  1. Actually The Adventures of Batman & Robin for SNES is even bettern than Batman Returns. The graphics, animation and especially the music are awesome considering it's a 16-bit game. It's worth checking out. BTW, ROTJ for NES was awesome but it seemed to me they dropped the ball on the Genesis and SNES version. They appear to be nothing but a straight port of the NES version with a couple of (very) small graphic enhancements.
  2. Awesome! Yep, those are the scenes! They were from the NES version. This was based on the original 1989 movie and were not in the follow up game Return Of The Joker.
  3. No, this was based on the 1989 movie. It was released in 1990. Sorry for the confusion. This showed cutscenes of Batman interrogating a criminal. He tells him that Joker kidnapped Vickie Vale.
  4. I remember back in 1989 seeing a preview of the Batman game from Sunsoft. They showed a bunch of cut scenes that were, well, cut from the game itself. I was wondering if anyone knows of a prototype rom that may have been dumped?
  5. I picked up 13 NES games, 4 controllers, NES cleaning deck and the gun for $5.
  6. I have played the X68 version of Castlevania and it is a really good game. Excellent graphics and nice music. The X68 had a lot of newer games including Super SF2 (which was very, very good), Afterburner, Castlevania and more. Check around, there are a few emulators for this system.
  7. Uhhh, the Amiga version was *not* a good port. Hell, it wasn't even a good game on its own merits. The frame rate dropped to around 3-5fps when going through tunnels. It was a horrible port and one that shouldn't have been attempted. At least Race Drivin' was pretty good.
  8. Oh, and speaking of the home PC and console ports of S.T.U.N. Runner, doesn't it amaze you that companies would even try doing a port of something that they know is just not possible? Domark released both Hard Drivin' and S.T.U.N. Runner for the C-64 (and I believe the Speccy as well). They also released Pit Fighter for the C-64 as well. Talk about a complete waste of time!
  9. At the time, S.T.U.N. Runner was too old of a game to be ported to the Jaguar. The Jag could have done a decent job on it too. Oh, and S.T.U.N. Runner on MAME is excellent as well
  10. S.T.U.N. Runner on anything but the Atari Lynx was a complete waste of time. The only reason I bought an Atari Lynx was for S.T.U.N. Runner and it was a great translation. The sound, smooth color cycling and playability made it one helluva game. I have played the PC, Atari ST, Amiga, and C-64 versions and they are all utter crap. You would think that the Amiga could do a decent job but the framerate stutters down to 2-3FPS. Stick with the Lynx version, it's the best.
  11. Klax came out for the Commodore Amiga in Europe as well. This conversion was done by Domark/Tengen and was developed side-by-side with the original coin-op back in 1990. This was one of the best conversions done of the game. I know it's not a "console" version, but it is another home version for all you "Klaxers" to try.
  12. BTW, I don't know who created that 20th Century Fox Batman label but that sure is sweet. I've seen that picture of the Adam West model before (I'm big into Batman modeling) and thought the label was really well done.
  13. Nahhhh no Batman game ever came out. I remember reading that First Star software obtained the license for Wonder Woman and The New Gods video games but nothing was ever mentioned of Batman. Of course, this was in the early 80's and Batman really didn't take off popularity-wise until 1989 but even still............... The New Gods? E-gawd man!
  14. The 1966 movie is on DVD, not the TV series. It's the same reason that the 1966 movie has been released multiple times on VHS but the TV series never has been. The license is tangled up, whether its DC/Warners, Fox or George Barris is anybody's guess.
  15. There are too many license obstacles that prevent a 1966 Batman game from ever coming out. You have DC Comics which owns the Batman license, then you have 20th Centry Fox which owns the television rights, then you have George Barris who owns the rights to the 1966 TV Batmobile, and then you have to get each actor's approval before they can be used in a game. This is the same reason why we don't have the TV series on DVD, or any TV toys or collectables.
  16. You know, as a long time Batman fan this is something that really upset me as a kid. We had Superman and Spidey on the VCS. Superman came out due to the popularity of the 1978 movie and Spiderman was probably due to his TV show in the late 70's as well. I do remember reading in the early 80's that the rights were licensed for a Wonder Woman game as well as a New Gods game. My first reaction was "Why the hell are we getting New Gods before Batman?!?!?!?!?" As a matter of fact, there wasn't a Batman game until Data East/Ocean released one on the PC in 1986 or 1987 which was based solely on the comic. Great job on the mock Adam West cart.
  17. Is this the indoor flea market in Oak Park called "Wolff's flea market"?
  18. Ataridude: Ahhh, shuddup and go back to the Superman Cinema message board
  19. Nintendo's not going anywhere. Lets no forget, Nintendo still has a monopoly on the handheld market and that's a big chunk of change. For proof of this, they are getting people to pay $99 for basically the same handheld they already have with just a built in light and rechargable batteries. The system sold out in mere hours in Japan and pre-orders have been through the roof here in North America. Nintendo's going to be around for awhile.
  20. Well one of my rarest finds was back in the 90's and I found a complete Colecovision with Turbo steering wheel, Atari 2600 adaptor for the Coleco, 4 controllers (including the Sports Action controller or whatever they were called) and 20 some odd games for $3. A couple years back I found some MIB Imagic games at a thrift store for $1.50 each and they were all 5's. Now if we were talking about toys I would have to say the Clark Kent Super Power figures I found at a yard sale for $1 each.
  21. Goodwill had Atari games listed for $2.38. All common and too expensive for me.
  22. I was just about to say "nice haul" but then you mentioned that they were going up on eBay and it took the wind out of my sails.
  23. Hahahahahahah a text dream? Now thats insane!!! As for the Super Mario dream, that is really funny! Now that you mention it, I seem to recall having a Donkey Kong dream where I was Mario and I was climbing up the girders to rescue Pauline. Hmmmmmmm
  24. Here is one of my video game dreams from approximately 20 years ago. My parents had bought me the Coleco table top Donkey Kong electronic game (the case was designed to look like a mini arcade game) but the gameplay was attrocious. It vaguely resembled Donkey Kong (as did most handheld "conversions" at the time) and I was a little bit disappointed. I then layed my eyes on the Sears Christmas catalog of I believe 1982. It showed a new version of the Coleco table top Donkey Kong game with AWESOME graphics! It looked exactly like the arcade game! I *HAD* to get one of these! It was all I thought about! So I had a dream that I got one and it looked exactly like the arcade game. Years later I was looking through the old Christmas catalogs and came across the Donkey Kong table top ad. The reason the graphics looked so much better on this new version was because an actual picture of the arcade graphics were super imposed onto the table top version. Man, was I disappointed again Lets here *your* weird and crazy video game dreams!
