  1. thanks, everyone. I'm going to do an episode on my channel about the 5200 and I'll use all the information you guys gave and give credit, naturally. I really wish i could find an affordable 5200. It seems as if everyone is selling 2600's but I'm having a hard time finding a 5200. If any of you have one you'd like to part with, please PM me. Thanks!
  2. I've never heard of Tempest Extreme. What's the story behind it?
  3. In the latest episode Al and I discuss expensive and hard to find Atari games for the final time. Do any of you own these games? How much did you pay for them?
  4. I will as soon as I can find one for sale for a reasonable price.
  5. I appreciate all the comments, guys. Thank you. If any of you have a refurbished 5200 you would like to sell, please let me know.
  6. In the latest episode Larry and I discuss games that came from the ocean. Did we miss anything? What is your favorite nature-related game? Let us know! We're only 3 episodes away from 100!!

    Atari 5200

I am interested in possibly purchasing an Atari 5200. I would like one that has been refurbished and would work on a modern TV. I would also prefer one that has working joysticks. Please let me know. Thank you!!
  8. My latest hack is another Moomin-related game. In this game you take on the role of Little My. Stinky is at it again! This time he stole Moominpappa's hat, Snork's glasses, The Hobgoblin's hat, and Moominmama's purse. Being the inexperienced thief that he is, Stinky dropped all his loot! Your job is to pick up as many of the items as you can in 20 minutes! Of course there are obstacles in your way like Stinky himself, you have to swing over pitfalls and the mamelukes, Snufkin's fire, and if you try to go underground the hattifatteners are out to get you. Who knew the woods in Moomin Valley were so dangerous? But as you know, Little My isn't afraid of anything! Little My's Scavenger Hunt.bin
  9. Okay. Eventually I'll have to get a refurbished 5200.
  10. Thank you! I haven't tried it on Harmony yet, as I do have a cart. And they said it couldn't be done! All I had to see was Thomas Jentzsch's name attached and that explained it all. Great job!!
  11. Question, was there ever a more completed prototype of Tempest for the 5200 found or has anyone made a homebrew of it?
  12. Thanks, guys. I appreciate all your input.
  13. I have a few questions about the Atari 5200, as I never owned one. I know that one of the complaints about the 5200 was that you couldn't play 2600 games on it. I read somewhere that an adapter was made so that you could. Was that made back in the day or more recently? I heard that the biggest problem with the 5200 was that there were issues with the hardware (the system itself, joysticks, etc). How much truth is there to that? If you were going to tell someone to give the 5200 another chance, what reasons would you give? Thanks, guys! I'll give credit to the answers given in a forth-coming episode on my channel.
  14. This week's episode will be the final one dedicated to Atari 2600 prototypes as I have pretty much covered them all in some way or another. I know there are a few that I haven't discussed, but this will be the final episode dedicated especially to them. Of the prototypes covered in this episode, which of them would you like to see completed or be dumped? Let me know! Thanks!!
  15. In today's episode Mumford and I discuss games that were based on movies. Sometimes, we've found that the games were better than the movies they were inspired by. What is your favorite movie based game? Which movie would you have preferred to see a game for? Let me know.
  16. I had a previous version of the rom uploaded. This one is the final version with doctorclu's Moomin logo.
  17. In the latest episode Humphrey and I discuss casino card games. What was your favorite game featured? I personally prefer the Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack for the Intellivision. Just make sure you have your overlays!
  18. Larry and I play Nintendo World Championship 1990. Which of us is the master of 8 bit games? Find out! If you could have created a championship game which 3 games would you choose? Let me know...
  19. Welcome to Moominvalley! This is the home of Moomin and his friends and family. For over 60 years children around the world have been fascinated by the stories of Moomin, Snufkin, Little My, and the others. In recent years these characters have started to become recognized in America, whereas they have been a cultural phenomena in Northern Europe, the UK, and Japan for years. Game Story: Stinky is at it again! This time he tricked Snorkmaiden into visiting a giant's house on Lonely Mountain. He told her that he'd seen a beautiful tiara and that the giant would gladly let her have it. After she climbed onto a high shelf, Stinky ran off laughing! Now poor Snorkmaiden is stuck and cannot get down. Only Moomin can save the day! Guide Moomin through Moomin Valley past the giant hattifattener, across the winding river, up the steps into lonely mountain, past that darn Stinky, and finally rescuing Snorkmaiden from the high shelf! Once you rescue her you have to do it again, and this time it gets harder! Not only do you have to deal with the same hazards as before but a mean old crow, a pair of hattifatteners and a bat are trying to stop you! How many times can you rescue Snorkmaiden? This game wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of doctorclu. He spent many hours working on and perfecting this game. Even when I thought it was okay and passable, he kept on, wanting it to be great. It was my daughter and I's idea but it was his vision. Moomin-neo.bin
  20. In today's episode I discuss Martial Arts Fighting Games. It would be nice if someone could make a good fighting game for the 2600. The Kung Fu Fighters homebrew was pretty great, but I wonder if there will be others. Almost up to 100 episodes, when that happens I'll have a special announcement.
  21. I've always been a fan or his work and his brother's.
  22. I would mash the "Love" button if I could. I can't wait to see this!!
  23. In my latest episode I discuss martial arts games. These are side-scrolling, platform adventure games, the fighting games will be next week. Also, I'm having a Q&A episode next week, so please submit your questions here or on my Youtube channel page. Thank you!!
  24. In today's episode Mumford and me discuss games that were never ported to any home gaming console. Some will surprise you. Some were never planned at all (as far as I know), while others were but never got past the planning or prototype stage. What is your favorite arcade game that was never ported that you would like to see a homebrew programmer make? I'd like to know! Also, please submit questions that you have for me as I will be doing an FAQ episode in two weeks.
