  1. Hi Beery, no hurry! I have to do some preparations before!
  2. OK, so I can try to add some minor changes in the source to support a little bit more the German language. Do you know how much memory is available in the different segments? I will try to use the source files on the harddisk with GenASM. Last time I only could do the assembling with the source files on the floppy drive. But now the sources are too big for one floppy. And before all I will update my mame version and learn a little more about using the hard- and floppy-disks in the GENEVE environment. I got my second sidecar tipi repaired, so I can setup a second BBS system. I will change the TBOX99 to German only and setup a new BBS system for English only. Wolfgang
  3. Hi, today I updated my TBOX99 BBS to the new version. Yes, now the program finds the new messages even in the GENERAL message base. Thank You Wolfgang
  4. SYSOP is user #1 1 message from 4 in the GENERAL base read, in other message bases all messages read. WOLHESS is user #2 only a few messages read NEWMSG
  5. Hi Beery, I made two more messages in the other message base 'Retro Computers'. These messages the system finds after "check for new messages" and shows it on the screen, but the new messages in the GENERAL base it didn't find.
  6. Ah yes, I remember. I made two more messages in the GENERAL base, but the system didn't find it. I choosed the "Check for new messages" function with my wolhess account and I can't quit the diplay of new messages. I have to check all the 100+ messages until no more new messages are in the system. Right now I didn't pressed any key, so I the system time out brings the system back to "keycheck". Maybe it is possible to press (Q)uit and the system shows the message base menu?
  7. Hi Beery, Thank You for the new version of the BBS software. You are right, I can run the software on my system. The new version works for me same as the last version. In the 'non ansi' version the page-stop works but in the 'ansi' version it shows the help-file or the 'Info on BBS-file' continuously until the file ends. Today I noticed another behavior: I made a new message in the GENERAL message base from my wolhess account. Then I logged in with my sysop account and choosed the "check for new messages" function. The system tolds me, there are no new messages, but there is a new message in the GENERAL message base.
  8. Hi Beery, This file contains my changed ANSI menu and info files. AfterHours_Ansi_Files.zip All files should be copied to the AFTAR subdirectory. Wolfgang
  9. My new TBOX99 main menu in ANSI mode and in normal mode:
  10. Today I made the update of my TBOX99 BBS system and it works very well. I added some colored messages and menus and other BBS files, so someone can test the colored menus. I used the built in Windows telnet client and all my changes are working with the new software. Thank you @9640News, the ANSI color version is a verry good update to the BBS software. What I miss is the page stop after 24 lines If I show a large file. You can test it with the Newsletter or with the help file. The system shows the text continuously until it ends. The same happens if I'm searching in the file library. It is no interrupt possible after the search process ends. Access to my BBS system with the windows client works like this: o mytbox99.ddns.net 61643 or with other telnet clients: mytbox99.ddns.net:61643
  11. Hi Berry, thank you for the update. Now I have two good reasons to update my system.?
  12. „Retro Computer“ and „General“ is Ok for me.
  13. The message bases are part of the program. And it needs some more message files and a change in the menu file. If we have enought memory it is doable, but the program has to be expanded and it has to be reassembled. I think Beery can tell us, if we have enough memory for one or two new message bases. I've also thought about a new message base "Retro Computers" or "Other Computers"
  14. @jedimatt42, Yes my autocmd is workis again as before. Once again, that was a super quick fix! Many Thanks
  15. Thank You for your tips, I will change my autocmd as you recommended.
  16. Hi @jedimatt42, today I made the update from ForceCommand 1.17 to 1.25 but my autocmd file does not work properly. It starts good and I can select the EDIT80 program, but if I select the menu item "TI System Info" or simply select "X for Quit" ForceCommand shows the message "Error, label already defined at line: 8553". And the system blocks with the tipi LED is on. After a reset all is good again. So I tried some other versions. My problem occures in version 1.24. The line number 8553 is always the same. In version 1.22 my autocmd works without a problem, the same as in version 1.17. Do I have to change something in my autocmd file? Maybe I will make a shorter autocmd file and using the new fcmenu function for my menu items. p.s. I have a F18A and a SAMS card in my system. My autocmd file is still under construction: AUTOCMD Thank you for your help!
  17. Hello Beery, thank you very much for the ansi version of the After Hour software. I still have to finish my current work, then I can test the new BBS version.
  18. Hi Hans and all, Yesterday I installed the F18A board in my TI system. The result is impressive! Image with 9929 and PHA2030 Image with F18A Image with 9929 and PHA2030 Image with F18A Here are a few pictures of the installation process: 1. Test the system with the 9929 video processor 2. Open the housing and test again 3. Prepare the upper part of the housing for the VGA connector 4. Prepare the upper shielding plate and swap the video processor 9929 with the F18A board 5. Test the system with the built-in F18A 6. Put everything back together in the case 7. Final test after everything is reassembled. Installation is very easy and the result is a great picture!
  19. I think this is a result of patching the original Multiplan version to work with 80 columns on the TI hardware. It seems this is not an official version from Microsoft. I have Multiplan for my CP/M Plus system and for my MS-DOS PC in 80 column and with these I have no problems.
  20. Yes you are right, my both multiplan versions are in different subfolders but both are named "TIMP"! MP40: DSK1. = TIPI.MM.P.TIMP and MP80: DSK1. = TIPI.MM.P.80.TIMP DATA: DSK2. = TIPI.MM.P.TIMP.TAB Today I tested to save a new worksheet on my real floppy drive DSK3. and this is working with both versions (40 and 80 column). Existing worksheets I can load and save on a mapped tipi drive only with the same name. (also with 40 and 80 column version). To save an existing worksheet with a different file name or in symbolic or other format I have to save it on the real floppy like a new worksheet. So my approach for new worksheets or new filenames is to save it on a real floppy. Then run dm2k and copy the new file to my tipi data folder. My normal work process is to map the TIMP folder to DSK1. and the data folder to DSK2. and I use DSK3. for my real floppy drive 3. Then I run the multiplan cartridge directly from the FG99 or from my Mega Menu program or from a Force Command menu. So I can load an existing worksheet, work with it and I can save it back to the tipi folder. If I need an other filename for the worksheet or if I need a new worksheet, I save it to the real floppy DSK3 and later I copy the new file to the tipi folder DSK2. All the above is working with the FG99 original phm3113.bin multiplan cartridge file. The picture shows my worksheet with which I document my drinks purchases. The modified cartridge file to autostart the multiplan cartridge is also working for existing worksheet files. But this bin file has problems to save files even on a real floppy drive! Multiplan displays the message "Cannot write file" and then it hangs so I have to reset the TI console. After I was doing this, the disk in DSK3. is corrupt. It cannot read or write data and dm2k shows an error 6. So I have to reformat the disk. The 80 column version cannot print a worksheet, so If I will print it I use the 40 column version. This is the reason I configured my Mega Menu and my Force command AUTOCMD so I can select both versions of Multiplan. I also tested to print the workspace to a file. This works also only on a real floppy and only possible with the 40 column version of Multiplan! This file I can load with the TIW or like in the next picture with Fred Kaals 80 column editor or in the Funnelweb Editor with 80 column: If I configure the PI.PIO printer with Print - Options - TAB (CTRL+A) setup: PI.PIO When I print the worksheet it prints to the tipi printer and I can show it on the PC and print it on my PC-Printer.
  21. Did you use the filname with the correct name in upper or lower case? If you have mapped the folder, you can catalog the files in DSK1 with dm2k or with call cat(1) in rxb. so you are shure you have the mp files in the mapped tipi folder.
  22. I think I can save a new file on a real disc with the 40 column version. I will check this with the 80 column version tomorrow morning.
  23. thank you very much for the detailed explanation. This is a very interesting way to supplement your own program extensions.
  24. I have always observed this behavior if the program is not found on the assigned TIPI drive. Then the DSR searches for the DSK1 device on other CRU addresses and finds the TI disk controller and my physical DSK1 on CRU 1100. As a rule, I have just entered a wrong path or file name.
