  1. So would a lot of (hardware) developers I guess. Derek Fern copied a lot of there stuff and sold it as his own. sincerely Mathy Interesting, I wasn't aware of that... I don't even remember anything hardware related he sold, I mostly remember the software side (he brought a lot of the Euro games into the UK - Legally I thought, at least he seemed to be working with Kemal from Ke-Soft)
  2. I have about a 1000 photos of my atari collection I want to post, besides my facebook acount can anyone suggest a good photo sahring site?
  3. Acetone or acetate - I forget which. Anyway, it's nail polish remover. Gently dissolves the plastic when applied with a cotton bud then dries immediately, giving a smooth, glossy finish to the cut and sanded edges. So that's how you get the smooth edges
  4. Drawn in marker, dremelled out, then flat filed, sanded, then sealed with acetone. Plus huge amounts of skill. Yeah the skill part is what I'm missing... I did all that and mine looks like crap LOL (well apart from the acetone - how does that work)
  5. I've got some floppies in the basement that might have the Reevekey stuff on them, I'll take a look later tonight.
  6. I can't believe he sold everything... the amount of time and energy he devoted to Page 6 was amazing... Not sure I could completely give something like that up. Still interested in knowing where Derek Fern disapeared to..
  7. How do you get the LCD hole so neat and tidy?
  8. It's possible IKEA no longer carries those. They always seem to discontinue the stuff I need LOL... here are a couple close options, although I would want to know the actual drawer dimensions first http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40146760 http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30104322
  9. I'm just bummed that the NTSC version only allows for one joystick. But I'll mod it at some point.
  10. I went through almost a 1000 photos last night (Yeah I'm anal, I took photos of almost everything I have ) However I realized I didn't have a photo of the exterior of that case... I'll snap a picture tonight.
  11. That, as well as this http://www.hebrides-photos.co.uk/
  12. I'll grab a shot of the front tonight, it's an official atari product... Not sure it has a catalog number on it though... I just finished up inventory and took photos of almost everything I have. As for search, I didn't they came in lots with other stuff, jsut ahve to get lucky, these are my first two in fifteen years.
  13. I have more XL's to put memory upgrades in if only I had one to buy...
  14. All five of my 1010's work (and two of them are beat to crap!)... I did need to replace belts in one but other than that they work great.
  15. I dunno, BBSB always seemed like a better game to me, rather than just new screens.
  16. Funny how that happens... I once took apart all my 800XL's to check which had sockets and which didn't... In my infinite wisdom I decided to not plug the keyboards back in... jump forward 5 years and I pull them out of storage and freak out when I think none of the 5 machines have working keyboards.
  17. My Mum completed Goonies way back when!
  18. I'll have to send my list now that the great inventory of 2010 is completed
  19. I was looking for the XE/XL size cart case for years, and here in the last month I've found two (one on ebay, and one from ebay via another AA user)... Unfortunately I am not home so I don't have the outside of the case, but here is the interior, holds 6 carts and has a space for the manuals... The exterior is XE grey and has a red atari logo on the bottom right.
  20. Baja Buggies 1: 35 Baja Buggies 2: 49 Lost Tomb: 9580 Tut: 47820 Pharaoh: 1420 Attack : 480 That's about the best I can do
  21. I met Les two or three times at shows, as well as made regular orders from their catalog. I'm only missing the first 15 issues and the last 10... Wish I could pick them up for a reasonable price. Would also love to track down Derek Fern of Micro Discount, see what he is up too!
  22. Candle as far as I know does not have a set price in mind, but is looking to make it comparable or less than the SDrive NUXX... And yes there is room for a 2.5 laptop drive in the case.
  23. Awesome, the only picture I had was B&W and I was curious as to the color. Seeing as there is no specific system printed on it I'll go ahead and assume they are all blue. Now all I have to do is find one to buy LOL...
