  1. Atari has been on a roll in 2023. Anniversary Celebration, 2600+ & GameStation Pro. How are they going to top that in 2024?!

I don't know if they can, but if they can continue to support the hardware that they currently have, I would be happy with that.

The Telegames ones were purchased from their website. I had some help getting the final dozen or so but the rest were found in person including a sealed Desert Strike.

To finish what I was saying above I struggle with the forum format due to having pockets of communities stretched across three forums. One forum pretty much died, and the other is one I travel to less for no particular reason other than not being diverse enough. The third one is AtariAge which I will continue to check in with. YT and FB appeal to more my visual style. I feel I can say so much more with video. Thanks GoldLeader for your input!

AtariAge will always be part of my rounds. I have several friends here, and for many classic consoles and computers there is great discussion. However here are literally millions of other gamers around the world whom use FB and YouTube as their primary places to talk about games. I have had great discussions with gamers around the world and have seen some wonderful collections. All formats have their strengths and weaknesses. I have always struggled with the forum format because of ha...

Are you wanting to have a discussion about it or just want me to agree with you? Not sounding like you want to have a meaningful conversation so I will end it.

Look, I have been around the scene a long time. I have organized game shows for nearly 13 years and have dealt with difficult people online and in person. I just feel that some people here are getting their feathers ruffled over silly nonsense. Underneath the backlash is the fear of other media outlets taking over.

Flojomojo I do post to my videos alot because I am passionate to share information. With my videos I pass my collecting information to others and share my love for Atari. Some people like to type, others like to talk. I like to do both. As a teacher and professor for many years, I just like to share information and don't get all bothered as to how I do it. Forums are great but they are not how the majority of collectors seek out information these days. AA can be a minefield at times...

Atariage has never been the most friendly place for Nintendo discussions. There are pockets of positivity, but for the most part Nintendo discussions are best offered elsewhere. There is alot of history as to why.

Wow, where is all this coming from? I give back to the community constantly, have over 2000 posts here and I get blasted for recommending a subgroup collectors discussion about video games? ColecoGamer I have been around here alot longer than you ;) Also, there are alot of other Nintendo systems than the Nintendo Switch. Some real old school rigid thinking going on here. My collection is just very diverse as my discussions and coverage. I dont fit into one mold. I am well aware of ho...

save2600 there are a ton of things that Atariage is not the best for, mostly pointing to Nintendo related topics. Atariage is great for older games and computers, but not for other things. Why cant there be both? I love talking about a wide range of things, with some things better served elsewhere.

what is the problem with having a collecting group to discuss video games? Instead of joining one I wanted to have a dedicated group to show collections and to talk games.

The original does not output in 720p and this is the cheapest option to do that. That makes it a budget option.

  23. I was shocked and appalled as a kid when Super Mario Bros stopped getting more difficult after the third iteration of the levels. People forget that Atari games treated gameplay like a sport or a board game. You don't "finish" a game: you master it.

Nintendo brought in a new way to play games. It also catered to a different crowd. I love both for different reasons. I would have not wanted to see what we would be playing if it was not for Nintendo.

Yep, have known about this for awhile. Supposedly you have to send them your game(rom) to add to a compatibility list.
