  1. Well, I dunno if they would. I can ask, when I send out my other packages, today.
  2. I saw that. I'm excited, but I'm anticipating the crowdfund to fail. I've owned the Armada Unicron, and I would've loved to own this, but the fact that it's mostly a shellformer* kinda ruins it for me. Anyway, good news/bad news time, for me: Good News: I'm getting a refund for my graphics card, after filing a case against the seller. I'll need to return the item and provide a tracking number for it, but that's okay. Bad News: I lost a good $30 on a sale that got damaged, and I can't request insurance on it, because a second sale I had for the same company was shipped in the same envelope with it, and was fine, so... * Shellformer: a Transformer whose transformation is mostly folding it up into a ball, and covering it with a shell for the alt mode.
  3. No, it isn't; the horror stories I've heard about it is why I refuse to trust cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, and why I haven't watched the Wreck-it Ralph sequel, yet (since it has a scene where they go into the dark web).
  4. I'm choosing B, because A is just horrible, C is just... no, I've heard too many horror stories about the Darkweb to even want to touch that; at least with B, there's a chance the cat can still be alive, and it doesn't scar to physically or psychologically once the mystery is revealed. Anyway, anyone want a slightly-used, mostly-working old gaming video card that can still run Doom 2016 at minimum settings? Turns out our rig is too primitive for it, and the seller won't return it, because he shipped it at a loss.
  5. *sighs* This PC upgrading thing is getting rough; the video card I got online is just a tad too long for the space in the case, so we're going to have to dremmel a space out for it to fit, or get a bigger case...
  6. My only Ebay dealing with TI stuff was that vintage Atari controller adapter that I found, and I had no problems with it, so I guess I was lucky...
  7. Fortunately, no. It's a used video card from a seller in Texas using FedEx.
  8. I'm getting a graphics card on Ebay. I'm hoping I don't have the horror story you guys are giving...
  9. Not TI-related, but the only time I've reneged on an Ebay deal was when I sold a few comics, because the price for shipping them would've been more than what the buyer paid for them. Got raged out for it, and I regretted it since (one of the comics was an original X-Men comic that I sold when Marvel was killing off interest in them due to their movie rights war with Fox, so I should've held it for longer, when the comics were picking up again), but I try to make decent deals on anything I sell, and that includes not overcharging for postage.
  10. Decided to sell them on here; called the place and they said they weren't taking them, right now. Also am selling a few other things, on here. Link is here:
  11. Hello. I have the following games for sale for the TI-99/4A: Donkey Kong (cartridge only, has a rattling inside that we can't figure out how to fix, but the cartridge works fine) Pole Position (boxed w/manual) Centipede (boxed w/manual) Jungle Hunt (boxed w/manual) Defender (boxed w/manual) I can sell the DK game for around $8, the rest can go for $20 each. Also have the following, that I'm willing to sell (prices will follow each item): Merlin: The 10th Quest (in box, $25) Spyro 3 PS1 game Greatest Hits (sticker on cd, $15) If interested, give me a message with your zip code, so I can calculate shipping. I can only ship to continental US buyers. Thanks. EDIT: All TI games are sold. Spyro 3 and Merlin: The 10th Quest are still available.
  12. IIRC, my boyfriend and I went there to see if they could fix his old TI, before we started accepting help on here for parts. I only found out about it because I saw they had an Atari 800 in their display case, and asked them if they dealt with older home computers.
  13. Eh, I'm leery about Craigslist, honestly; last time I tried selling something on there, I got hit with a $2000 money order scam. It was a while ago, but I had to be bailed out by my boyfriend's parents, and it really soured my experience with the site. I'll be in town, tomorrow, so I'll try the one retro store I mentioned that had the Atari 8-bit computers for sale and see if they'll buy the games up. If not, I'll take pics and post them on the Buy/Sell board here. Thanks.
  14. One of the ones in here has an owner whose dad owned a TI-99/4A, and they do have older home computers like the Atari 8-bit line, so they may take it.
  15. I hate to do this, since the cartridges in question were given to us for free, but we kinda need the money, after an expensive car repair last month, and the games we already got on a compilation cartridge that we got in a trade from ArcadeShopper. Does anyone know how we could sell off some TI games we don't need, right now? The games in question are: Donkey Kong (cartridge only, has a rattling inside that we can't figure out how to fix, but the cartridge works fine) Pole Position (boxed w/manual) Centipede (boxed w/manual) Jungle Hunt (boxed w/manual) Defender (boxed w/manual) I know we could wait for the TI fest in Chicago, this November, but with our car breaking down a lot, this year, we're worried about getting it up there. We do have a few used game places that could take them, theoretically, but we dunno if they would. Can anyone help us with this? Thanks.
  16. I need to get a blank tape to record the file of Peter Cottontail's Egg Hunt we have, instead of using the tablet for running it.
  17. We'd still have to drive about an hour up to South Bend, which is the closest stop for Megabus. At that point, we might as well take the car the whole trip. We'll think on it.
  18. Don't think my boyfriend and I will be able to go; we've been hit with car repair after car repair, last month, and we're still leery about taking it out on long trips. That, plus increased rent, means we can't really save up for a whole lot of stuff in advance, so sorry to those who wanted us to come up, this year. Maybe next year.
  19. I'm rather keen on Hunt the Wumpus and Peter Cottontail's Egg Hunt, myself. Never got to try Tursi's Dragon's Lair pack, so I wouldn't know about it. Curious about Pitfall on the TI, though. Speaking of Donkey Kong, I'm trying to convince my boyfriend that it has all of the levels from the arcade, just spread out, instead of one after the other like in the arcade; he thinks that the game was only able to fit in two levels.
  20. Ah, so it is just as useful as a wooden gun against the Master of Magnet... if the latter was portrayed competently like he was by Ian McKellen.
  21. So, on the off-chance we get attacked by the Master of Magnet himself, we're able to hold him off and defeat him with a wooden gun given to us by this company?
  22. Yeah, they probably didn't want to piss off the Catholics or Christians by saying their God is actually an alien theocratical tyrant or something. Though now I'm reminded of that indie fighting game Fight of Gods, and wonder why they allowed Moses and Jesus as fighters, and there's calls for it to have Mohammad and the like, but Xenu isn't the final boss or something, or we don't have ancient gods like Cthulhu as a fighter.
  23. I believe I know this, it's been a while since I've seen SG1, but it was always fascinating to me how similar Origin was to monotheistic religions (especially with its teachings and hypocrisy of man contrasting those teachings), and figured we'd eventually find out that like Moses was an Origin practitioner that got pulled to Earth during the Goa'uld's reign in Egypt, and started the rebellion that went down in history as the Book of Exodus, or something along those lines. Would've made for a nice tie-in for everything.
  24. I always thought the Ori were a take that to monotheistic religion, and we'd eventually find out that the Prophets of old were Orici who got displaced, to tie into their thing of "most Earth religious mythology was inspired by aliens" thing...
