  1. I have noticed that this debate has been going on ever since these were announced, and my opinion was always the same as Soulbuster. You can't make a distinction between this and the INTV Corporation releases, as they are the exact same thing. I, for one, am thrilled about it, as I never had any hope of actually collecting all of the games. Now that dream seems a little bit closer. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. Listen to the programmer interview with Joe Zbiciak on the Space Patrol episode of The Intellivisionaries. He explains how he squeezed every last ounce of juice out of the Intellivision in that game. I'm sure there are others, but that one really sticks in my mind. http://intellivisionaries.com/episode-35-space-patrol/ Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. This looks terrific. I thoroughly enjoy Grail of the Gods , and this looks to be in a very similar vein. I can't wait to give it a try! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. Very cool! I am (slowly) working on turning my Arcade1up Pac-Man cabinet into a vertical-orientation-MAME-games machine. We'll see how I do. I hope it turns out even somewhere near as cool as yours did. [emoji16] That frontend is pretty nice, by the way. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. I'm so excited about this, and I love that it gives me a great reason to crack out my ECS to play a game. [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. You guys are definitely the experts here. I'm just going on my memories of the many, many hours of that podcast. I just have a vague recollection of a couple of the Mattel guys talking about the idea of Auto Racing being a Hot Wheels game. Please don't take what I wrote as any kind of official word. Also, from what I remember (again, not clear memories), they never made any progress along those lines. Of course, that could be my slightly misremembering and/or slightly misinterpreting what I heard. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. It was mentioned on the Intellivisionaries a few times that the main reason was that working with Mattel was a nightmare, so Mattel Electronics opted to pursue outside licensing deals instead. This was brought up by a few former Mattel Electronics employees including, I believe, Keith Robinson. I also seem that remember that Auto Racing was actually initially conceived as a Hot Wheels game, but they abandoned the idea when they found how difficult it would be to work with the IP holders, amusingly. 8. I have a white ECS, a system changer and many Intellivoice units. I would love to have manuals (and, dare I dream... boxes?) for the ECS and system changer. Maybe some day. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. Thank you so much for offering these ROMs. This is truly amazing! (Also, I am definitely interested in just about anything you are offering. Work in progress ROMs would be terribly fun.)
  10. Thanks so much, Scalpel! I had so much fun and gained a newfound respect for quite a few games in the Intellivision library. (Also, when you get a chance, could you check your private messages? I sent one a few weeks ago about Super Cobra.) Thanks again for a great season of the high score club! [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

  12. I would love to know how you guys are getting those scores. I was amazed when I managed this one, and it is the second lowest score posted. 8,750 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. Slightly better.... 15,355 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. Here is a little better score for me. It's weird, but this is the first game where I just can't get up the enthusiasm to play. I think it's mostly a silly reason. It's the first game that I don't own, and I don't have any expectation that I will ever own it, given how much Super Cobra sells for. So, I think this childish part of the back of my mind is there saying, "Forget that stupid game! You don't need it!" Ultimately though, I'm thankful for my LTO Flash, as I am really enjoying the high score club. [emoji16] 14,945 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. I'm trying, but damn is this game hard. 10,202 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. They expected that kids would be sitting there with a pencil and paper in front of them working out the problems, entering in the numbers into the Intellivision, digit by digit, as they figured them out. Clearly that's not what most people did. [emoji3] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah, this is a known variant. Mattel changed it after some time because of feedback. They called the reverse entry system "pencil and paper order", or something like that. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. Had a chance to play a little when I got home. 85,350 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Made a little improvement. 68,850 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. First try. 36,100 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. I would really like one of the complete in box Mattel copies, if possible. Thanks! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. Played a little bit today. I think I am kind of getting the hang of it. This is a very tough game, though.... 20,810 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. You will probably all be surprised to learn that for me that game was Tron - Deadly Discs. I never understood what people liked about it until playing it here on the High Score Club. (And it is a game I felt I had given a really fair shake. I didn't play it as a kid, though.) Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  24. I couldn't agree more with this sentiment. I love that it forces me to dig deeply into games that I might otherwise have neglected or avoided. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
