  1. I just found a mint condition Flight Commander controller, complete in box, none of the decals have been installed, WITH Spitfire Attack for $8 I also picked up several Odyssey2 games for about $2 apiece. Nothing to write home about.
  2. well, at least it's better than carrying a large black brick with a 2-minute battery life to get your portable Columns fix... even though the Game Gear Columns sucked royally.. dunno 'bout Super Columns though...
  3. I personally use Video Olympics, set to Pong, or (if I am bored) Circus Atari. They usually help me to find out how bad off my paddles are.
  4. yeah, it's still working great for me. the only concern I have is, will this stuff, with repeated use, clean out the good stuff in the controller mechanism as well? I don't want to be playing Pong one day and find my paddle has completely crapped out... ...yes, I play Pong rather frequently. quit looking at me like that
  5. crud.. I should have printed out this post when going to radio shack. I just blew $12 on some precision electronics cleaner, part number 64-4345. And I had to go 15 miles out of my way to find someone who didn't look at me like a deer caught in the headlights when I asked him for something to clean my paddles.. oh well. ...think this stuff might work anyways? EDIT: I decided to try it out after all.. aside from a rather slippery residue, it seems to work perfectly. So I guess I didn't blow $12 on it after all
  6. Excellent. Thanks a ton. I'll head down to Radio Shack as soon as I can nab me some money, and do that. If that doesn't work, I will try the other advice
  7. I just picked up a new set of paddles today so I can finally kick all 3 of my friends' butts on Warlords. The problem is that when I move them around, the character(s) wobble back and forth like crazy. I already dumped another 2 sets of paddles in the past decade for the same thing, and I don't want to do it again.. Is there any way I can fix the paddles to prevent this from happening?
  8. I used a completely different method myself. All I did was replace the 72 pin connector on the NES. Ever since I did it the system worked perfectly, and I have not needed to clean it out for over a year and a half. The only problem I have with it, though, is that it makes the cartridges go in a little too firmly, and many games are now quite diffucult to pull out, especially Tengen cartridges. I literally have to wiggle the cartridge for a few seconds before it finally pops out.
  9. I think it's a light sixer, due to the fact that it feels about as heavy as my 4-switch, but I can't be certain about that. I do not know how heavy a heavy sixer should be.
  10. I guess I was wrong, then. Darn, and I was hoping I had a very rare system in my posession..
  11. Greetings. I found a 6-switch Atari 2600 at the local goodwill today. The interesting thing about it is that it says on the bottom "Manufactured for Atari inc. by TRW Electronics components company in Taiwan". I thought that all 6-switch systems were either made in Sunnyvale or Hong Kong. Can anyone tell me if I am wrong, or if this is a cheap remake, or something?
