I know that I successfully used steam in PC mode using Debian 11. This does not fix your issue with how you are using windows but there is an alternative.

I have not watched the video yet, but since you used a VCS 800, I hope you covered both versions of Missile Command.

I got some requests for this one, so here is the ranking of all the Atari Recharged games

Recently I did a ranking of all the Atari Recharged games. I captured footage from all these on the VCS so I will post it here. What is your favorite?

I am trying to capture some footage for an upcoming video and trying to play a few different games on Apple II and TI 99/4A. Are there options to play those through the VCS in PC mode using Debian 11 stick?

Someone asked David this question on one of his Twitch streams last week if i recall correctly and he said its still actively being worked on at the moment but he hadn't checked back in to see how it was progressing for a few months. Hopefully it shows up next year, its something that will add more value to the Atari VCS 800 experience.
Thanks for responding to my post. This would absolutely be a great addition to the VCS.

Owned an Xbox Series X now for three years. It gets moderate usage from my daughter and I and I use it for my main media player as well. I have had zero issues with it. Paired up with Game Pass, a great gaming device that now is on sale for a reasonable price.

Any update on the Polymega remix? Still coming out?

I support most all classic Atari systems, but prefer the 8 bit setup for the reasons mentioned. Every now and then I setup my 5200 to experience true trackball gaming though.

My package safely arrived from far away and going to wait until Christmas Day to open it.

Went back again to play the unlockable arcade games. Confirmed with a friend of mine that they are indeed the arcade roms through a bad filter. He was able to recreate a cool secret warp in Crystal Castles. Yars Revenge for the 2600 is playable too.

I checked this out again this morning. @swlovinist is right; these do not appear to be emulated. They're the same games, but they appear to have been re-coded for this.
Can anyone shed some light on why they would do that? That seems like an enormous time sink for no discernible purpose. Maybe they're a little easier than the originals with the lowest difficulty settings? Maybe to make them more playable for kids or something?
It's really weird. Why do this?
It is a strange move. For this, I might have to unlock them just to experience how well they play. Just unlocked a few and found Crystal Castles to be fairly frustrating to control. Food Fight plays okay but eating the ice cream to clear a stage I found that you have be pixel accurate.

While my games DO work, I just noticed that a batch of Game Panic 3 that use the Pixels past PCBs are not working yet.

Went back and played a few hours of Food Fight today. Not terrible, but needs some room of improvement for sure. I think the Cone platform levels are too difficult for them to be enjoyable. I like the hidden art pieces, but want more of them to unlock. The actual game I think could be fun, and unlocking coins from it for arcade games was pretty easy. The games you unlock are not 1/1 arcade roms but their own thing. There are no graphic settings playing these either. I want to know how to unlock some of the other areas of the game. I would compare this game to Atari Mania, which many people did not like. Atari tried something different and it might not be what they wanted. I still like this game, but do understand why people would want something different.

That is a pretty salty take on the game if you ask me. You dont like it and you have that right to your opinion. Comparing this to Bubsy is extreme IMO.
