  1. Sorry, I wasn't able to reply sooner; but health issues come first. Anyway, I have two TI-99/4A units that have this same USB and F18A VGA, along with a 4 port KVM (VGA/USB) that I can use with 5 Logitech keyboards. Two that I like the best for the TI, also work well with two Win 7 Pro mini towers and a Del Docking station for my two Dell Laptops (E6430 & E6420). Absolutely great, until a TI has a serious keyboard issue that requires it to be replaced! Have a great time with your system! RetroBill P. S. Actually only one is a Mini tower and the other is a Mid tower.
  2. Yea, extremely useful along with T-99Hdx! I prefer to use real TI--99 hardware instead of emulation, except for development.
  3. Had I been able to release TIB+ (TI Basic Plus) back in the day (long ago) or even two or three years ago, it would have made hobby life much easier for those who have returned recently a bit more fun. TIB+ uses AL to create lots of useful "CALLs" provided you have 32K or more RAM. In the last two months I only squeezed 1 day of hobby time in until now. I will try to look in here a little more often, but no promises. RetroBill (fdos)
  4. It sounds like a Blast (from the past)😊 Anyway, I'll have to wait and see once it's complete. In the mean time I will just do my best to get my old TI PEB up and operational, so I can use my old TI ForTI card, but I'll keep watching this topic for your progress reports. RetroBill (fdos)
  5. Please don't give up on your efforts. I need just one TI sound chip to fix mine, but it can wait until I can set my PEB back up. It's been down since we moved and I only have half the space I had before the move. So a very slow process for me to do.
  6. Golly, if only my brain cells weren't so rusty; I often thought if I still used sugar in my coffee... Just until I went to a two cup thermos, as my 80K MG GramKracker.. Uh oh, I forgot the "punch" line. Sorry, I'm probably not awake, yet!
  7. I'm very busy right now with a TI USB keyboard issue, and house sitting along with two dogs for my daughter. I'm also wondering how difficult it might be to make a 32K GRAM version like the 40K version I use because I have a TI Basic with the E/A INIT, LOAD, LINK, PEEK, POKEV, PEEKV, and CHARPAT. This would allow E/A to be loaded at g>3000 for anyone not able to upgrade their standard GRAM KRACKER. RetroBill (fdos)
  8. The DSK of GK Utilities, probably, but I've misplaced the GK Manual, and have not found it for my own use, yet. Is it not on the WHTECH website?
  9. Of course, as the PC keyboard Caps Lock does the trick for both when it's working!
  10. Thanks, I believe the instructions will do the trick, as the standard USB port does power the 4 port K/V/M when my TI console is the only unit powered.
  11. I do believe it is yours, as it has the second USB port that may be able to restore operation, but I don't have the instructions for using it.
  12. My F18A Ti-99/4A USB device has failed. It looks okay and provides a "BEEP" along with the TI title screen, and then an immediate "HONK", but it is necessary to unplug the USB cable in order to use the TI-99/4A keyboard. I'm also aware that it has a second USB port, but is intended for some other purpose, as it has a different connector. Is this the usual failure for this USB device? It is also very difficult for me to open up the TI console to this degree, and then close it back up without messing something else up! RetroBill (fdos)
  13. Maybe, just head trauma, as they didn't inform me of any deductible when I went. RettroBill (fdos)
  14. Yes, I will be asking them at my next appointment June 1st at the VA hospital in N. Las Vegas. I'm also not compensated for all the miles I drive for any medical appointment. I think I would be better off just driving to Mexico, and coming back as an illegal alien! RetroBill (fdos)
  15. This is why I don't use any XB for programing, and I only use SXB when I need to move chunks of TI BASIC code around. Otherwise, I prefer to program in forth, as I can embed simple forth machine code as I type (create) interpretive forth words or CALL my forth AL library for immediate use in X4th99, and deciding which choice to make is a matter of confidence in usefulness of the code I'm writing. (Also one MB of SAMS for both TI-99/4A and SNUG TI-99/4P, but one is 8 bit and the other is 16 bit, so we know which one wins that race!). Yes, there are also different flavors of forth to choose from (not nearly as many as XB) In all cases, I try to make it easy for the new to forth programmer, as the dedicated forth programmer can do their own thing at any time they choose. 16. I'm very busy these days, so I don't know when I'll get to run your DEMO. The VA has been harassing me with medications, prescribing two new ones, sending me for lab work, and then prescribing two different ones (new primary care doctor; we've talked on the phone 12 times or so, and have done two video links, but have not met in person.) She, the VA, arranged to send me to a nearby urologist as they could not arrange a VA appointment for several months. Now this local doctor is threatening to sue me as the VA did not pay him the full amount that he billed them! I will eventually get the things I've said I would do done, Lord willing. RetroBill (fdos)
  17. It's most important to me for my 16 bank SNUG TI-99/4P system which uses 16 bit addressing even for the 1 MB SAMS on the SGCPU! But I do hope do adapt your paging technique to my NanoPEB systems currently in use. Therefore, I will keep these pages and all useful pages that follow. I certainly appreciate all that you've done so far, as it exceeds all my expectations for my previous message here.
  18. I"m only interested in the AL FG99 behavior, and getting back to TI Basic (at >6001/>6002/>6003/>6004) or switching to Super Cart AL code by writing to >6005/>6006/>6007/>6008 for the time being (MENU-SC, REMIND-SC, etc.) RetroBill (fdos).
  19. Thanks, this makes it very easy for most everyone, including me RetroBill (fdos).
  20. Yes, I can certainly live with just GROM1 and GROM2 available.
  21. Yes, John was my only beta tester on Forth+ for the 9640 Geneve. He did a thorough job, even found all my typos in the documentation. We got along splendidly due to both being hooked on forth! I'm truly sad on this occasion, as I've not had contact with him since I gave up on the Geneve. Of course, my own medical issues had a lot to do with all of that. I was certainly glad that he was part of this TI/Geneve community.
  22. The VA has been driving me crazy this month, so I'm glad others responded to your request. Although my method uses a USB to a 4 port KVM solution; only 3 ports in use right now. Hopefully once I have my SNUG TI-99/4P operational? However I have a request for you, if you can spare the time I could use one or two of your... Oops, when I have the time I will PM you this request, as I have 3 more VA appointments this month, and one with my bank, so probably not until June.
  23. My solution is to not use the TI keyboard! I have a Logitech keyboard that works great with two of my TI-99/4A consoles. RetroBill/fdos
  24. Yes, I do have TI Pilot. Unfortunately, I moved late last year, and I'm still in process of setting up my hobby systems, so I haven't come across TI Pilot yet, and I won't have time to even look for it, for several weeks or longer, as I'm not really interested in using it.
