  1. Me jumping in months later... Why this Pascal book over some others. This is a harder one to find, so I was curious as to what you liked about this one.
  2. I don't want to derail the original topic with this info, unless he feels this is a better alternative for him that utilzing the 1541. This is good information to know since I'd like to get another drive for my setup, either integrated into the PEB or as a standalone drive.
  3. Does the 3.5 drive option for the TI PEB only work with the CorComp or BWG (not sure which one this is) controller, or will the standard 1240 controller card (SS/SD) work with the 3.5 drive, too?
  4. That worked. Logged in and already harrassing arcadeshopper with a hello message. Thanks again for the help.
  5. I'll try that again. I was working from that page and Stuart's page last night, but no luck. Maybe I overlooked something again. That happens when I start working on this stuff late at night. Thanks!
  6. Ready to see the MBX and games pricing when you're ready. I'm probably going to get into a bidding war, so maybe that's a good thing that I loose out. Either way, ready to see.
  7. Yes, one year later... Is CHATTI replaced with the Group Chat link on the myti99.com page? I get a 404 when I go through Stuart's browser and type myti99.com/CHATTI. I can navigate the myti99 page with no issues, and even posted a message in the Group Chat. That Elite demo is nice, by the way.
  8. Definitely interested in the MBX and games if still available. Scared to ask what you're looking for, but interested.
  9. @jedimatt42 I think the misunderstanding was with how the version correction to @arcadeshopper was written. At first glance it looked like the response was kind of joking about how he needed to be literal in what version number he called out. You are correct, though, that version 2.4 is not the same as version 2.40. While casual users s might not see the difference, this can literally be a difference of 36 versions. I responded with "chiding" as meaning it looked like a good-natured ribbing of arcadeshopper, but I also wasn't sure if there was maybe additional information I was missing concerning tipi versioning and what I was trying to accomplish. Greg pointed out that what you responded with, the difference between 2.4 and 2.40, was just you correcting him about version numbers and nothing else. The use of the word "chiding" wasn't meant to be anything more than experienced users joking with each other.
  10. Yeah, I figured it was some user chiding, but wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Ugh, I figured I couldn't get around the CRU issue when running a PEB with both the tipi and P-Code installed along with the disk controller. I mean, it's good that I was wrong (again) about thinking the tipi couldn't work with the P-Code when mapping drives, but I do like have that floppy handy. The sound of it running relaxes me, too. Takes me back to when I was using my TI as a kid.
  11. @arcadeshopper yes, this is the repaired P-Code card I bought from you about six months ago. Now that I've got the basics of the tipi worked out (also thanks to you), I'm trying to spread the wings of this resurrected setup. It is a jumble from an estate sale that I'm trying to get it to where the original owner wanted to take it.
  12. @arcadeshopper Well, got some time this evening and was able to make a few copies of disks as experiments. All worked. Then created the Assembler disk for P-Code and that booted up great! To boot, though, I had to remove the tipi, which gets to the issue of the tipi being CRU 1000. I thought before I had read a comment or response saying that the tipi was not compatible with the P-Code card, but your instructions make sense, as I was thinking that I could map the programs to drives 1 thru 4 if I changed the CRU for tipi. What sucks is that you mention I'll need to remove the floppy controller. I really didn't want to have to remove it. I like my floppy. It's comforting. And I am running v. 2.40 for tipi. @jedimatt42 as for your mention of 2.40 vs 2.4, are you just being cheeky or is there an issue that I need to be aware of?
  13. Kind of a follow up to the first post in this thread. After you upload your .dsk image to tipi and it creates the DIR folder, can you then map that DIR folder to DSK2, DSK3, or DSK4, and have your destination as DSK1 (holding your floppy disk)? From there, use DM2k to create your floppy disk? It seems like it would be that easy, but I think I'm missing something. What I'm trying to do is create floppies of the P-Code software for my card. I've seen other posts mentioning trouble with creating a working floppy using the DIR folder, but maybe this has been solved and I'm just missing the answer with my forum search?
