I haven't had any contact with Philip since 2007. I heard he was in Kona for a visit in 2019... had a visit (along with a female companion) with my ex. I'm currently involved with another project and well... AR is Phil's baby and what we had planned and what he since has augmented in his mind... Well I just don't know. But should he wish to do something... I would march to the drummer if he asked. *smiles*

Well I didn't have much to do with how they translated.

Fire Button... I thought Cakewalk went out of business along with what it turned into - Sonar. I have Waveform9 and the pro-version of Melodyne... Just not a lot of time to play with them *smiles*. JACE I was google-n AR for the heck of it one day and saw a link to your AR version. When I saw your picture, I thought hmmm that guy looks familiar... But didn't know why till later when I read your bio. I was back in Hawaii for a bit after Monolith but then was... Well, a lot of places. Currently, I am in Newport Beach, Ca. Hi to the other guys on Jace's post... As you can imagine it's a thrill to hear different versions of AR songs and listen to the ones inspired by them. Btw Jace... Do you remember that Kurzweil 2500X you gave me? It still works! Recently I added a Kurzweil Forte. Seems you guys have got me (now with some spare time), motivated as well haha.

I liked your version! Just remember, it was 1984 and I only had 4 square wave voices (good ole pokey chip) and had to write in hex so it could be compiled into binary for the old atari which had a clock speed of 2... (the apple at the time had a clock speed of 1 hehe).

10 or so years after Alternate Reality - The City, there was an attempt to visit it once again. That attempt failed. 10 years after that (2006-7), yet another attempt was made to allow people on earth to see and join the current happenings in that world. This attempt also failed. The picture was taken during that second attempt.

Regarding a return of AR... Aside from the 97 foray there was also a brief but exciting attempt to restart AR online in late 2007 and early 2008. To make a long story short it went away when Activision and Blizzard merged. As to another go at it... That's gonna be something Philip will have to initiate. AR is really his baby. While we lived, ate and slept little else in late 83 early 84... Phil's the guy who designed and made it happen.

$A12,030,081 As I recall, something like that in the hex editor represented playing G above middle C for 1/2 a second. So you have this stuff running for the 4 voices and then you would compile it... Listen and know where you screwed up haha.
