  1. Thats what I was doing wrong! thanks!!!
  2. When I write a program I usually make an error. When I fix the program, it runs the orginal, faulty program and not the edited one. I just got my 400 a few days ago and a total noob to it. please help, Mitchel.
  3. Can you Edit a program on cassette in BASIC? I keep making mistakes in my code, and would be nice to add in code into a prevously made program. 8-bit noob in distress, gamer1682.
  4. My 400 came in today (yay!) It fully works with 16k ram (Using an atari BASIC cart). It also came with a 410 data recorder. Can I use the Cassette player for BBS? Can I use an interface Module with that amount of RAM?
  5. how many is few? (lol) Before this I was attempting to mod my flashback 2, which had about 20 or so points.
  6. Im currently looking at an Atari 400, the seller knows it works but doesn't know what how much memory it has on it. I know it's hard to expand due to the fact you have to take the entire case off then SOLDER the freaking 48k on. This is scaring me right now. Does anyone have any previous experience with this? Does anyone know where the expansion port for it is? Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED! -gamer1682.
  7. I have one. I like mine whenever I play it, but from what I know it plays some sound effects differently than the NES and some of the cartridges (there's a list on Messiah Entertainments website). The controller it comes with is small and cheesy, so I went out and got a regular NES controller.
  8. I was planning on getting new ones, but thanks for the advice anyways. It will be much more easy to get cassettes than 5 1/2 floppies.
  9. Will the 410 tape recorder accept today's store bought cassettes? I plan on getting an 800 sometime around christmas and I would like to use a tape recorder due to the fact they still sell cassettes but im not for sure if new ones would work since the recorder will run two tracks at once.
  10. sweetness! Not only is it in DFW metroplex, As soon as I can get an 800(im planning on it, probably christmas) and a modem I'll be a knockin.
  11. Im chosing between a 2600 jr. that is $35 bucks and has a chance of being broken since there's no way to test it (ebay store) but also comes with most of the games I want; OR a 2600 jr. that is garunteed to work for $36 bucks and will come on a later date. You guys knowing the durability of a 2600, should I go along and take that chance?
  12. It seems I can't really make a choice here. Either A: attempt to mod my FB2 with little soldering experience and have a large chance of frying it; OR, if I am sucessful, not be able to play star raiders since its a REV A. But on the other hand, I could buy a jr. at the same price with several games. Here are the pros and cons FB2 Pros: Already Have, 40 games, $19.99 FB2 Cons: Has to be modded for cartridge use, no compatibility with Star raiders 2600 jr. Pros: same price as FB2, comes often with 5-10 games, cartrige ready and compatible with mainly the entire 2600 library. 2600 jr. Cons: No RCA output, Dont have it, Risk of buying it on ebay. What would you choose?
  13. just go to ebay they freaking stockpile those there. plus, practilcly every cartrige in the Almagordo landfill has probably been crushed or swooped up by other junkies. Although, it would make a good mythbusters episode...
  14. Yes, sort of. The conductor spacing is the same, but the floppy drive has 34 conductors while the 2600 has 24. I used a floppy connector for the cart slot in my modded FB2. 5 1/4 or 3 1/2?
