  1. I have an Atari C-380 Video Pinball console. The system seems to work fine, except there is no sound. This unit has an internal speaker (does not use the TV for sound.) I thought maybe I had a bad speaker, but tried another speaker and still no sound whatsoever... no static, no clicks, nothing. I have checked for cold solder joints and such, but have not the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
  2. Thank you... I feel stupid for not looking at the other side of the board. I appreciate your reply.
  3. I am putting back together an Atari C-380 Video Pinball game. I have a question about the four 2-pin wiring connectors on the main board. Since they are identical, I don't want to connect the wrong wire to any of them. The four wires are: -Battery power -Speaker -Rotary knob -Right flipper Can someone tell or show me what goes where? I have attached a picture. Thank you.
  4. What can you do with the Ethernet connection, for example? I have my router and network switches all in the same room as my intended Atari setup. Gosh, I wish I still had all my Atari 8 stuff I sold, probably way cheap, 20 years ago. :-/ Thanks y'all - Walter
  5. Should I even bother with a modem? I have an 850 on the way, which I will use to connect up an old dot-matrix printer like an Epson LX-80 (I had that exact model). Wondering if I should get an external modem to use with the 850, or would it be cooler to grab an Atari branded modem? Will I even have anything I can use the modem for? If not, is there any cool 850 serial things I should know about like an Ethernet adapter or something? I have a home Ethernet network with a NAS (\\ipaddress\sharename access from my Windows PC). Thanks! ---Walter
  6. Thanks everyone - this has been taken care of. Much appreciated.
  7. Would anyone with the ability to do so, be willing to copy me a few Atari 8-bit diskettes? I have an Atari 800XL and a 1050 drive, but absolutely no 5.25" diskettes and no software. I cannot even test my system beyond the built-in self-test. I'd be willing to pay for your time, the diskettes and shipping of course. Everything I see online is way more than I want to spend, considering I will probably go with an SIO2SD once I am sure what I have works. Thanks. ---Walter
