  1. I didn't get an SNES until 2019, but what made me want one so bad was to replay Super Mario World, since I had only ever played the remake on GBA. Then after getting that I got to explore so much more of the library, IMO one of the best software libraries of any console.
  2. Sorry for dipping so hard, but I am no longer ill. Thank God it wasn't Covid, but boy it really kicked my butt hard. I'm only now well enough to return to school.

Zinc is shrinky dick.  Good luck.

Zinc shrinks your winky? That explains why my little buddy is suddenly so small! Well, maybe small isn't the right word. It's growing backwards now and is poking out of my tooter hole. It hurts when I sit. :D

      Glad you're getting better!

  3. Been very sick for 3 days now, might be COVID :(

@MikeDijital777: nice to see that you've learned absolutely nothing since your earlier pee-pee smacking.

I hope ya don't have it!  Either way Godspeed and get better!

    4. ZippyRedPlumber

Do you any of the symptoms?

  4. NES-Style 7800 controller arrived in the mail. Now I can finally stop destroying my hands with the Pro-Line.

I've been using an EdLaddin Seagull 78 for the past few years and love it. I much prefer a Sega Genesis pad over the squared-off corners on an NES-style pad. But nearly anything beats the PainLine!

    3. BydoEmpire

Still prefer a real joystick for the 7800.  Most of the games don't feel right to me w/ a dpad, but at least you won't get carpal tunnel from the PainLines!

Here's a picture of the controller. I'm in love with the stripe.

  5. This game uses so few colors that I think using one of the 320 modes would be pretty doable. If that's something you're interested in
  6. The game I'm designing for the 7800 is isometric, which makes me wonder if we will ever see a Marble Madness for the 7800.

    1. SlidellMan

If Marble Madness does come to the 7800, it has to have track-ball support.

  7. After much deliberation, I am starting the software plan for my first 7800 game. Once I get through the design period I'll be sure to make a thread for updates. Excited to finally be doing this.

Great, I look forward to it. If you need any additional help for graphics, feel free to send a PM.

  8. I've always wanted to see Shinobi on the 7800. I'm not sure why though lol.
  9. I can only imagine having a homebrew game that uses the Minnie sound capabilities. That would be amazing to see!
  10. This looks amazing! As a big fan of the original game, I approve
  11. I'm only now realizing that I started the LadyLady 7800 demo over 2 years ago... doesn't feel like it's been that long at all. I hope that I can finish it this year then.

Yeah! I have a couple screens completed past the title screen. I have a thread where I post updates: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/302017-ladylady-graphics-demo/

    3. Shawn

Oh, I was thinking more along the lines of any actual gameplay perhaps?

    4. R_Leo_1

At the moment, LadyLady would be too complex of a game to jump into making. So for now it'll just be a graphics showcase, and maybe audio. I do plan, however, on making a game after this demo is finished, but the two projects wont be related.

  12. Got 3 Genesis games for 20 bucks today :)

What were the games that you got?

    2. joeatari1

Man, I remember back when West Coast Video was closing in my town.  They had a video games section in the store and trays of Genesis games.  They were like 20 for $3!  Unfortunately for me I didn't have a Genesis at the time so I passed on the offer.🙁

Picked up Spider-Man, Ecco: The Tides of Time, and Tommy Lasorda Baseball.

  13. Friday's after school = Going to local game shop at the mall :)

Those days are gone man :)

  14. Anyone have some advice on buying a 5200? I.e. best place to get one, some things to consider controller-wise etc.

    1. masschamber

"dead" consoles that don't power up usually have a single chip that has gone bad, as a bonus it is off the shelf and as an additional bonus it is typically socketed. and costs like 83 cents.

    2. eightbit

Look heavily for some kind of adapter to use as a replacement for the original controller. You will not have a good time with the console with that original controller....even if it works. The Wico stuff is expensive and overrated. When I received my 5200 the person I purchased it from made and included an adapter that has the dial pad and accepts a normal Genesis controller (with both buttons mapped to it). This console is REALLY enjoyable with a proper controller.

I would suggest a flea market, but the only one that has an Atari vendor is on Menge Ave. north of Gulfport, MS. Don't know about Florida, however.
