  1. Basketball: 54-50 = win by 4. Hockey: 15-5 = win by 10.
  2. Holy smokes! Almost forgot to post. Dragon: 1694 Pac 4K:13280 Seaweed: 1235
  3. Ooh, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I would wish for better controls and probably no diagonal bombing runs from those ties, but other than than pretty good. Favorite Star Wars Character: Wedge Antilles. Granted, this has a lot to do with the excellent X-wing series of books which flesh out his character more. It is awesome. Some would say even legendary now. Here is my game: Star Wars Trench Run. You play as either Wedge or Biggs (could also see this as a two player game) protecting Luke's xwing. Below the three fighters are three Ties. They fire up at all the rebel fighters. You must avoid their fire and protect Luke's fighter by crashing into any fire that targets him. I am thinking this needs to be paddle controls for precision. Each fighter can take 10 hits but as time passes, their shields will repair. From above, from time to time turrets will fire at Biggs and Wedge. If you press your button, you pull out of the trench run and if you have kept Luke alive long enough, he will blow up the death star.
  4. Might have a chance for one more shot. Here is what I got.
  5. Games that are easy: Air Sea Battle - it's basically pushing one button in some variations Bowling - button and one direction change Kaboom - no buttons even!!! Indy 500 Surround Pole Position Basketball Games that are not easy but my son (4) loves: Bump n Jump H.E.R.O Princess Rescue Zippy the Porcupine Stampede
  6. I would also be interested. I love a good 4 player game. I am thinking some clever new obstacles and maybe an option for special skills. Maybe something like best top speed, best acceleration, highest jumper, furthest jumper. Classic games with new life breathed into them is always a win. If you do betting, might be best to call your own horses place with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd being the only options. Betting on yourself to lose is probably not a good idea.
  7. New score: 62947 Not quite as good as the last one but now with twice as much "not cheating". FYI: I must have hit F1 on stella, F2 is reset. Total accident. Funny thing was, I didn't identify it as a teddy bear. I thought I had unlocked an award ALA Enduro. I thought it was a centepede.
  8. I don't think I can do better than this. 78050 I set a goal to get to 20K before I lost a life, this was the only time I did it. Creating corridors as explained in the manual was really helpful, as knowing when you get extra lives (at 10K). So don't do anything dangerous when you are about to get a new life.
  9. Here is my best so far. Might be able to do another run. Couple tips I picked up. 1. Destroyer always after the second volley of the planes 2. The dive bomber attacks then loops around, on the next loop the dive bomber flies low and level. Perfect for a clean shot.
  10. Fair warning to all. This game is really easy to clear your score. It restarts the game if you press the button after the game ends. But people usually are pressing the button like mad I the hopes of getting that last enemy or to prevent death. This is a good one to film if you have the ability. Even a cell phone cam might do. The better your run, the more frustrated you will be if the score gets cleared before you get your pic. At least having a video might mean you could rewind to the last frame you had a valid score. Such a great game. Looking forward to playing it this week.
  11. Huzzah! I can quit my second job, the sole purpose being able to buy the original. That is great news.
  12. Yeah that does sound rather mechanical. Very little risk with the way the planes shoot. Another way to keep the scores that have already come down is to just agree on a reasonable number of times the destroyer could be hit. I was thinking 3 or so. That would likely not negate most people' score but not allow people to get in an infinite loop. Also, people that can maximize that part of the score would be welcome to try but they couldn't just camp there. And now that I think of it, there is a new risk of accidentally killing a 4th and ruining your run. I think levels would be the most pure, but I would hate to negate that miracle run somebody might already have had.
  13. Concerning leaching, I was not familiar with that term. I am familiar with "farming". I am not trying to be facitious, just trying to engage with the conversation and bring in more people. I think it would be good to remember that there is a fuzzy or fine line between leaching/farming and just using repeatable patterns. For example, I recently learned you can control where the black stallion appears in stampede. This would certainly give me an advantage against some people, though my weak skills prevent too much advantage. Sometimes there are safe spots, or tricks that score more points. I think there is a difference between utilizing a bug and understanding the programming. I also think there is a difference between a mechanical process that garuntees success and staying in a lower difficulty level for as long as possible. I also think that tactics that give a lot of points and are still dangerous mitigates the risk of something being cheating (like only attacking dive-bombing enemies in galaxian). Rather than making a rule for all time, I think it is better to decide case by case. If a person thinks they've found more of an exploit rather than a tactics, we can share what it was and let the community/Vocelii weigh in. I think the transparency would be welcome and even interesting.
  14. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my mom after she found our rather sophisticated plans for building a submersible when I was in high school. She told me under no circumstances would I be allowed to build a submarine. I said, "well can we at least build an airplane?". She agreed. I asked her why she would allow us to build an airplane but not a submarine and she said, "I believe you can sink".
  15. Frankenstein 2200. I enjoyed this one mostly, but jumping from log to log when it randomly decides to jump straight up...Arrgh! Halloween: 18225
  16. Here is my best so far. 27220 Also, the number at the bottom is how many times you have hit the snake. I feel that is useful to know as well since if you can take the snake out before it's shot kills your commando, sometimes that is better than hoping you can make it all across the screen for the save.
  17. Just because I always appreciate the tips people give. Right now I am just over 19k. 1. Pressing the button stops the shield. This is particularly useful when trying to block the energy beam. It simultaneously fires so, while I have never successfully done it you could block and attack in the same movement. When you release the button it will take the current pot level so you can come out of that state really fast or slow depending on how far you've turned the paddle. 2. Bigger implication for points. There is a tone that is played randomly during the game. If you hit the snake right after the tone you will instakill the snake and get 10k. Ironically the only time I have done it, I had the audio muted.
  18. Got some time early this week. Might try again later in the week.
  19. Fun week. I've been playing a lot of bowling with my 4 year old. I can't use the method I found for higher score :(. For my it was about making a shot that I could duplicate over and over. Less fun that way anyway. Bowling: 268 Kaboom: 1306
  20. I feel like I could get a couple hundred more points but I am out of time.
  21. I don't think I have ever worked harder for a valid score.
