  1. Does anyone know how to extract data from a nuon.dat file? My Nuon player doesn't read discs anymore, but I wanted to see if I can get the Tempest 3000 soundtrack off of my disc. Thanks!
  2. As far as I know, there are cracked versions of Cubase Audio Falcon and Notator. I never clicked with Cubase though, and stopped using Notater once Logic was available, and I was using computers that were no longer compatible with Notater anyway. The primary reason I moved my sequencing off of Atari computers was the Log 3 interface copy protection. Logic 2.5 on an Atari TT in TT high resolution was awesome, and in combination with Sounddiver 2, it was amazing for people with a lot of hardware synths. The main reason I don't have a MiSTer or Firebee is the lack of a cartridge port or a crack to get around log 3 copy protection. Cheers
  3. Has anybody ever figured out a way to remove the copy protection check from Logic? It was always a headache to try to use a Log 3 interface with an Atari TT, because the timing was different and even if the MIDI interfaces worked, sometimes it would fail the copy protection check and either the software wouldn't run or you would not be able to save your work. Some TT's were compatible some of the time, and others were not at all. Cheers
  4. What refresh rate are you using when you choose a resolution to launch the game? In my case, I needed to use 60hz or the mouse/spinner sensitivity was way too low.
  5. I got it working with a Micro Center Atari fight stick with trackball and spinner. I had the situation where you would need to turn the spinner a million times to get it to go around the tube, and this was caused by running the video at 175hz on my monitor. Apparently the video refresh rate is tied to the controller polling rate, so you should run the game at 60hz. If you run it with the monitor refresh rate too high, the spinner sensitivity will be too low. Is anyone here proficient in Microsoft visual studio 2016? If so please send me a message. I would like to try to modify the executables for the other versions of Tempest 4000. https://youtu.be/bg1tabsEbnE
  6. That's awesome. I have been stuck trying to get a SQLite database connector working for MS Access so I have only been able to open the games.db database in SQLite Studio.
  7. Hi, I'm not sure which games I will end up with on this system. I just want to create an INI file that includes informations for all the games I ever want to use so I don't ever have to do this again. Hopefully if I get this figured out other people can just copy and paste the parts they want.
  8. I don't necessarily intend to have 1000 games installed, but it will be easier for me to delete unwanted entries from an INI file than it is to manually enter them if I want to try other games. If I am able to come up with some way to select the games I want from a database query and then have it generate a corresponding INI file, even better. It would be nice to have an app to assist with any of this.
  9. Hi, I'm definitely not going to be making 1000 additional entries in the INI file by hand. It has probably been 15 years since I have had to do this kind of thing, so I had forgotten the easiest way to do it. I will probably end up using an sqlite script or visual basic scripting to generate the INI file from databases. Cheers
  10. Can anyone mention how they are generating a games.ini file from existing databases, or perhaps are people adding titles to the game.ini file manually? Thanks
  11. I haven't been playing close attention to all of these threads, but thought that someone might have already prepared a comprehensive set of 2600 screenshots, marquees, box art, and ini file for the GPS. That seems maybe to not be the case, so I was going to try to do it this weekend. This is solely for the GPS, as the artwork, shots, and photos are already up on sites like Atari Age and elsewhere. They just need to be selected, converted, renamed, and assembled in the ini file as it is specified. Cheers
  12. Thanks. I saw those listed in the game_type.txt file, and thought that I may have missed a significant development. I'm working on a corresponding database and collection of artwork for 2600/7800/5200 roms. Cheers
  13. It may be that I needed to run the firmware updater as Administrator, or that I had to move the files into the same directory as the updater. Either way, I got it working.
  14. Hi, I'm trying to install the custom firmware on my GSP, and even though it is recognized by the utility, I am getting the error "Test Device Fail". Any advice appreciated.
  15. Does the custom firmware support all of these platforms??? NES, Genesis / MegaDrive, SNES, GBA, VCS / 2600, 7800, ARCADE / MAME, 5200 / A800, 5200 / Lynx, Jaguar, PC Engine / TG16, CBM PET
  16. This is greatly appreciated. Has anyone created a set for 2600 yet? I have the scrapes from my other systems that have screenshots and marquees, but there are about 3600 images to rename.
  17. Is there an existing collection or repository of artwork and screenshots that folks are using? Thanks
  18. A number of users on the Atari VCS discord have been trying to find a VCS dust cover; I am wondering if there may be more interest in your product at this time since a few years have passed. In order to cover production costs, is it possible that you would consider doing this as crowd funded or with pre-orders?
  19. BigPEmu supports rotary and mouse control for Tempest 2000
  20. Now I'm wishing we could run Batocera on the GSP :-)
  21. You will probably want to follow the video or PDF instructions here: https://www.myarcadegaming.com/pages/atari-gamestation-firmware-upgrade-to-v-1-3-only https://youtu.be/lyyhjoM_1Wg?si=W6FtODbDdyT6D_RU https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1691/7407/files/Atari_Gamestation_Pro_Firmware_Update_Instructions.pdf?v=1703631509 Please note that the cable included with the GSP will not work for updating your firmware, as it is a power cable only (this information is in the PDF). Cheers
  22. Can you imagine any way to fix this bug in the GSP? Thanks
  23. Hi, I'm confused. Is there a way to change the emulator in the GSP? I see the link you provided for @fluxit patching the firmware to run scripts; is this capable of running FBNeo or other emulators, or is this for fixing the controller configs? I would be happy to be running a version of MAME without this bug if that were possible. There are less than 50 arcade roms I would probably ever play, but unfortunately many of these seems to have issues at present. Thanks
  24. Is there any way to fix this game bug that is playing the speech to fast on the GSP?
  25. Thanks very much everyone. I thought it wasn't finding everything because the controls weren't working, but it seems the problem is that these cfg files don't work as expected with GameStation Pro Controller. I would like to find a single stick control version for Battlezone (bzone.cfg), but it would be nice to get all of them updated for the GSP controller. Can anyone advise how these cfg file can be updated for the GSP controller, since they cannot be edited? I haven't changed MAME controller configurations before, but I assume you need a keyboard to open the MAME menu system. Is the controls.ini file not used by the GSP? I see that @Shannon has kindly fixed several of these files. Is there any location where all fixed cfg files for GSP are being assembled? I haven't found a way to search this thread for posts with attachments, but so far have found: asteroid.cfg astdelux.cfg bzone.cfg (seems to be a fix for a dual stick controller?) bzone-right-stick.cfg (seems to be a fix for a dual stick controller?) retroarch-bzone.cfg (cfg for retroarch) gravitar.cfg spacduel.cfg It would be nice to eventually put a complete set of fixed cfgs here Lastly, is there any way to fix the samples playing too fast? I noticed this for Space Fury. I'm not positive, but it seems the game may be running too fast as well. If this is an issue with all of the samples, I may try to change the pitch and duration of all of the sample sets. Thanks!
