  1. In 10 games or less, What would you say were the games that defined the Atari 2600? Consider It's capabilities, uniqueness, pop culture, what is what like to be a user in it's lifetime. My picks would be: Combat Video Olympics Because they were the types of games that the console was originally designed to be able to play. Featuring head-to-head gaming and Video Olympics utilizing the paddle controllers. Space Invaders Pac-man The system's 2 best selling games. Ports of massively popular arcade games. Maybe include Ms Pac Man also to show that the console was capable of a good version of the game. Pitfall - the best selling 3rd party game, a platformer Warlords - 4 players fight against each other with the paddle controllers Other possibilities? Night Driver representing driving games, E.T. for the hype and let down, Breakout a popular paddle game, Adventure
  2. I would have chosen the Atari. As a late teenager at the time, with the exception of Donkey Kong, I didn't know any of the NES games while the Atari had the already classics Galaga, Pole Position, Ms Pac Man, and Robotron. I also like the look of Atari's traditional joystick compared to the new style NES gamepad.
  3. Video Game Ad Christmas 1987 from JC Penney catalog. Put yourself in 1987 and you don't know the future. Which system would you have chosen? Both systems are $80. Atari's carts are $12 while most NES carts are $30 to $35 but the classic Donkey Kong is $22.
