  1. I should not have packed all my video games... It's depressing when your second best game system is a VIC-20... I should have at least left out my N64 or whatever.

Counterpoint. It all goes back to the childhood dream of having an all-in-one console. Emulation makes that happen. But I see and respect your reasoning. There really is no right or wrong - whatever floats the boat.

Keatah, did you dream about the Ultravision? ?

I did! I so wanted that. And it upset to no end that it was vaporware. Next best thing was the TRS-80 Model III. It had the "space console" look. And I imagined carefully mounting the circuits from a VCS, INTV, CV, and other stuff in it. Alas that never happened.

But I rolled my own in a wood/cardboard box. I was too young to use good practices & workmanship. Wires were tied and taped. The damn thing kept breaking every hour on the hour. It overheated and started smelling.

But today it could very easily happen by gutting one from ebay and stuffing it with a NUC, R-Pi, and MiSTer. With room to spare.

"Modernizing" a Model II is also very appealing - just to play Lunar Lander on it.
