  1. welp. @Bill Loguidice youve defeated me. that single image there makes me want to buy 2. XD
  2. ver 1.1 has been released: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-custom-firmware-for-the-super-retrocade.550116/
  3. hmm. well given that they outsource to chinese manufacturers that use whatever they have in hand on a yearly basis, one could hope ram might be a little higher or something (i know its wishful thinking :P) ill try to get one as time permits. btw a kernel at 1.3 would be very promising.
  4. it does. updates will be done periodically as time permits: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-custom-firmware-for-the-super-retrocade.550116/
  5. CFW release. super easy to use. no more weird shenanigans. please see here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-custom-firmware-for-the-super-retrocade.550116/
  6. like i said, if you have one nearby. Sometimes these things take up to 2 months to pop up around here. I wanted to do R&D work on it to see if CFW can be done.
  7. went to Kohls, walmart, fry's, local video game stores, Target, and best buys nearby. not a single unit in sight. I wanted to try my hand at running homebrew at this model, but guess not. lol if anybody finds someone selling them nearby them and its willing to sell me one please PM me.
  8. Thank you! yeah looks like its a linux based box again this year. The more pertinent question now is what processor is this box using, how much ram and what size the nand is.
  9. its actually sold in smaller store chains or retail chains before hitting online markets usually. last year the FB legends and the sega flashback were found at Fry's around this time of the year, and nothing was available online. I would go to fry's to check but given how they are now pretty barren and barely carry anything i doubt they would have it in stock.
  10. if anybody knows which big chains has them i would like to pic one up.. for umm.. research (flashback legends) any way you could share pics for the flashback legends? it using front usb ports, or could you share what the boot screen looks like?
  11. out of curiositiy, how? I remember proding into those ports holes and getting nothing but garbage on my end.
  12. paying to stream something you already own is a non-starter for me. I am sure there is an audience for this but as details have been revealed it seems to not be an appealing buy for me atleast personally. Some people I know play pc fighting games by the tons and would really have no interest in paying 10 dollars every weekend when they get some time just to play it on this device. Not dunking on it. Just probably not for me, or some peeps i know.
  13. I have never wanted to install custom firmware in a device this much in my whole life! Dont lie to me Bill my retro-loving heart cant take this! (this actually looks badass. Hopefully it will hold water)
  14. if there is a next year iteration and you guys are still sticking to the same processor as this years (which is not a bad thing necesarily) upgrade the ram to atleast 512mb and use the same onboard flash size that you guys used on the sega flashback 2017 (4gb) you guys would give the community a huge gift to be able to do custom firmwares and expand on these devices. Also may not be a popular opinion but i would use usb ports for controllers. Hopefully me outright talking about specs doesnt sound rude.
