  1. It seems I haven't been following my own thread and just now saw these posts. Originally I had thought about many different iterations and possibilities for designing/building my own modernized 2600 and integrating the 2600rgb into the design was one of the first thoughts I had. I decided not to for various reasons, the biggest being that I decided I wanted the design to be something I could source components for and build on my own without having to be dependent on ready-made solutions from others (like the UAV and 2600rgb). Now it seems the 2600rgb is no longer available and the native video quality out of the 2600plus is fairly close to the UAV, at least to my eyes, so I am pretty happy with my decision.
  2. I always get a shipping notice before a package is dispatched. My notices are usually received on Sunday though I got one on Saturday at least once.
  3. There is nothing mandatory in the retro gaming marketplace. If someone feels they can make a profit building an FPGA device then they will. If they don't think it is worth the effort and expense then they won't. Many manufacturers have found software emulation devices to pencil out for them financially where as an FPGA device did not. If you would like an FPGA device you have two options. Build one yourself or pay someone else to design and build it for you. Just my observation and opinion of course.
  4. The race is on! The 2600+ is in the hands of US delivery and Al just emailed me tracking numbers for my last chance orders. W00h00!!!
  5. They still haven't shipped the one I ordered over a month ago. It's looking like my last chance order might arrive first.
  6. Yup. I had the same experience. Glad you finally got yours.
  7. Well my CC was billed 3 weeks ago and Amazon.co.uk still hasn't shipped my order. I contacted customer service a few days ago and they said it was stuck in processing or something and they would expedite and send me a tracking number in 48 hours, and those 48 hours have come and gone. I guess they really don't want to sell it to me at their advertised (and billed) price at the time. They have since raised their advertised price by 56% percent. I guess I'll keep waiting. Talk about lousy customer service...
  8. It is definitely very cool that you gave us a chance to order things before they disappeared. In this hobby it seems once something goes away it goes away for good. That's why I pretty much wrote myself a blank check for games purchases, but even then I still had to limit myself. I knew as soon as I read the words "Last Chance" your fate was sealed.
  9. Thank you for taking the time to explain the situation. I appreciate it and I completely understand. I enjoy using your creations and I am happy to have had the pleasure of ordering directly from you a couple of times in the past.
  10. Unfortunately he has decided not to ship to people in the US and is directing people to the brewing academy instead.
  11. The MiSTer 7800 core works well on every 7800 game I've tried.
  12. Mine just arrived today. Came in a small brown bubble wrap envelope and shipped from very close by interestingly enough by UPS smartpost. After opening it up I must admit to being pretty underwhelmed. I even checked the atari.com website to see what the thing was supposed to look like. I'll check the contents and transfer speed later. Basically the laser etched Atari logo is not worth paying anything for in my opinion.
  13. Has anyone got their USB stick yet? I'm still waiting on mine...
  14. That's actually a very interesting idea. Maybe someone will try that one day... Though probably only as a one-off.
  15. Yes I wonder if I will get my order. My credit card flagged the original transaction but then I let them know it was legit. Amazon's website said they would retry the charge in a few days, then my new credit card arrived that I never asked for but the credit card company said was for my protection. Then I activated the card and noticed Amazon automatically updated the old credit card in my account to the newly activated one... Well if I don't get it I'll wait a year or two and pick one up cheap on Ebay. (I already have my original pre-order one.)
  16. Not as good of a deal after shipping costs to the US but still a $24 discount if sent to the US. I wonder if it arrives in the US in a bunch of little pieces...
  17. @OscarGungan You are not alone. This is the response I got when I contacted Atari about this issue: Thank you for contacting customer support. We are truly sorry that you only received part of your order. Your Atari PC USB will be shipping separately and our warehouse team will notify you as soon as the rest of your order is queued for shipment. Best regards, Atari Support
  18. There's always next Christmas! 😁
  19. @Tidus79001 and anyone else who might know: I just purchased the Team Group 2x16GB https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08T17RQ87 from Amazon. It is as the pictures show: 2 modules of TED416G3200C22-SBK. My VCS runs with it. I went into BIOS setup under "Setup Utility" -> "AMD CBS" -> "UMC Common Options" -> "DDR4 Common Options" -> "DRAM Timing Configurations" Overclock -> changed to Enable Memory Clock Speed -> changed to 1600MHz I didn't change any other setting. (All the other settings are defaulted to AUTO.) Is this all I have to do to run at 3200MHz for the dram? Under "Main" "System Memory Speed" shows as "3200 MT/s" and the VCS does run. I have no idea if the CPU is really using the DRAM at 3200 though.
  20. That was me. I figured out the Rockwell CPU was the cause of the issues I was having. I was getting crashes and glitches on one or two E.X.O. demo builds running on the dragonfly. I started replacing SRAM and reworking circuits on my 7800 motherboard trying to get rid of the issue. My particular issue went away when I replaced my Rockwell CPU with a Synertek CPU.
  21. I did yesterday. I tried again now after reading your message and I can't believe it but it worked! This time I pulled out the power cord. Put the power cord back in. Started the machine. And the credit card that failed last time showed up as already being saved in the system. Then I purchased with that saved card and it worked.
