  1. To connect the box to my computer I'm using a 25FT High Speed 480Mbps USB 2.0 Active Repeater M/F Extension Cable Adapter Cord...
  2. It looks great ! Much more professional looking than mine ! I'm sorry for your loss, I few years ago my only sister was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer and 6 months later she was gone, and before she pasted my dad had just beat lung cancer but being that that type of cancer is what is known as "small cell" it had migrated to his brain so I moved back home and took care of him for the year and a half that he had before it took him, My dad and I were very close and worked together for a long time, Now I just take care of my mother BUT since my sister and father are gone it's been a struggle to get my mother to care about taking care of herself and she fights me on everything...
  3. I use to have a Lynx but for the life of me, I can't remember what happened to it ???
  4. So no one has made a game controller of their own? How about modded controllers?
  5. It might be a cigar box, I found it in the garage recently and it was the perfect size for what I needed for fitting everything in it I wanted it to have and have a layout I wanted and the same time be able to have it sit comfortably on my lap, It's a complete plug & play set up... Now that I think about it it can't be a cigar box because on the underside of the lid it says "Furniture Co, Portland Oregon" so I think it was just a decorative box of some sort? But I have to say I like the feel of the wood a lot better than plastic or the like!
  6. I know this is an old thread but I just found out about this version of Tempest 2000 not too long ago and thanks to my homemade spinner box which the game natively supports (which every ver of tempest SHOULD!) and with the added "point of view hat" at the right side corner of the box for joystick left/right/up/down control for the bonus rounds this is now by far my favorite game now AND of all time ! This game rocks with the speed and precision of a spinner controller like a SpinTrack !!! This version is better in every way than my previous fav game Tempest 2000 on the jag !!!
  7. Hello, Is this mic on ? Is anyone seeing this ?? No one ???
  8. Here's the inside, I wanted only one USB cable coming out of the box and to the computer so I had to make some custom stuff like 2 stubby USB cables...
  9. I'll start it off with my PC Spinner box, At its heart is a I-PAC 2 USB interface that can have 32-Input buttons and you can directly connect a joystick/trackball/spinner so I opted for a Ultimarc Spintrack USB Spinner with the "heavy flywheel" and I added an I-PAC Xbox 360-PS3-Xinput Adaptor which will make it automatically be seen as an Xbox 360 controller by any PC game that uses Microsoft Xinput and for good measure I gave it a "point of view hat" that I use as a joystick for any games that need you to control up/down/left/right like the bonus rounds in all the modern Tempest games !...
  10. That's my kind of Atari Nut ! lol How is he playing Tempest on a 5200 ? I thought that was just a prototype game for the 5200 ?
  11. Yes the two fire button on the left side is fire on the bottom and super zapper on the top with the jump button on the bottom right side to use Tempest 2000 controls, Also the start and pause buttons work as well. What I did is buy an Opal Rotary Controller and disassembled it and removed the rotary part and the pcb part with the jag connector... Then I disassembled the 5200 and found that the cable could unplug from the Flex Circuit... Then to fig out what wire was what I went online a downloaded schematics of everything... Then with some trial and error and most of the jags controller PCB cut off I connected the cut off wires from the 5200 to the jags controller PCB and stuffed it all in the 5200 controller body. For the rotary part, I just removed all the joystick parts from the 5200 controller and cut down the translucent part of the Opal Rotary to fit where the joystick once was and JB Welded it in place and that's about it. It's basically an Opal Rotary Controller stuffed into an Atari 5200 controller shell, It's even still RGB lit ! BTW nice touch with the Opal Rotary Controllers and the RGB, I don't know what I like more, Playing a game with it or just staring at the RGB light ! lol No matter what I did with that controller I was going to retain that RGB backlight and I did !
  12. Ya it is a bit of a mouth full... :^) Mine is K143009846...
  13. While we're on the subject this is what happens when you combine an Atari Jaguar, an Opal Rotary Controller, and an Atari 5200 controller together... You get the Atari Jaguar Tempest 2000 Opal Rotary 5200 Controller...
  14. I was one of the first group of people who bought the jag so my serial number starts with a "K". I guess that makes sense that it would ?
  15. You can get a whole new CD drive here for $28.50... https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OPTICAL-LASER-LENS-MECHANISM-for-ATARI-Jaguar-CD/361421359608
