  1. Didn’t know Tony Barnes made Strider (2014) , I love that game.
  2. It appears November 8 is the release date of the game on Best Buy’s site. Features Airworld Yes, the team at Digital Eclipse created the fourth chapter of the never finished Swordquest series: Airworld. Haunted House A modern 3D isometric adventure based on the classic original. Vctr Sctr A celebration of the vector era of gaming which combines gameplay from a variety of vector arcade classics into a single challenge. Neo Breakout An amazing and addictive two player competition that combines the best parts of Breakout and Pong. Yars Revenge Reimagined Modern graphics the best-selling first-party Atari 2600 game of all time.
  3. I had the same issue with the modern controller one day. It would not turn off, but worked fine after it died, and got recharged.
  4. Bought Tempest 4k, Fatal Run, and Kombinera. Although was charged for Kombinera, the game acts like it hasn't been purchased, and won't allow download. Opened an Atari ticket, probably be resolved later. They just can't handle any type of sale. Love my VCS, but they definitely struggle when a sale happens.
  5. It's growing on me...I was too harsh on this game in an earlier comment. Having fun with it as we speak.
  6. After spending more time with BPM Boy, I stand by what I said. $10 game at best. Not enough content. Too simple of a game. Not every game that releases in the store is gonna be a great game. We get excited by games simply just being released in the store, when on another console, most of us wouldn't even think about purchasing it. I do have appreciation for the effort put into the game, but time isn't what makes a game great. Quality and value is, and the value of this game to me is $10. My opinion. You may love the game. It's not a bad game. It's an ok game to me. I was just let down after the anticipation of it for me.
  7. Bought it right away. Not really what I was expecting. Price point is probably too high for this one. Regret my purchase honestly. Appreciate the effort in making the game, but probably won't spend much time with this one.
  8. How many Atari VCS do you think are out in the wild? I would guess 10 to 15K. If store sales are around 21,000.
  9. I'm glad I'm not crazy, hadn't played it in a couple weeks but I knew it contolled differently. It's unplayable as of now for me. It's kinda hard to begin with, but the way it controls now, it's just awful.
  10. I can't even play the game anymore, the rotation is off now for some reason. I'm not sure what happened. When you move the spider around, it doesn't move smoothly anymore.
  11. Bottom line: I love the VCS, it does everything I expected and more. It's my favorite new gen console based on its versatility. How often do you play it? Just about every day. Favorite game: favorite game from the Atari store is Sigi: A fart for Melusina. Favorite game I've played on it is Cyberpunk 2077 from Steam on GeForce Now. Most anticipated game: Unsung Warriors and The Spirit of the Samurai. Game that surprised you most: Sigi: A Fart for Melusina and Black Widow Recharged. Love both games!! Also, Guntech, I finally gave it a chance, and I really enjoy that game as well. Biggest letdown: Classic Controller. Never use it. Feature you unexpectedly love: PC Mode, at first I was scared to do any upgrades and put Windows on it. But, I finally upgraded Ram and speed, and this thing runs great now. Mods you've made/installed: Windows, 16 GB Ram, and 3200 speed. Your "Recharged" Wish List: None. I'd love the VCS even more if it: had more games available in the store. More than half the games available are not anything I'm interested in.
  12. Bought Black Widow Recharged on October 29..order 9863...118 sales in 2 days. I think everyone is buying Black Widow. It's probably my favorite tied with Unsung Heroes or Warriors lol can't remember the name. It's a shame that Atari's sales are so low. I bought Black Widow on Steam at first, but it kept freezing, so I refunded and unhooked windows and went back into VCS mode for the first time in 4 months to purchase Black Widow. Very addicting game.
  13. Would a laptop cooling fan work on the VCS? When playing games like Doom, Cyberpunk 2077, and Fortnite it can reach temperatures in the 90 to 100 c range? Would that work, or would something blowing air from the back be better?
  14. My Xcloud works well in PC mode, very little lag if any. Stadia worked well for me to. But, I don't really use them anymore since I've upgraded my Ram. I pretty much download and buy what games I want now and play them natively.
  15. XCloud and Amazon Luna apparently in the Atari OS now after the new update.
  16. Just played it on 720 P, low settings. Played perfectly fine. Answered my own question.
  17. I've upgraded the Ram to 16, allocated 4 GB to video, and upped my speed to 3200 mhz. I can play Doom 720 P, medium settings. Runs well. Bought Eternal, on sale for $15, hoping it will run.
  18. So, I will be upgrading the Ram to 16 tomorrow, hopefully it goes well, but I know I'll need to get into the Bios to change the speed from 2666 to 3200 mhz, hopefully someone knows the password.
  19. I haven't taken my VCS out of Windows in 3-4 months, I used a PS4 controller with Stadia when I was using Atari OS Chrome.
  20. I use it with Windows 10. I haven't used the Atari Console portion in 3 or 4 months. Was just hoping I wasn't wasting my money by adding Ram if it won't help with game performance. Streets of Rage 4 won't even start, it freezes before the title screen. Was hoping that type of issue could be fixed by adding more Ram.
  21. So I bought these Ram sticks to upgrade the VCS, since it's 2400 mhz, is it not going to help game performance or will it still help? I'm not really a PC person.
  22. I use the VCS alot in Windows and it never fails I'll be playing and the cable will fall out of the port losing connection until I out it back in.
  23. I'm thinking about upgrading the ram to 16. Which ones should I buy, and what will the extra Ram do for it? Im still gonna run windows from the external drive I've been using. I'm nervous about taking the VCS apart, but it looks simple enough.
