  1. Any chance that the secret sixth prehistoric (pteradactyls?) level from the GBA version is included as an Easter egg in this release? If so, please tell how to access it! Also, any plans to use this same engine to create a CV/SGM port of Time Pilot '84?
  2. I am having some trouble with my CFFA 3000 remote. This problem occurs in multiple CFFA 3000 boards, including both a Dreher original and one that I bought from ReactiveMicro a few years ago. This problem also occurs in both the IIgs and the //e. Although a workaround exists on the IIgs, no workaround exists on the //e, with the result being that I may not be able to use certain software that I very much treasure on the //e, because I originally used that software on the //e. The problem is that, while playing Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego?, with both of the two disks mounted in Disk II Drive 1, the remote will function only to switch from Disk 1 (the front side of the physical disk) to Disk 2 (the rear side of the physical disk), and not to switch from Disk 2 back to Disk 1. The specific point at which this problem occurs is after successfully completing a round of the game, during which Disk 2 is active, and the game states that your progress will be saved in your record. The game then requests that the user place Disk 1 (the front, boot side of the disk) back in Drive 1 and press enter. Pressing the Drive 1 button on the remote does not restore Disk 1 to active status; instead, Disk 2 remains the active disk image in Drive 1. As a result, it is impossible to save progress in this game. On the IIgs, of course, calling up the CFFA 3000 CDA provides a workaround. Fair enough, so far as it goes. But on the //e, there does not appear to be a way to call up the menu without rebooting. Consequently, there appears to be no way to save progress on the //e. Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? was a tremendous source of time-wasting for me in fourth grade. I very much want to be able to play this game on the //e, not just on the IIgs. Is there a way to get the remote to perform this crucial disk-image swap on the //e? The remote does work in other situations. For example, the remote works to switch from Disk 1 to Disk 2 in Drive 1 after beginning a round of the game. So this is not a matter of the remote simply failing altogether.
  3. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Time Pilot was one of my favorite games growing up. This really is the arcade version at a horizontal TV orientation. Now, can you give the same treatment to Super Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom and Carnival? Zaxxon and Super Zaxxon? You have set the bar for future releases! 🙂
  4. Are there instructions available on how to mod Expansion Module 1 to become a stand-alone machine with its own PSU and AV-out?
  5. Who does that mod and how do I purchase one?!
  6. Thank you. Is there a way to mod Expansion Module 1 to directly output composite video, in order to bypass the F18A-modded CV/Adam for everything other than power supply (and audio)?
  7. Rietveld, Thank you very much. Follow-up question: Does Expansion Module 1 work with an F18A-modified ColecoVision, plus the following composite mod? Does this composite mod create composite output directly from Expansion Module 1, or is it somehow coming out of the ColecoVision itself? And would this composite mod work while using Expansion Module 1 with an F18A-modified Adam?
  8. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know whether the Adam, with an F18A board, will work with Expansion Module 1? My understanding is that the Adam, with an F18A board, will work with the Super Game Module, but I have not been able to find a clear answer re whether it also works with Expansion Module 1. Time-sensitive inquiry here. Any prompt responses would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
  9. Problem solved with a firmware update and reconfiguration of the Ultimate PC Interface. It works with Mister!
  10. I have an "Ultimate PC Interface" adapter for my ColecoVision controllers, and it still works great on Windows. Unfortunately, I recently got a Mister, and the adapter does not transmit all button signals from the ColecoVision to the Mister. Huge disappointment. With that in mind, is there a known Mister-compatible USB adapter for ColecoVision controllers? Any leads will be much appreciated. Thank you.
  11. There would be some poetic justice to that. If I recall correctly--and please correct me if I am wrong--many ADAMCons were held in the Great Lakes Region running from Upstate/Western New York State to Chicago, and/or metro Toronto/York.
  12. The annual KansasFest for Apple II users is coming up this week, and it made me want to reach out and ask: Is there any possibility of an ADAMCon revival in the future? Or an ADAMCon/ColecoVisionCon of some sort? One of my big regrets is that I never made the time to go to an ADAMCon years ago, when it was annual.
  13. Indeed. I have been playing Kevtris since the mid-1990s, when I first got into emulation. And now I run it on my actual ADAM using an Atarimax Ultimate SD. I was not aware that Addictus was a SmartBASIC program. Thank you for the insight.
  14. Is there any chance that someone could convert Addictus (the Adam Tetris clone) to work on a ColecoVision with SGM and to work with the game controller rather than with the keyboard?
  15. Thank you very much! Wonderful news! Is the RAM size adjustable, so as to make it compatible with larger PowerPaint files?
  16. By the way, does anyone know whether the Mister ADAM core supports SGM games?
  17. As a general proposition, any issues of CRT vs. HDMI aside, I have to say that I am amazed by how much the Mister can do. And, as a guy who has actually been annoyed for 25 years by the fact that I simply cannot get a rising flying knee kick on Double Dragon II for the NES to consistently execute properly on an emulator, and having likewise been annoyed by occasional input interruptions and lag across all sorts of emulators and on all sorts of computers, I am really excited by the prospect of being able to play all of these systems without lag and with near-perfect replication. Whether one calls it emulation, replication, or something else, I am just thrilled to have it. And, once they finally get the MMS boxes back in stock, I will have it. The addition of the ADAM core patched the one missing component that I needed for it to cover all of the bases most important to me.
  18. I do not yet have a MMS or a Custard cart to test, so I personally cannot confirm. However, I was holding off on buying an MMS until I could find some way to reliably play Duck Hunt on my composite CRT. This appears to do this. Truth be told, aside from light gun games that require a CRT to function at all, I have no interest in playing video games on a CRT. I love the clean, crisp, precise graphics on a modern HDMI screen. If I could play light gun games without a CRT, then I would never go back to one. But for the sake of Duck Hunt, I want to find a way. And this appears to be that way.
  19. I reached out to Neil at RMC Retro. He clarified that the Super Video Custard (the yellow SVideo/Composite box for the MMS) is a completely new design of their making that does not require special cores. It does all of the work in hardware in the cart.
  20. I will reach out to Neil at RMC. Are you quite sure that it only works with select, specially adjusted cores? They seem to suggest that their conversion does not require special core adjustments.
  21. A discussion of the "custard" add-on is at 19:15 in this video: https://www.rmcretro.com/videos/a-mister-handheld-multisystem-updates-behind-the-scenes-and-add-on-development-8eAgjgbZyPw I doubt that they will release it if it is buggy for composite. Not worth dealing with customer complaints if it falls short.
  22. Are you referring to the yellow "custard" adapter? I do not believe that they have released it for sale yet.
  23. I am going to buy the Mister Multisystem from RMCRetro in the UK. That does the 128 MB RAM, the USB hub, the analogue IO board, etc. It has built-in SCART (of minimal use because I am an American) and, more importantly, an adapter for composite and S-Video without lag, so that it works with Duck Hunt and other light gun games. My only reservation was that it is incompatible with a second RAM stick, but the PSX core now works with single RAM and the embryonic Saturn core is beginning to work with single RAM, which suggests to me that a second RAM stick may never be truly necessary.
  24. I owe a huge "thank you" to the folks who put out the ADAM core. I don't even own a Mister yet (I have a DE10-nano, and I'm going to be buying the other pieces once they are available, but I am waiting for them to become available through the vendor I want to buy them through). I had thought that nobody out there cared enough about the ADAM to do a core for it. I was wrong, and I am so glad that I was wrong. I have heard that disk/DDP writing is not yet possible. So be it; I hope that the feature will come along before too long. I am just thrilled with the prospect of being able to run Buck Rogers Super Game, Addictus, and SmartBASIC on my Mister (when I finally have a Mister). Thank you to everyone involved in putting out the ADAM core. I am very grateful for it.
