2600 / 7800, all but the 5V and GND lines can be in or out.

Is there a document somewhere that describes using INPT0-INPT5 as outputs? I've used SWACNT to set SWCHA as output, but I couldn't find a way to set INPT0-5 as output. Thanks!

RevEng added coarse vertical scrolling to the DPC+ kernel back when he had the time to work on batari Basic. There is no horizontal DPC+ scrolling at this time. Someone might come along and start working on batari Basic again and give us all kinds of goodies. Until then, we're lucky that we have vertical scrolling.

I guess I'll stick to the standard kernel.

Just wasn't known as "edutainment" then. Didn't hear that phrase until the 90's probably. Got a Radio Shack pong unit called TV Scoreboard (came with a light gun even) the Christmas before I "finally" got an Atari 2600.

technically first video games played at home were on a Sol Terminal 20. I'm a rare breed too.

hehe for the 'default' vcs game, it's a rollover i got bored i think another 30k in.

Game one I think I've rolled the score over three or four times before I just stopped... rarely getting below 7 ships in reserve. Not bragging, it's just as is said above, game 1 is a cakewalk compared to other versions. There was an Asteroids week on the 2600 High Score Club one week...

That was one of my favorite PC games as a kid. I loved the MIDI soundtracks.

Pretty sure I've seen a wedge shaped foam pillow that would be easy to turn into a 2600jr.

I don't think Steam is supported on XP anymore due to the version of the browsers that are on there. It doesn't work on my XP machine either.

read the system reqirements at the bottom of this page http://store.steampowered.com/about/ . I just found out that my pc is 99mhz short in speed and 8mb short in ram.
