  1. That's it ! I was finally able to test Metal Slug version on my Ste. I would like to point out that I usually play it on my arcade cabinet or my AES. In order to enjoy the experience, I am delighted to have ordered a controller with the management of the three buttons: shoot, jump, grenade. Verdict: for me it is a technical killer! I never would have thought that possible on a Ste. First of all the graphic rendering. It's thin, colorful and really close to what we know. Inevitably the character has lost some colors, details, but it gives a little cartoon side. A few frames also jumped but what a pleasure! Note that to display as many colors, they are alternated. It creates a slight flickering effect visible when you're in "technical review" mode and analysis of the work done, but once again everything can be forgotten in game. For the animation, as mentioned when the video was posted, it goes fast, very fast, too fast. You have to see it as a technical demo. There are a few slowdowns at times but this remains anecdotal. There are huge sprites, it comes from everywhere, flawless. For the sound, we find the well-known digits and sound effects of the game. I can't wait to see what your future project will bring. Congratulations!
  2. Thanks for the private message. I was able to order and add 2Mo ? Everything works perfectly. More in the Metal Slug development post. I never tire of using your hard disk interface.
  3. Hello, I received the hard disk interface and the gamepad. Everything works perfectly the first time. Excellent! I was able to add a few games from the PC and it also works. Unfortunately for me, I thought my Ste had 4MB...it only has 2. Impossible to test Metal Slug (though Wolfenstein 3D works even though it seems to require 4MB...). In short it will be necessary to buy 4Mo (For another STe which has 1Mo and I will see for my STf which has only 512kb). A priori we can find 4MB for 30€. Is this a correct price? In any case, the reader works perfectly with the power supply of my Pi3 and a 16GB Gigastone SD card. Thx, Amigatari
  4. Hello, Thank you for this information. I was able to play old towers using the .prg It's very exciting to be able to play a new game on ST after so many years... The master system gamepad is not too flexible. Hopefully I can use the one you made! Tonight it's Old towers on the program!
  5. Yes, I used Floppy image to recreate my floppies. It is thanks to him (and therefore thanks to you if I understand correctly?) that I was able to transfer Droid, Lotus and another games. I had already used it over 10 years ago to back up my uncle's graphic design diskettes. Fortunately, today they no longer work! It may be worth reinstalling a WIN95... I'll see after receiving my hard drive if that's necessary.
  6. Hello, Thank you for the clarification. I read that it was "complicated" to create such a dense diskette. Unless you cut the image in half and recreate it on the ST. I hoped that by being under Windows XP and possibly by being under DOS that would be possible. I'm waiting for the Masteries hard disk interface. I hope it will allow me to play Old Towers directly from this interface or copy to floppy from it. I also saw that you offer distributions for hard disk. If it's compatible, I'll get back to you soon. ??
  7. Thanks for this video. I was able to discover Old towers, Droid and the remake of Lotus spirit turbo challenge. I had to reconnect an old PC with a floppy disk drive and Windows XP to easily transfer the ST images to the floppy disk. My Ste appreciated being able to test new games. Unfortunately I was not able to transfer Old Towers to a floppy disk (880Ko?). I had to play it on emulator.
  8. Hello, No worries, this increase is a reality for everyone. Thank you for giving me by MP the modalities to order the hard disk interface and 3 button gamepad. ??
  9. Hello Masteries, You have a private message (hard disk interface+3 button gamepad). A new life for my Atari Ste. Thank you very much ?
