I tried it all out once more.. First I played Ninja Golf for A while, all went well until the game crashed. Then I played the build-in Asteroids, no problem...until..an irritating constant beeep appeared and the game also crashed. From then on when I turned out the 7800 and inserted another cartridge and upon turning it back on it was also scrambled. But when playing 2600 games all went fine. I think some part in the machine which is only used for 7800 games could be damaged. Attached some screenshots of the crashes for your entertainment:

Bedankt (thanks), It's to bad the cart you mentioned costs $200,- hm, think it's cheaper to look for a new power supply or a whole new 7800

Yes, we use PAL overhere. On the back of the system it says PAL-B but unfortunatly there is no info on the cartridges (or box). It also seems that the built in game also crashes after a while. But 2600 games seem to work fine, so there must be a clue in that but i'm not that technical.

Hello all, I'm new here and have a burning question. But first I'll briefly introduce myself.. - from the Netherlands - programmer, designer - owner of following Atari objects: 2x Atari 2600 JR 1x Atari VCS - CX2600A (wooden model, the best!) 1x Atari 7800 2x 7800 games (Karate & Ninja Golf) and ca.50, 2600 games + dozens of joysticks (paddles with Circus Atari rocks!) 1x original Atari Corporation Stock (150 Shares) Now the question.. Sometime ago I bought an Atari 7800 but it seems that it will only play 2600 games correctly. When I insert a 7800 game (Ninja Golf or any other) after a short while the screen will be all scrambled and the Atari crashes. But the built-in Asteroids works fine. Anyone know of a solution? Does the 7800 have two different processors, 1 for 2600 games and 1 for 7800? Greets, attendo
