    I plan to visit Japan in 2024.  Right now, I'm learning Japanese with the website Duolingo.  

     

    Anyone else use that site?  It is very handy.

      Good for you man.. I guess I'm ashamed to say I've been going to Japan since I was a kid in the late 70's, and I still barely know a lick of japanese lol   Fwiw, I always relied on my sister who is fluent.

      @GoldLeaderYeah I use Japanese at work and stuff. No choice, as there are only like 6 people in the entire company that can do English, including myself. I am far from fluent, and there are frequently instances of things that I can understand but not actually read since I don't know the meanings, but this happens to Japanese people as well, so it is actually somewhat normal. I can't talk about like science stuff or political stuff or most other technical things, but I was able to talk about game development stuff with Uemura-san from Toaplan when I met him earlier this year, so I guess I might not be all that bad.

    This video was depressing to watch.  With all these stores gone, I'm reminded of how much the world has changed and how shopping malls aren't what they used to be.

      I miss when North Shore Square was regularly active, especially with GameTrader 20 years ago. At least we still have Lakeshore Mall and the Riverwalk.

    Don't be ashamed. The original Super Mario Bros can be quite hard. Super Mario Bros the Lost Levels...that's nightmare level difficulty but that's a whole other thread.

    I mainly liked Super Off Road for the bikini ladies on screen. 😁 That game was almost everywhere as was WWF Superstars. I played both. I know quite a bit about WWF Superstars; I wrote the TV Tropes entry for that game! WWF Superstars (Video Game) - TV Tropes Did you know the game reuses the Double Dragon II arcade engine? That was due to its rushed development. In fact, due to the schedule, Rick Rude and Brutus Beefcake were dropped from the game roster as they were meant to be playable characters.

    I'm in favor of this idea. I want more arcade ports and Mikie was a fun game. It was hard though. On another note, I never knew any high schools that had aerobics studios.

    So next year planned releases for the Evercade will be Amiga titles! NEWS: Blaze Entertainment Announces Partnership With Amiga - Evercade : Evercade What will they be exactly? I guess that depends on licensing and what is available.
