  1. Hello Bill. The Genesis emulation and also SegaCD is very good but deserves to have 32X too. As suggestion I like to improve this way: - game genie / acion replay support via menus or txt files - option to enable or disable ingame overlay menus like rewind and coins - option to enable or disable 7mhz - 10mhz overclock in sega genesis - option to completely disable and permanently delete the annoying colored border screens and music - option to save settings in menus to a cfg file and avoid to reconfigure stuff after each boot (example: overdrive) - option to enable or completely disable menu animations and beeps - option to configure the console to boot directly to a single game, its nice to showrooms, expositions or party and to avoid person to change the console settings - option to boot the console with just ONE emulator loaded, freeing memory and cores to speed things up to each emulator (y)
  2. Already did it but the settings still change each power off. By the way I have two 16Gb SD cards: one with arcade-nes-gg-sms-genesis and other with segacd only.
  3. Is there any .INI file that we can update with the console to fix the settings? All the way I shut it down and power up again all settings are gone, like overdrive and music. Just the black screen remains, all the other stuff change back to default. May a complete *.INI file personalize and fix this settings or no? Is there a workaround? Thanks
  4. I noted a irritating sound delay in all games all systems in this console during my tests. If any of the options "scanlines" or the "overdrive" is disabled all games just have a annoying 1s sound delay, even the lightest ones like Mega Drive or Master System. Is just a system bug I believe since the delay is present in all games from all systems. Is there anything we can do, like getting the system lighter deleting cores unused (FBA and Mame2003 for example), tweaking the system or just lets wait for a firmware update from ATGames? Regards,
  5. Just pop them in a SDcard, all must be .BIN (binary extension) and all names with no spaces, longnames or special chars, just AZ09... and play! If you want to run SegaCD games too remember to get the BIN disc file (at least first file must be binary) and copy the BIOS files as well. Example: Sega CD Jurassic Park Full Disc.bin --> rename it to cdjurassicark.bin or something like it and you´re good to go. My best hint is to download all files from internet ready as binaries, its easy to find. Then just rename to anything you like and run. A hint: ARCADE game files must remain with original filenames as came in MAME2000 Romset, just remember to keep the binary files compacted it to .ZIP to run in Mame2003 (original from console) or ZIP but renamed to .ZIM to run in Mame2000 (hack from rmr_md) or compacted in .7Z to run in FBA. Good game!
  6. I´m done some tests here and are very curious. Got some arcade game, let´s say Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles (turtles in time). If the file is .ZIP --> mame 2003 runs, if .7Z --> FBA, if .ZIM --> mame 2000, correct? I cant see visible differences running any of these cores. Cheers,
  7. Thanks again Atariboy. I cant explain myself too much above, but since we have a possible 2.7 update and there are good developers like rmr_md working in these cheap hardware, why not think in open possibilities? The actual firmware cores run greatly MAME, NeoGeo, Genesis, SegaCD, Master and GG. Maybe can we think in another firmware with cores to run 3DO, PCEngine, Atari2600 and beyond this? Just imagining the possibilities and the odds. I started to think out the box when I see people running Doom in a refrigerator or swatch!
  8. Thanks for info Atariboy. The questions could appear to be obvious but are not, please remember there is a lot of new users checking this post and all this job is a journey along a unlocked cheap console that can incredibly run a lot of stuff than pretty expensive similar ones! By the way Drivesoft can be set in different options, whats the best for Legends? Please share your knowledge! "Long Name", "Logical Long Name", "File Size", "Creation Date", "Access Date" or even "Update Date". Link to program: http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort/ Regards,
  9. How about Atari 2600 games to run in this setup? Or something cool like Jaguar or 3DO emulator... In my opinion the weakest point of the Legends console is the gamelist: that icons are lame, with no option to sort by name or extension, nothing useful and with close 300 pages like we did really is a hard task to find that game we want. Any possible solution for this? Alphabetical sort is top priority, maybe letting use subdirectories like ARCADE for arcade games, MEGA for MD, etc... or a small game list instead color icons...
  10. rmr_md, I dunno if you know the source code for the Flashback Legends is back online: https://www.atgames.us/pages/credits They announced a 2.7 update also, but I dont believe neither did it. Another question, to run arcade games in FBA we need to uncompress the zip files from romset and recompress it in 7zip format, running the games in Legends with names like "gamename.7z"? Thanks in advance!
  11. There was a official site, now offline: https://www.atgames.us/products/arcade-classic-flashback-boom
  12. Maybe a prototype that received a upgrade before start sell? http://www.newteksupply.com/ARCADE-CLASSIC-FLASHBACK-BOOM_p_26309.html https://alienexpanse.com/index.php?threads/arcade-legends-flashback.3076/ Mine is branded ARCADE LEGENDS FLASHBACK in the top of console, another one I saw from my friend is branded just "LEGENDS FLASHBACK" and screenshots over internet show sometimes "AT GAMES LEGENDS FLASHBACK". Chinese service just rebranding the same stuff?
  13. I can only recommend the Arcade Legends Flashback or the Legends Flashback (version without MK1), good bangs for bucks. By the way rmr_md I am still curious in diference between those machines, I believe in core changes or hardware. I popped up my unity and saw a Monkey branded chip inside it, controller boards and HDMI out, with SD slot. Amazing how technologicaly poor and how efficient this machine can be for the money. (y)
  14. It´s a nice idea to update it for a version with 32X and 32XCD support, if its possible... think how amazing!
  15. Nice job Doomeyes, I still dont believe the SegaCD is running perfectly as the original one besides the sound deserves some kind of work. I believe 32X and CD32X games can run in this thing but I had try all 32x´s BIOSes names and still not running. Any suggestions or it cant be done in the emulators core? Regards,
  16. I downloaded a full set of 56gb containing all segacd, each game is one or more .bin files and a .cue to organize the audio. Then renamed for example Sonic CD files to soniccd1.bin, soniccd2.bin etc and edited the .cue file to point to this new names. The cue file I named CD-Sonic.cue and this is the file I open in Legends to run the game perfectly. All names with no chars or spaces, just a-z, 1-9 and -, nothing more. Remember to download the SegaCD bios, rename all to correct region bios e, bios a and bios j and put everything together in the same GAME folder. GG
  17. Thanks for all info and effort, rmr_md. I discovered that we can use CUE files do open SegaCD games, so I named all CUE games to "CD-nameofthegame.cue" and all bin files do nameofgamecd.bin, so it´s easy to make cues to point direclty to all the gamefiles. The sort method for files is a total lame, it´s not alphabetical and all games are messed up and this is a real flaw considering there is 290 pages of games with too small number each page. All these observations are just to a future update, if it will be possible!
  18. Quick question: that "retroplayer.ini" file cannot receive more useful settings to our console? Like sound config (other than mame2003 22050hz)? For example: I like to let enabled scanlines and overdrive options but every reboot it disables again. I believe MD and SegaCD for example can have better sound samples (44100) and maybe some older arcade games or NeoGeo... rmr_md I saw your work with Genesis Flashback even with the program to add images and description to Genesis games, nice stuff. Is there a way to something like this over this cheap console? Just thinking in more customizable stuff! Ty again
  19. Thanks rmr_md, I´ll try both things: edit cfg files and mkla4. SMS GG and even MD have really bad emulation, I agree. Maybe is the sound chip in Legends or anything in emulators that can or cannot be updated. Remeber for example the real SMS have a unnoficial FM addon and Genesis a Yamaha Sound Chip upgrade that transforms sound in both drastically! Regards,
  20. Confirmed: the limit for this console is 16Gb, I tried a 32Gb SD card and it cannot read it. So I build two 16Gb cards: - one with mame2000 romset + MD/Genesis + GameGear + SMasterSystem + NES + some SegaCD and left 500Mb free to system. - one with SegaCD only best titles lefting 500Mb to system. MK1 works but the screen is on angle like Inky told, is there any fix? MK1 and late games are awesome! Last question: is there a way to change MAME2000 or other emulators settings in this firmware? Maybe modifying to first check SDcard for a CFG file and then ignore it to default if there is nothing there... so we can explore and modify it to speed up or ignore things!
  21. Hello again! I´m updating a 16Gb SDcard with all games possible to run in your firmware, I can ZIP a image from it and share a link to all you guys who want a copy. I also found a interesting information, there is TWO versions of AT Games Legends, one is named ARCADE LEGENDS FLASHBACK (50 games like Mortal Kombat 1) and another AT GAMES LEGENDS FLASHBACK (50 games and no MK1). Is there is two different emulators/cores/nands or the difference could be just the gameset? Finally I ordered a pair of 6-buttons Genesis controls with turbo, slow motion and mode button: this toy deserves a good update to be played! See ya (y)
  22. Thank you very much! I´m testing and to run MAME properly the names of files should be EXACT as downloaded from set. To run MegaDrive/Genesis I added a "MD-" prefix to all files, making it easy to find. To SEGA CD I added a "CD-" before all BIN files and found that Legends console can run all the CD games opening only the CUE file. I edited all the the CUEs to the right files, as I renamed it. Testing NES and Atari... As ATGames AFZ website is bugged would any you who downloaded the last firmware please upload it and share a link? I believe it is good to have as a backup to any situation. By the way AMAZING job again rmr_md!
  23. By the way I read all the pages of both forums, sorry for noob questions. To run Sega stuff we can use THIS thread firmware. To run MAME stuff we can use THE GBA´s firmware. Am I correct? So we need to perform a update to every "change" of system we need or is there a single firmware to run all mame plus sega games in one single version? Thanks again!
  24. Hello from Portugal. I just bougth and received this amazing cheap Legends and want to thank you all for the efforts and work. My Legends is now working with your 2.6 mod firmw and doing tests with roms and BIOS. I really dont got how´s the difference in this topic´s firmware and the gbatemp´s firmware, specially not what is the complete set to let working at the same time the Neo Geo, MAME, Sega Genesis and Sega CD that is why I bought it. Maybe SMS and GG too! Thank you all and keep rolling these updates
