Folks, many of you hard collectors around here know the name of Luiz Bonaccorsi. For me, this guys is such a legend. He is to be directly credited for the international discovery of Brazilian largely undocumented Atari market. My admiration for him takes place in form of a quick post in my blog. It's his history being told. All international Atari collectors should known a little bit about it. Here's my original post in Portuguese: http://bor.ba/av And here's Google Translation to English (very good, to be honest): http://bor.ba/aw

The reason to hate certain ebay resellers
TomBrazil replied to Atari_Bill's topic in Auction Central
Same stuff, same seller eBay Auction -- Item Number: 151450438515 -
Here's the seller again - at least he is stating clearly about being a repro. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321559170345 BTW, I tested it and it's B&W....

Shawn: Hehe Wonder: no instructions inside!

Thanx, Dave. Yes, I was suspicious of that "second chance". Still, I consider US$ 100 I paid to be a nice price for a repro, and furthermore, to help this "investigation". Let's see if he will pop more boxes out. BTW It's been a long time I don't see you selling rare stuff, please come back
-
Bought it as second chance. Glad to put picture here, so you guys can wonder what happened. They were taken via cell phone, if you need higher res, please LMK.

Having said that, let's bid to check that box up close?

I thought about that, but I'm not the expert here. Someone spent a huge amount on the CIB Air Raids, so... I feel bad even considering that, dont wanna put those colectors' acquisitions in Jeopardy.

2600 Felt Dust Covers for Atari Consoles - Handmade
TomBrazil posted a topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Hey guys, maybe some of you old timers are familiar with Bonaccorsi - for me he's quite a legend. He's a Brazilian collector who discovered and opened our market rare stuff to the world, many years ago. Many people here have bought from him. Well, his wife is making some interesting felt dust covers, in a variety of models (and accept orders for other models). Price is US$ 15 + US$ 2 shipping US or US$ 5 shipping any other country. Since they're hand made, they're not all equal. I'm uploading a base model for you guys take a look. For some models like HERO red, Pitfall! black and River Raid black (last ones of each series), he has many models ready to ship, with little difference between then. You can contact Bonaccorsi at bonaccorsi@gmail.com I will reserve Pitfall! gray for me, sorry -
Nobody will say anything? I didn't find a topic about it, how does this went to Venezuela? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321539917112 Repro game maybe ok, but repro box is a problem!

Thanx Torr, you know, my country's flag transformed in Atari stuff. But not my creation, really. It was my company's designer. -
Videogaming Illustrated - First Issue
TomBrazil replied to TomBrazil's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yep, this is really history.... I have a friend who researched and wrote a book about Atari market in Brazil. We envy your abundance of information. Here, in the old days, everything was poorly documented, printed/manufactured in small runs, so it's kinda hard to properly understand the market of so many years ago. In the US this is easier, and of course all the printed material you have just helps! -
Videogaming Illustrated - First Issue

Thanx, Atari_Bill. Yep, doesn't sound like valuable for me. I don't collect mags, however I thought this issue is amazing. Very nice to see those old ads again - but in original material. -
Hey guys, I just got this mag with an Atari lot from eBay. If I'm not mistaken this is the first issue of the magazine. It's in perfect condition, nothing seems to be missing or damaged. Is this valuable? Thanx,

Atari2600 Seller with a practical way to ship boxes
TomBrazil replied to TomBrazil's topic in Auction Central
I'll try to get the link. You know, sometimes I feel I'm being BORING when I ask too much stuff for these people. Recently I had a game box closed with tape after my freight forwarder opened it to take a picture of the cart. I'm actually glad it was a common one.... -
Atari2600 Seller with a practical way to ship boxes
TomBrazil replied to TomBrazil's topic in Auction Central
Sorry Al, I don't have details at this moment. My friend bought it via ebay and I just received from him in my US address. I'll try to get info. It was a really big box, I guess when packing the seller found a "better way" to ship those awkward boxes -
