  1. You guys will be so happy with this cart. It is the bomb. I am super stoked I got mine!
  2. Update, I finally gave up on that 7800 and bought another off of fleabay. The new unit came pretty dirty and the buttons were sketchy so I cleaned it then hit up console 5 and the brewing academy for some goodies. After everything came in, I got to work. I replaced the motherboard buttons, recapped it and added a high output power regulator and rgb led. A new uav was added with sound mod and a European bios conversion kit. I now have rf, composite and s video options and pokey sounds great. Picture is outstanding and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I do have an issue with asteroids not working but the bios appears to work fine as I no longer have the atari delay when booting up. Anybody have any ideas?
  3. I figured out a solution. I had a spare 7800 composite kit laying around so I went ahead and connected it to my intv and only used the sound amp. It worked like a charm. Looks and now sounds great!
  4. Also, the voice module games are very distorted and I used the factory spec sheet from console5 to check my power brick and converter and all is within spec.
  5. Hello guys! I just installed a Fred Kona board on my intv 2 and it works great. I followed the directions from retrorgb but the issue I am having is sound. Some games I get sounds on certain aspects like explosions in astrosmash but nothing else like when the ship fires and on other games like pitfall the sounds are muffled and you can hardly hear them even with the sound all the way up. I used a 8 port mini din and connected the signal to pin 3 going into the rf and ground to the rf case. I am using a pass through scart to gscart then to a shinybow converter to component. Any ideas?
  6. I finally gave up on this 7800. I just bought another one from fleabay. I will start from scratch and sell this one off. Thanks anyway...
  7. I just installed a separate composite mod board totally separate from the uav and using the old rf pads and I am still not getting composite signal. Could this be related?
  8. I have tried choplifter on the concerto and the actual game and it does the same thing. I have noticed when the concerto goes through the boot up process with the flashing colors I did not notice any smudging. I then tried some homebrew games and the smudges are faint and on the opposite side of the screen. Do you think the Maria chip is going bad?
  9. Great suggestion. I just tried several 2600 games and the color is perfect...
  10. I will try to find another tv with s video to test out that theory, thanks!
  11. Also, composit still does not work and when booting up my concerto, I don't notice the smudge....
  12. I have replaced the uav board, used a monster shielded s video cable and recapped the board and still the smudge remains. Could my Maria chip be going bad???
  13. Would you mind messaging him this thread and see if he has any ideas? I would really appreciate it. I may just buy another board and start over I guess..
  14. I will double check all my connections tonight to ensure no shorts but thanks for the reply. I think it may be the uav indeed
