  1. Having a JagCD is awesome Having a JagCD spinning the CD is incredible !! Having a JagCD spinning the CD and running a game is a dream !!
  2. Hello and welcome, All the doc you need can be found here : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showtopic=836 and if you need technical infos (hardware and software) about the Jaguar, come on on Jagware ( http://www.jagware.org/index.php?act=idx ) Jagware is surely the most avdanced board for Jaguar coding ( you will find some great people like Orion,Reboot and some others great like SebRmv(Who ported Another World on Jaguar), Mathias Domin etc... and some of us are Falcon coders too.

    I2c

SCPCD or Zerosquare in the place ?
  4. SCPCD is another hardware man on Jagware (He know the Jag more than theirs creators ) and you must know one thing he plays Zero 5 without seeing the screen !! Yes he can talk about bus access on the Jag and playing Zero 5 in same time and see you in your eyes !! First time he made me this 'tour de force (Kiss to GGN, yes another french expression (After 'bordel !') i was surprised !! You need to see that, he hit the Jag fire button like an autofire !!! SCPCD is an autofire man !!
  5. Why "evil" self modifying code ? I have yet used self modifying code, even generated one and it's not 'evil code', just a great tool in a coder boxtools
  6. I've contacted SCPCD for technical infos. He know the Jaguar like me know about candies !!!
  7. For all infos about speed, SCPCD is surely the people who know that. Thinking to make a module for JagCD isn't a good idea i think. Because JagCD aren't very cheap and reliable. In some years a running JagCD will be awesome !! The Jaguar is a rock, and i think in 10 years lot of them will be always running, loosing time for an extra module to take dust on a desk isn't a good idea because JagCD will be only for telling : i've got it !! It's a personnal opinion
  8. So why coding on RISC, if you don't need speed ? You can do everything on the 68000, which is faster than RISC in main.
  9. Yew, colision.s who is a enhanced version of an idea of Patrice Mandin (Who has used blitter for collision test on Ste). With Seb we have ported it to the Jaguar and after Seb has done a new faster version.
  10. Atari the bug without the price !!! Rules !!!
  11. I'm in Atari world from a long time, i know 2 things : On Atari everything is feasible, and the second thing is 'juste code it by yourself' GT
  12. You're wrong. I'm not in love with the C langage, i can't help but i will contact SebRmv who has wrote all that and will give you all infos and tricks.
  13. If you want documentation about developement on Jaguar, go on Jagware, Zerosquare has putted all interressting docs here : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showtopic=836 GT
  14. Orion if you need a library for reading files from a CD, a friend coded a nice library, you can find it here : http://onorisoft.free.fr/retro.htm?jag/jag.htm GT
  15. here : http://www.mdgames.de/jag_eng.htm do a search with : Connecting a digital mouse to the Atari Jaguar GT
  16. Hi Mr Bubsy Do you need a keyboard to play Bubsy ? a new challenge for you ?
  17. First of all, some of last homebrews can be get here : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showforum=55 Some great games from our friends Reboot : http://reboot.atari.org/new-reboot/projects.html Some games From Matthias here : http://www.mdgames.de/jag_eng.htm Hope that will help you.
  18. Yes, 1.6 Mb for program is a big space, but for True Colour graphics it's a little space Hope you manage your goal, i just wanted to warn you, like Zerosquare do. Usb is a nice thing for user, but for coder who wants to write a driver it's a pain in the ass. Regards
  19. You surely can, but writing the driver will give make you loose a lot of time for writing it, recompiling a C driver will give you something like a 400 kbytes driver O_o. Using a mouse on a Jag is easy, for a keyboard i think the better choice is to ask some Jaguars hardware specialist to make a little adaptater. Zerosquare's has yet plugged a sony DDR dance pad on the Jag. Even if you manage to do it, only skunkboard users can use mouse and keyboard, all others Jaguars users not ! Why using a keyboard on the Jag ? Coding directly on it ? You need to write an editor, will eat a lot of memory. Jagpad got a lot of unused buttons, just use it
  20. Stop WAR !!! Start PLAYING !!!! YEEEAAHHHH !!
  21. Some months ago, i asked Zerosquare about USB driver, because i wanted to write a full asm USB mass storage driver for my Falcon CT60. When you have read something like 600 pages of protocol and learn nothing about how to exchange infos, only one thing, you eat a pill and gotto bed and forget this idea....... for a long time very long time.... I love 68000 asm, i've write all my code on my Falcon, all code in pure ASM but be sure, i've got headaches in coding the unpacking PNG rout, but comparing to the USB protocol it was two fingers in the nose.
