  1. I still want to see a Neo Geo collection on Evercade!
  2. They announced the next one! Metal Mech, Stanely & The Search for Dr. Livingston (both two more obscure NES titles) and Zero Tolerance, a Genesis first person shooter much like Doom and Wolfenstein - that I rented years ago! I'm excited! A third Piko collection doesn't surprise me. What do you think?
  3. Records are back!  They may be here to say as they've outsold CDs for the first time in years!

  5. When Big Larry came 'round,  just to put him down,
    SpongeBob turned into a clown,
And no girl ever wants to dance,
With a fool who went and -- ripped his pants.

I already own a flugelhorn, thanks (Yamaha YFH-631).

  8. Next week, the first Amiga collection will be announced. Any speculation on what titles will they be? Zool? Alien Breed? Sid Meier's Civilization? Dare I say...the Secret of Monkey Island?!
  9. What is it with Akira Toriyama and giant fish?!

  10. I read all about the full English breakfast, the ancestor of American and Canadian breakfasts.  There's eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, toast, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.  Individual tastes and regional differences also vary; full Scottish breakfast may have haggis or Lorne sausage while full Welsh breakfast may have beer or ale instead of tea or coffee(!).

I'd try this but I never pictured baked beans or tomatoes as breakfast food!

Full Irish breakfast: eggs, proper bacon, sausage, black and/or white pudding, mushrooms, tomato.  Definitely tea and toast.  Real butter.  Far superior to any of the other pretenders to the name of 'full breakfast' :D

      7800Knight

@x=usr(1536) I heard about the full Irish breakfast.  There's also the full Ulster breakfast which either has soda bread and/or potato farls.  That sounds tasty.

Slices of grilled tomato, sure.  But you'll never convince me that baked beans belong on a breakfast plate - gross!  🤢

  11. Who wants a baked potato from a vending machine?  You can get one of those in Japan!

  12. New York Deli!  My Purple Passion!

I loved New York Deli brand potato chips.  I totally remember this 1980s commercial.

That was a pretty 80s commercial all right.  (Nice!)

  13. TODAY IS MARDI GRAS!!

While people in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast celebrate Mardi Gras with revelry, drinking and that delicious Southern/Cajun/Creole cuisine, I'm in -9F weather with snow everywhere.

We're supposed to get that storm too...They say 10 inches of snow and a terrible wind chill factor...Probably a blizzard if the wind from the past few days sticks around...It's been awful.

  17. This Kid Icarus conversion looks incredible visually!
  18. @Revontuli My hat is off to you for your efforts. A horizontal shooter and a puzzle game are both something the 7800 needs.
  19. The Atari 7800 could use more platformers; the NES has Super Mario Bros (and many imitators) along with Castlevania and Mega Man. Titles that come to mind are: Arabian Athena Bagman Black Tiger (Black Dragon) Bubble Bobble Captain Silver Circus Charlie City Connection Jungle Hunt Karnov Major Havoc Mappy Pac-Land Peter Pack Rat Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory Samurai Nipponichi (close to a platformer) Snow Brothers The Wiz Wonder Boy
  20. "Hey, man!  Is that Freedom Rock?  Then turn it up, man!!"

If you're my age, you'll remember this commercial for Freedom Rock, a 1960/1970s compilation album; it ran throughout 1987, 1988 and 1989 on cable television!

Still have my discs. TV mail order was still rather new to me. CDs were still quite the novelty. Especially to use the "light fantastic" to play them. Yeh. Lasers were sometimes called that back then.

school, 1990-91 I wore flare leg jeans one day. All I heard al day was "freedom rock, man!" and "where ya goin'? the 1991 hippie convention?"
