  1. ... and after upgrading, looks like laptop's keyboard does not have issues and this is now going to be my connected keyboard problem. Thanks for all the hints !
  2. This came from the pre-packaged .deb and I took that version from https://github.com/atari800/atari800/releases. Anyway, it was an old version which was causing a headache so I upgraded to 4.2.0 thinking that this is the newest one. Looks like I overlooked a new version. Going to give it a try today.
  3. This is linux which I'm running it on. ~ % atari800 --version Atari 800 Emulator, Version 4.2.0 ~ % I tried several versions of it but still the same problem. Not sure I described it the way it really is. Imagine that your keyboard on 800xl is broken, keys are not working properly - plastic underneath is broken so you need to press harder to get contacts connected. This is exactly how it feels. Keyboard is connected via dock station, tried connecting it directly to the laptop, no change. Tried the laptop and native keyboard - same issue. This is why I asked for configuration. Some leads are here.
  4. I'm using ErgodoxEZ keyboard connected via usb and every time when I try typing something in the emulator (basic), my characters are getting lost in terms of that I need to press key multiple times to get a character on the screen. Is this a known issue or it's just my emulator config which is not tuned well enough to handle usb keyboards ? I'd appreciate if someone would post config here which is actually working to emulate 800xl. thanks !
  5. Wow ! Really impressive work ? Thank you !
  6. Yeah, that's a fair answer :-). It was a really generic question and I should have been much more specific. Will update my post now ...
  7. Hello, One of my atari 800xl came with this problem ... once I turn it on, I see that screen is initialized - LCD gets a "kick" but screen is black. What would you guys pin-point here as a problematic portion of the machine ? When it comes to electronics, I can change a light bulb, that's all I can do :-). Can somebody help identify what the problem could be and how much would it cost to get it fixed please ? Maybe come up with a solution even ? As noted below, this problem can be anything .. so if there is a volunteer in Richmond, VA area to help it would be great.
  8. Oh man ... I must be really blind or getting old pretty quickly. Thanks ! I found that darn icon now ... anyway, the other option is to hover over the forum link which will provide url in this format: https://atariage.com/forums/forum/12-atari-8-bit-computers/ then simply by modifying provided URL: https://atariage.com/forums/forum/12-atari-8-bit-computers.xml/ will get person what's needed. Thank you all for your responses !
  9. I must be blind ... see attached screenshot. Are you referring to regular desktop browser ?
  10. Would you mind sharing where did you get this link from ? Thanks !
  11. Ok, tapatalk installed but I do not think that this app uses RSS feed. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. I was digging into history of this portal and I saw few people requesting and providing links for RSS feed. Unfortunately none of those links worked for me. Is there any special place here where I can get RSS feed link for this particular forum ? Or is this functionality completely blocked/not enabled ? Thanks !
