  1. Ok thanks I was wondering if anyone had actually even made a color video cable for Apple ///. I can't find Apple /// joysticks anywhere. I guess I'll have to try to make a converter at some point. Without a real Apple /// controller to test against though its hard to know if its right.
  2. So I just got a ULTRASATAN and came with a prepared SD card. However I can't launch any games. On both the 520 and 1040 these steps happen the same: * Turn on ULTRASATAN then turn on computer. * No hard-drive is detected. * While power is on hit reset button * Now hard-drive is detect. * I navigate to a games folder and a list of sub-folders with game names appear. * Now I open a game folder and it says there are zero files. * So I go back a directory and now the games folder says there are no game folders anymore. * Plugging the SD card into Windows shows all the game files do exist Am I missing something?
  3. Is that an Apple III color display that works with color video port? If so what are those called? Also anyone confirm a working Apple II to Apple III joystick converter?
  4. O nice, really good to see a 7800 cart may be available for homebrew etc. Really want to get my hands on one when they become available. Sounds awesome!
  5. I am going to just get a cable from: amibay.com Then I can validate wires. So well see how that goes however long it takes to get one. My Atari ST520 was fully restored. I don't think anything is wrong with it. For now though going to get ULTRASATAN external HD / SD drive. Probably better option anyway.
  6. I have already wired it like that. Thats the same as the images @Ute sent but it doesn't work or I'm missing something. I need to see a physical picture of what pins are what on a working cable for GoTek. Something maybe with gnd pins or cable mirroring is wrong idk. A real picture gives a lot more info about expected arrangements. I'm trying to get one of these cables: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?100832-Gotek-External-ROUND-Floppy-cables-for-ATARI-ST But I would like to make my existing cable work as well and backup this information.
  7. No thats not it. Upside down the green read LED is always on even when the computer isn't (I even tried mirroring the 14pin din cable). I labeled both the adapters as facing forward (as in you looking at the face that plugs into a device port). Do I have something mirrored wrong? If I get this working I'm sharing what the actual wiring is that doesn't leave anything to question. IDK why all the images on the web leave huge amounts to question of what is forward for a cable and direct mappings like my image shows. Really wish someone would map their existing cable with real images. This seems like such a critical cable to have to have a working ST520 that only supports external drives I'm surprised there isn't more on it.
  8. Ok finally got back to Atari ST520. So I can get the computer to see a drive is connected but it can't read the drive & the drive green read LED is always on.
  9. O sorry I totally read your message wrong. My bad. Ya I'll probably look into making a analog converter cable at some point to get Atari controllers working as there are lots of options there.
  10. Umm yes what? Try plating Mario Bros and many other games. Thats like asking do you need a Joystick for Atari 5200... Apple II has many of those games etc
  11. Are there any PCB DB9 converters for Atari to Apple joysticks? Any sold or do I have to make one? Really odd I can't find this as it would seem like a commonly needed thing.
  12. No have no idea. Tested my Apple II+ with Joystick from the 80s and it works fine. Converter just isn't very compatible.
  13. So found out the adapter works fine in Apple IIe but not Apple II+
  14. So I just got one of these: https://console5.com/store/byteboosters-sega-atari-snes-joystick-adapter-to-apple-ii-e-c-c-iigs.html I've tested with two different Atari Joysticks with Mario Bros on Apple II+ and the jump button is always pressed (DPad / Joystick works fine). Using an old Apple II joystick has no issues. Anyone else have this issue or know how to get these converters working with Atari controllers correctly?
  15. I show no pre-order stuff on my store account / order history. Not sure why this is the case. Its been a while but don't think I'm on any other list. Pretty sure I only used the AtariAge store as I did for LynxGD. This is the location people have been saying you can check correct? Because I don't see any pre-order stuff. https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=account
  16. Are the test screens from the Concerto cart? Is new firmware being tested or something? I would love to purchase a Concerto when they're available with a POKEY chip.
  17. The person who started this thread who made NeoGD, LynxGD & JagGD is looking into making something for 7800. Its one of the MultiCarts I really want as well and there is literally nothing for it... odd as the system is pretty good and has lots of ram etc.
  18. Worked first try. I have a FZ-1 Japanese console I use a 100v down-stepper with. Running "Need for Speed (US)" perfectly. Also own the Japanese version of "Need for Speed (aka OverDriven)" so interesting to see the differences.
  19. I'm installing it now. I'll let you know how it goes. This is where you get them: http://3do-renovation.ru/How_to_buy.htm Make sure its for the 3DO you have of course.
  20. CDI has zero ODE's I think. 3DO has one that I just got in the mail and was delayed from COVID for 8 months.
  21. 100nf = 100,000pf (aka 104) = 0.1uf So the cap I got off amazon is correct
  22. Can someone tell me what ceramic cap spec from the image below is. (In the red square). I'm thinking I may have the same issue as this guy: https://www.classic-computers.org.nz/blog/2009-03-29-re-repairing-an-apple-II-plus-clone.htm Where that cap is bad as the voltage around 1v and that guy says it should be 4.2v. Is that cap a "100nF 50v"? If so seems like this pack of caps contains it? https://www.amazon.com/Hilitchi-Monolithic-Multilayer-Capacitors-Assortment/dp/B071P44QBH/
  23. I'm told M0 isn't needed (not sure if its a problem when its on or not). Only S0 is needed. If I can't get a cable from here: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?100832-Gotek-External-ROUND-Floppy-cables-for-ATARI-ST/ I will go through the work of making a new cable.
