  1. Since I asked about UK orders, just thought I'd pop in to say my order from RetroTowers arrived...ish yesterday (missed the delivery), collected it today, works nicely!
  2. Ah, thanks! Given that I only just fixed my Lynx after having it in my possession for at least 10 years, I think I'm happy to wait.
  3. Hey, I see there was an e-mail saying 300 of these have been sent over, congratulations! I'm not expecting this to be an option, since I imagine it could well be more faff than it's worth, but as I'm UK-based it seems pretty wasteful to have something shipped to the US then back here (not to mention the import VAT costs on top of that), so was wondering if there was a slightly less indirect option for those of us more local? Thanks! (And sorry if I've missed something earlier in the thread that already answers this.)
  4. I think they're all basically the same from different manufacturers with maybe minor variations in terms of what they'll accept, but I don't do electronics. I picked the one that didn't require me to order a million of them (so instead I only got 50...), which was MMBT3906LT1G - https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/5450359/ This is where someone more knowledgeable is going to come along and say "noo you're going to fry everything", but I struggled to find a difference.
  5. I had this same issue just the other week, but I ordered some "MMBT3906"s from RS (Farnell also has them) and they worked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2N3906 describes the family of transistor, MMBT3906 is the form factor of those used in the Lynx. (I think I'll also use this space to say thanks for the people who have posted here that allowed me to actually fix this Lynx that I'd never seen work in over 22 years - I've looked at it a few times over the years, but this was the one where I was able to actually make it work. Recapping and replacing the MOSFET didn't do it alone, but I grew a lot more confident when providing 5V across C39 made it turn on for the first time ever, which gave me the drive to replace the 3906s and Zener diode, at which point it worked.)
