  1. 6000 was for pure mode only, There are no doubt more in class1c and surv1val mode but of course many are the same players from pure mode BUT not all, And there are the PlayStation players as well, I've never reviewed any games, So is it a flop? Well compared to games like fortnight YES, But compared to Atari's other releases I'd bet it was Atari's best seller of 2018 ! lol It's the best version of Tempest ever made! But that's just a Tempest Nut's opinion who can play the game with an arcade spinner!!! And for the moment I am the best of the best of the "elite" players at Tempest 4000! The players that were #1 when I first started playing a few months ago aren't even close anymore...
  2. I just got a new all time high in Pure putting me in 1st place on the PC leader-board with a score of 13,547,120 points! I'm now 1st in Pure mode, 1st in Class1c mode, and 1st in Surv1val mode! Or you might say a Tempest 4000 hat-trick!
  3. Flopped? There are around 6000 pure PC leaderboard scores so flopped, I don't think so...
  4. Well I'm 1st on the Tempest 4000 leader board in Surv1val and Class1c modes and I'm 3rd in Pure mode on the PC... Oh and my name is Tempest Nut and it fits! lol I beat my high score again in Class1c mode yesterday...
  5. Got A New High Score In Class1c Today ! In The Zone !
  6. Stretching Out The Lead In Class1c to 300,545 points...
  7. Had a great game in Class1c last night and added 100,000 points to my high score... When I started playing T4K not long ago the high score in Class1c was around 8 million points, I wonder where it will top out?
  8. Hummm, I don't know what to tell you? Anyone else here having that problem with the Xbox One?
  9. Mine did that once and what I did was find these two files in this directory and made sure they weren't read-only or the directory wasn't read-only "C:\Users\(your computer)\Documents\Tempest4000_Savedata" and just to be sure I deleted both files and let the game make them from scratch again, Of course, you will have to set up your key mapping again but mine started to work again and has been fine ever since...
  10. Is anyone here still playing Tempest 4000 or am I the last one?
  11. 1st in Class1c and Suv1val mode play on the PC with the high scores to beat being MUCH higher than when I started playing the game not long ago...
  12. Well, to be honest, I just sold all my jag stuff on Ebay because I needed the money and I just dug out all my 2800 carts, 5200 carts, and 7800 carts in which I have MANY and I'm putting those on Ebay as well as the 5200 Robotron controller and a beat up 2 port 5200 in original box with a TON of dust on it !!! Right now I only have eyes for Tempest 4000 2.0 on my PC...
  13. I didn't know if I should start a new thread or just talk about my Robotron 2084 Atari 5200 controller setup I found in my attic, I always loved the way the 5200 version of Robotron played using the dual 5200 controller setup, It really felt like the arcade ! I was so good at the 5200 version and the arcade I could play for hours and hours...
  14. I AM THE FIRST Ultra Atarian in Tempest 4000 !!!
  15. Hey, I found my other Jag Dapter up in the attic if anyone Is still interested, It's a little beat up and needs a bit of TLC but I know it is still fully functional...
  16. Although the two versions are not any dif in that if you use a controller with the "spinner" version it goes as slow as the "controller" version, So it's being able to use a spinner in one vs the other, Not one version over the other... If that makes sense ?
  17. I've noticed something that the "spinner" version of Tempest 4000 has over on the "Game controller" version that I believe gives it an advantage, Claw speed, The spinner version's claw speed is significantly faster than the controller version ! Here is a comparison of the two versions with the claw going around the first level at max speed in both versions... Controller version takes 1.10 seconds to go around once... Spinner version takes 0.67 seconds to go around once... That's just 0.24 seconds from being twice as fast !
  18. Yes, None of the official Atari releases of TK4 have native support for mice or spinners enabled but my hacked version of the program show that it can...
  19. I have a modded Tempest4000.exe file that someone hacked for mouse & USB spinner support AND when using a mouse or USB spinner the fake inertia is disabled, It works with windows 7 and 10. To anyone who wants it just message me and I'll email it to you and I'll make sure it works right on your computer but you'll need an "outlook" or "hotmail" email for me to send it to...
  20. I got to 1st place in Survival mode today ! Survival mode is HARD because the game doesn't give you extra anything !
