Why would you need wifi and a subscription service on the Harmony cart? It doesn't make any sense. An old SD card will hold every game ever made and the Harmony Encore will play them. All the games are right there on the Harmony.

Hmmm... I wonder if such a service could be built into Stella. Would be interesting to rent new Homebrew games...

    3. Trip2018

But it could also lead to some awesome exclusives. Not only that but developers would see if their demos are good enough to make into full games

    Wide Sprites

this is an album of sprites that will be used with SpiceWares 2x Sprite Vector Converter http://www.spiceware.org/atari/vector2x.php
  3. Let me know if there are any features you would like in the cart.
  4. I'm still using windows xp

    1. carlsson

I am mainly using XP. I have a laptop with 10 that has ssen more use lately, and a desktop with 7 that I built six years ago but barely have broken in. Instead I'm using this 12 year old XP machine which has all the software I need.

I still keep XP around, too. For certain specialized tasks and for certain older pieces of hardware, none of the never versions will do, and I appreciate its small memory footprint.

I have around on a VM for those odds and ends useful things that never got updated. I certainly don't surf the web with it though.

  5. Dang, that's to bad. So then your saying that those 16 to 32 pixel wide sprites are just vectorized NUSIZX sprites? EDIT: I used your 2x sprite converter but I am having trouble adding it into my bb code. I tried using the asm, inline, include commands and got nowhere. Can you help? I have no assembly expierience.
  6. Hey, I know bB can only generate sprites only 8 pixels wide, but im working on a game that reqires a slightly wider level of detail. True I could shrink the width down to 8 pixels then use NUSIZ0, but it looks awful that way does anyone know of a kernel. Thanks.

  8. New list -Built in bios -Extra 8k ram -Cartridge pull out protector (If you pull out a cartridge, it will reboot to the bois) -Pokey chip -Upgradeable -Savekey support -Easily compatable with bB (I don't have any assembly expierience, hopefully someone is willing to code a kernel) -pcm sound sample chip
  9. I was also considering uograded graphics chip but I like 2600 graphics.
  10. a new catridge idea

  11. So I was puting away my 2600 when an idea hit me, what if there was an advanced passthrough cartridge almost like the sega 32x. Here's a list of features it could include. -Built in bios -Extra 64k ram -Cartridge pull out protector (If you pull out a cartridge, it will reboot to the bois) -Sid chip (so we can finally have better music in our games) -Upgradeable -Dpc+ and Superchip compatible I would love to do this myself but I'm not very good with electronics nor do I have the budget to do it. XD
  12. Just got 2 new 2600 games. Activision "Boxing" and "Ice hockey".

    1. GoldLeader

That's so awesome!...I remember back in the day, one friend got Ice Hockey and another got Boxing. I must have borrowed Hockey because I thought I owned it (just checked haha, nope). Not big on Sports games but I got Skiing and Tennis.

    2. slab0meat

Ice Hockey is one of the greatest games ever.

    3. Trip2018

Not big on much sport in general, but you must admit hockey is prety cool

    SID chip?

I was thinking it would play through the cartridge like the pokey chip did in the 7800.
  14. Trip2018

    SID chip?

Quick question, is there a bB kernel for the SID chip the way there's a pokey kernel for 7800 basic?

  16. I ran out of cycles when I added the 3d. So I made the playfield take a few frames to update.
  17. First: Happy New Year! Second: Yeah the ball physics are pretty bad, and i wasn't to happy with the playfield. Third: You can't do a backhand, its just a 3d pong where you have to hit the ball back. Also, I am working on a manual.

Can we just go straight to 2020, please? Without nuclear war, preferably.

    3. Trip2018

      I'd love that.

  19. Hi, I'm new here and am happy to release my "3d" tennis. If you find any glitches let me know. Atari_tenis.bin
