  1. Well, I got a formal apology from eBay. Very strange indeed. They had this to say: Dear carminethebowler, We have returned your listing(s): 300083791846 Nintendo / Game Park: GBA / GP32 Hand Held Systems to the site, where it now appears as an ended item. All you have to do is click on the relist link located in the listing itself and it will restart. Additionally, if there were any bidders for the item(s) listed above, we have emailed each of them a copy of the following letter: "You recently had placed a bid on item number(s): 300083791846 Nintendo / Game Park: GBA / GP32 Hand Held Systems which had been removed by eBay. After review of this listing, we have found that it was removed in error. As a result, we have informed the seller that they may relist their item if they wish to do so. Please feel free to re-bid on this item under the new item number. To locate the new item number, please check the sellers list of items at: http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_seller.html We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." Regards, So there it is, after about six removals and me just relisitng the item. So much for the threat of getting kicked off eBay.
  2. Haha, it's hell or high water for me. I'm listing it again until they throw me out or the auction ends. I was doing pretty well there, 15 watchers and a bid of up to $33.00. So here is the listing again http://tinyurl.com/2y2ojo Remember I'm also including: • Smart Card 128MB ( with the latest multi-firmware ) • The starter CD contains plenty of Emulators and roughly 40 free ware games Good luck.
  3. Wow, taken down again! That was the longest this item has made it so far. Any bets on how long it or I will last on eBay once I repost it
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300084536886 ( link to the auction ) In case anyone is interested, I have a GP32 system with a modified GBA ( light knob attachment ) for sale on eBay. The GP32 comes with the original installation CD full of emulators and roughly 40 freeware games. I'm also including a 128MB Smart Card that I can't list on the auction. This auction has been shut down four times due to reasons of enabling users to duplicate software. I assume it was the Smart Card so I took it out of the photo. The image below is the original image pre-removed and changed for eBay's standards. If you have any questions you can post them here or email me through eBay. Anything related to the additional items included please send an email to my personal email account which you can get though eBay. Thanks, Dale
  5. CV Multicarts? Why would they target those specifically, do you think it's a person trying to get more for their auction? In case anyone is wondering I'm including the SmartCard 128MB on this auction as well as a CD loaded with Emulators, roughly 40 games and other misc.
  6. Nintendo? It's a legit Nintendo product. I'm not going to get much for the GBA and game by itself so I put it up with the GP32 hoping to kill two birds with one stone. I don't see what they would have an issue with me selling one of these systems and one game. Not like I'm cutting into their profit margin.
  7. Well I "modified" the listing so let's see what happens now. Thanks
  8. Thanks, mcgrail0007. You are the first person to give me a few legitimate reasons. I think the point has simply become that eBay is run by impersonal machines. What I really want is for them to answer my emails and say, this is not allowed here and this is not allowed here for these reasons. If they can't talk to me as a customer then what have I become to them? I'm sure they could care less if I get booted from their "circle" which I don't even think I would want to be a part of at this point anyway. I'll try taking off some of the things you and Albert have suggested. It seems that the auction has survived the night and I have no emails from them, I wonder what tiny, little, dusty cogs started squeakily spinning in their automaton heads or if they even noticed I re-listed it.
  9. 300083791846 - Nintendo / Game Park: GBA / GP32 Hand Held Systems http://tinyurl.com/2cj6yx This item has been removed four times now with no apparent reasoning behind it. Ebay claims this item enables members to duplicate copy-protected material. This is basically true of more items than I think ebay cares to take note of. Shall we start a list: VCR's, DVD Recorders, Computers, Paper and Pencil (thanks Albert) to name a few. So I've relisted this item and I'm keeping tabs on it, like a mini diary in case you're interested. I have yet to receive an email that answers my questions sent to customer service, which I'm not sure is actually manned by humans at this point. I asked why they did this and kind of let them have it a bit, I wasn't very happy. If anyone can explain why they think this auction is being removed over and over while other members enjoy the benefit of listing this perfectly harmless item, please let me know.
  10. Finally, we have word and the name chosen was not Atari related. Sorry everyone. The good news is they loved the list of names we gave them and they are using them to name other ventures. I will let everyone know if they use one of the Atari names. The name chosen was MidPoint Executive Park. Midpoint, you think they could have at least used Midway
  11. wow, this was weird. I really didn't have enough time to think about the design as I would have liked. But I had been thinking about the new Saw movie and thought it might be nice to turn that "A" into the "AA" mark. The hand came from watching Shaun of the dead and Night of the Living Dead too many times this year. This was also the toned down version as the second draft, which Albert didn't even see, had a lot more blood splatter on it. I was also trying with all my might during those last few minutes before it went live to get the swirls painted on the face of the puppet from Saw as the replacement for the AtariAge blue circles. I just couldn't get it to work within the time constraints. Anyway, thanks for starting a thread about this.
  12. Well, that's me out. I must have lost the overlay when my computer crashed back in 2004. I lost a ton of stuff due to lack of backing up my drives.
  13. Thanks to everyone for their input. I've delivered a list of titles that included a good deal of names from the contributors here in the forums. I will be listing the winning name soon. Keep in mind though they have an extensive list of non-Atari related names to choose from as well. So keep your fingers crossed. Thanks again and stay tuned.
  14. Tomorrow is the last day, any more thoughts on names. I'm going to be using quite a few of these, but more are always welcome. Thanks everyone and I will let you know what they choose.
  15. Atariboy, I've seen your stuff before online. Great work on that Dumbo game. I ended up watching Japanese movies all night last night and forgot about Grover. If I dig up what I have I believe it's built to dimensions already. I would be happy to pass it to you AtariBoy for some of that sweet art.
  16. MilkMan, do you do carton art? I noticed a great artist in the Go Fish competition, maybe we can enlist some assistance there as well. Nathan Strum, I think was his name.
  17. My question is which buttons are used in this game? I noticed all the overlays are different. What do the controls do also?
  18. Milkman, would you be interested in a joint venture on this. I don't have tons of time, but if we combine our efforts maybe this would be easier. I'm not sure I have any artwork for it, of course it's been years since I've seen where I left off.
  19. Let me digg it out tonight and see where I'm at with it, I'll send you an email when I find out more.
  20. Albert, I still have the beginning of the Grover Overlay, let me see what I can do. I'll just pass the file onto you for a few samples in payment. If you're interested?
  21. I'm down with some "Mystique Villiage" Don't worry AtariCharles, I hear you.
  22. I actually thought of Pitfall Plaza, but then thought it might sound like something was wrong with the place. As though something bad may happen
  23. Not bad, Suddenly I feel the urge to play Jammed.
  24. Okay now we have the following name extensions: Park Center Centre Village Place Plaza District I'm really leaning towards Venture Plaza, any thoughts?
  25. I read those Zork books, I didn't know that was the name of the world. Weird.
