  1. In case some of you 1020 Plotter owners have not seen, RetroHax.net posted a very nice blog post on making new pens for the Atari 1020 Plotter

    https://retrohax.net/atari-1020-plotter-plotting-pens-replacement/

Here is more info on how you can make your own.

First you will need to 3D print the Pen cases using the RetroHax.net STL files

He used a Resin Printer, but I printed them on a FDM Ender 3 printer with PLA Filament

I printed them pen tip side up, on a Raft at 100% infill

For pens, i was not able to get the pens RetroHax.net used as I am in the US, the best I could find were these from amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F814H3X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

For cutting the pen inserts I made a 3D printed Jig for cutting them with a razor blade. You can download the STL file for the jig here:

    https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6497069

Clean out the hole in the 3D printed pen case with a 7/64th drill bit

Push the pen insert into the case with a total length of about 23.50mm

The amazon pens are cheap, and are gel ink, but they are not perfect. They require a bit too mush pressure to write all that great. On the flip side, another pen I tried drawed ok, but smeared really, really bad. I am on a lookout for something better, and will post here when I do

If you find a better pen, please post it here.

  2. @Tissemon and all other guys that had issue in RTO autoresetting, i attach a new version of RTOCart ino code that include a workaround proposed by @JaneDoe649 (thanks to her/him) on my github's page.

It should work with both Inty I & II and with original RTOCart board (without any hw mod).

Please feel free to test it and report if it fix your issue!

That 1.1a code fixed the issue for me on my INTY1. Works perfect now without having to hit reset everytime

Only issue I am having so far in I cant get NightStalker to work. Everything else I have tried has been working great

Will mess around with it more in the morning

Thanx for the Great project, it is awesome!

Dragon's Quest or a Twist in the Tail (this title is an Antic Software release and may not exist as an APX release. It was a very late release and is in the last APX catalog but it may not have 'gotten out the door.')

@Fierodoug5 would you be interested in designing a drive bay face plate for a 1450XL? I've been admiring your various 3D printed cases, and have a friend @KLund1 that is trying to fully restore a 1450XL that is missing this piece and needs someone that is good at 3D design to produce the STLs for this. I believe there are others who could use this as well. If you are interested could you please PM @KLund1 ?

EDIT: I know @Mr Robot would be a very good choice for this project as well, but I believe his real job has become very demanding of his time lately.

BTW, would it be ok if I post your STLs for the SIO2MIDI S2 on the MIDI page of my website?

Yeah, Mr robot would be my choice for that. It would be tough to do without the computer in front of me.

I've known about the Hoskinson ones for a while, but have never seen them in the flesh.. Probably because they don't appear to have that turned metal finish like the originals do. They look kind of plain, like the flashback controllers. However I'm still gonna order a couple the next time I place an order there.

They are plain, no turning. And don't match the rest of the system. I was missing one so it was better than nothing but stands out quite a bit.
