  1. Beat me to it... lol. As soon as I saw this his name popped into my head. He should be able to shed some light on this for sure. Overall... the stuff looks neat but is an unknown to me as I don't have any experience with protos and test carts etc. Hope you have a special item or two in there!
  2. As much as I don't need this... well I really WANT it anyway. I passed on the NES Lego set but this Atari one is something I will have in my display cabinet. I can imagine people making new 'cartridges' for this system in the future as well. Why not? lol
  3. The controls for many of the Intelly games that used the keypad numbers is what will stop many games from appearing on a future collection. The Imagic games would be nice to be included like Demon Attack! I wonder if there will be a collection 3... my guess is not likely. Overall for Intellivision games on the 2 collections, I'm completely satisfied with what they've put on them. I've successfully scratched off the need/desire to buy an Intellivision as the games I wanted have been included. Vic20? I dunno... I played some games on it but when I had the C64, it pretty much mothballed the Vic20. Even if they do release a Vic collection, I'm likely to grab it as I've learned that each collection features at least one game that you didn't expect to enjoy that you never knew of. It also likely has a game or two that you wanted to try (and sometimes those don't hold up well as it's not the 80's/90's anymore and they just aren't what you thought they would be lol). Overall, I'm enjoying the ride with the Evercade. I haven't played any of the arcade collections yet so I have those to look forward to. R-Type has me excited... sure I suck at the game but I wanna play it again. lol Ahh the future seems pretty exciting for the Evercade.
  4. And I'm now up and running the Intellivision 2 collection! Hurray! Cloudy Mountain is THE game! Thanks again Carl!
  5. Well I guess it's time I upgrade the firmware on this thing then eh? lol Thanks for the info! Never did a firmware update yet as I've not had any issues. Thanks!
  6. Well... I sat down this weekend at the lake and fired up the 2 new carts for the Evercade. Micro Mages is a lot of fun! I will play a lot more of that game. Then I fired up Cloudy Mountain... no bueno... the cart loads and the menu allows me to go through the games to select. When I select a game I receive an error message. Bad GROM error or something like that. I've tweeted at Evercade with a picture of the error... hopefully there's an easy fix. If not, I'll get an replacement copy from my supplier. Other than that... the included manuals and cards for both of these are awesome! Makes the Intellivision collection my favourite! Now if I can play the games that would be the cherry on top! lol
  7. Got my Intellivision 2 Collection and Morphcat collection today... other than taking them out of the shipping box, they haven't been played just yet. Tomorrow after work perhaps. lol Overall, I'm just happy to be hearing that Cloudy Mountain plays well. I'll give the other titles on the collection a go or two but really this will be my D&D cart. lol
  8. I think I'll have to check these out! Thanks! And people said that nothing good could come from these threads about the Amico.
  9. Well at least the Intellivision name will live on when my Evercade fires up Intellivision collection 2 later this week. As long as I can play Cloudy Mountain I don't need an Amico. Now, that remake of Cloudy Mountain that was shown in brief bits looked interesting... perhaps it'll come out on another platform in the future.
  10. Cloudy Mountain on the Evercade is interesting from my understanding. The diagonal movement on the mountain map screen is confusing as you need to use diagonal movements which are done with the face buttons for up down left right but you use L1 to open the keypad to get into the diagonal numbers (1,3,7 and 9). I never used the diagonal shots a whole lot while in battle so that doesn't hamper me too much. I can't wait for this collection to arrive! Tower of Doom is another game I look forward to playing... never played it a whole bunch in the past but this one should be a fun game to get into.
  11. A particular c64 game I would like to see on the Evercade is the Incredible Wizard which was a Jumpman/Jumpman Jr style game with a Wizard as the main character. That would be fun to see in a collection! As for the recent releases... my games are on the way and should be here by July 7. Then it'll be Cloudy Mountain time!
  12. The Technos collection is still available at my online store in Canada. The Namco carts are long gone though.
  13. Just pre-ordered the Morphcat and Intellivision 2 collections. Really want to see how Cloudy Mountain plays on it. If it's done well enough, I will never need an Intellivision console again. I may have to spring for an Advanced D & D intellivision manual though.. just to make it more official. lol It's THE game for me on the system... always has been growing up. Nothing on my 2600 scratched that itch in the day... which made my Intellivision buddy a great buddy as we would swap systems for a weekend and I'd play a lot of that. Ahh good times. That Morphcat cart is going to be fun as the Micro Mages looks like a fun game... if not, well I can always sell it here in the marketplace. lol
  14. Faxanadu was a great game... maybe a little too Zelda like for some but I enjoyed it. My buddy and I played through that game over a weekend many many moons ago. lol But that Deadly Towers... still don't like it. MAybe I'll give it a run on emulation one day to see how it's aged. lol Well maybe not...
  15. I read on Nintendolife that this was coming to the Switch but I haven't seen confirmation on the Atari site. Fingers crossed. If not on the Switch, then I'll play it on Steam. lol Not much for Steam gaming but this is a game that I'll make an exception for. lol
  16. I'll second the Speed Rumbler!! I enjoyed this in the arcade and was waiting for it to come to the NES... but it never did (although I thought I saw it in a Capcom manual as 'coming soon") I like car combat games and this was pretty fun in the arcade! I should pick it up on the Capcom collection for the Switch.
  17. Deadly Towers on the NES... the game looked epic you being a warrior and making your way through these towers. Really got me excited with the D&D vibes... then I played it. Fall of the ledge and poof your dead. The game drove me crazy and I stopped playing it the first day. I might have tried it again a few days and a few weeks later but it just drove me crazy that it would have been the most mint copy for NES that I had as a kid. Well that game and my copy of Blaster Master (it was still sealed in the box)... only because someone bought it for me and I already had the game. lol
  18. I have had issues in the past with what I will call vidiots online. I don't play a lot of online games.. but when I did it was Destiny 1 and 2 over the years and more recently it was Fallout 76. Yes I've played others but I never got into the multiplayer aspects much. I prefer playing as a single player when possible. In Destiny, you would get your typical kids screaming and acting like children. Easy enough is to mute them. When playing PVP you get good and bad players and the turnover happens quite a bit. If you are having a rough go and encounter a lot of bad apples... yes it can happen... then all I do is go play some of the PVE missions. Find someone trying to pester you there, just go to orbit and find a different mission to tackle. With Fallout 76, I tend to encounter a lot of people who want to work together to accomplish things and thats cool. Once in a while there will be someone taunting you but the game has restrictions in place that won't cause you much grief unless you respond to their attack. Overall, I just go wander about the wasteland. lol Other games, like sports, I tend to play offline. Once in a while I will play online to see how good the community has become and it's amazing. I'm not a good gamer in terms of skill. I play to have fun. I guess ultimately, it comes down to having fun. If you aren't having fun. Make a change. Find a different game... or a different activity. As for what game companies need to do... they provide a playground for you to play in. Look at it like taking your kids to the park... do you supervise them there? Perhaps you need to do so when they are online at home. Do you trust your kids to be good while unsupervised at the park or out playing with their friends? Then the same should apply when being online. "Make good choices" is what they should be taught. There are extreme cases that companies can get involved and get police etc involved but for typical 'bullying'... that behaviour shouldn't be tolerated but the player being bullied has many avenues to take... going to the game company and complaining shouldn't be anywhere near the first. I guess I have to revert to the FUN factor of gaming. Play... have fun... when it isn't fun anymore... stop playing and do something else. The only people who need to take gaming seriously are the developers who work hard to make these worlds for everyone to experience.
  19. Bentley Bear getting some much needed love! I'll grab this when it's available! I'll get the Switch version just for the portability. This has Wario Ware all over it and looks to be a lot of fun! And besides... it's Atari! :) Look forward to all the nods to classic games... especially the deep cuts. lol Imagine a Math Grand Prix nod or something bizzare... that'll be awesome!
  20. An arcade spinner and/or track ball controller for some awesome arcade games! It will be a fun time to see what they have in the pipeline!
  21. Wow... he was releasing these monthly and now he has to stop them? Did he get in trouble for these from Atari or did he decide to stop doing these for other reasons? I enjoyed them over the last couple of years. Too bad. At least he has the Patreon still and the score challenges etc.
  22. Yes it did.. Nessy the Robot is the May game. Just need to update your VS and it'll replace the previous game of the month.
  23. I always enjoyed playing the Twisted Metal series of games. The first two were an absolute blast! The multiplayer online stuff in later systems did not interest me. I'm excited to see what the new version will bring to the series. Perhaps it'll encourage me to get a PS5. If they focus on online multiplayer, I'll likely skip the game.
  24. This is a great way to advertise upcoming games as a free to play 'demo' for a month at a time. Just shows how the people at Blaze/Evercade are constantly coming up with more and more cool ideas! And here I was merely hoping to hear/read about the next collection announcement. I guess this was just that but not the way we are used to learning about them. lol
  25. I agree 100% about not liking a particular collection for the Evercade. I have purchased 95% of the collections so far and have sold some of the collections that I didn't enjoy or I've had my enjoyment with and no longer wanted. The one collection I never bought was Interplay 2... there was nothing on that collection that grabbed my interest. Maybe one day I'll grab it but at this point I have a bundle of collections that I have interest in and some of those are still sitting in shrinkwrap. lol Oh and another bonus of the Evercade collections... the price of admission to these collections is so good! And I pre-order my new release 2 packs and get free shipping!
