  1. fine. for which one? of course, i'm going to charge you $50 for shipping. But only you. thanks for the bump though.
  2. These are some Japanese games that have been laying around, and I'm tired of looking at them. PM or email [email protected] with offers. Prefer paypal, but will accept money orders. All complete/mint unless noted Tekken Tag At the End of the Century 1999 Squaresoft baseball game Dead or Alive 2 -have one sealed, one used Driving Emotion Type S-one sealed, one used Fantavision Fifa 2001-sealed Gran Turismo 3-missing large reference book Ridge Racer V Sky Surfer
  3. Quoted for truth. Where is the bashing and demeaning? they did more than just take out the AV, and they did "cheapen" the parts. From what you've written I assume you've seen inside both models. If so, than how can you state the 2nd model is cheapened? reason's for- no blinking problems and.... reason's against- lines in the picture, no AV, high price. There i stated the reason's why l think it's awful, which in the original post I alluded to in the statment "For all the reasons others have listed." I mistakenly thought since other people listed them, i wouldn't need to restate them. Silly me.
  4. I'd agree with the folks telling ya to pass. The toploader has been built up to be this great alternative to the toaster, but it's not. Remeber, Nintendo didn't make it to improve on the toaster, they made it to be CHEAPER than the toaster, and it is. For all the reasons others have listed, it's an awful machine. Sure you can mod this and that, but who has the time/patience/skill for that? Replacing a pin connector just takes a screwdriver and 10 minutes.
  5. Here I thought I'd be long forgotton about by now You seem to have the right idea going into this, so no one can really piss on your parade. You just want something to kick around a bit and have some fun with. the jag will fulfill that wish wonderfully. My thing was more about damage control concerning those who would lead you to believe the jag was the be all and end all of gaming. From what I've read here, most of the zealots have calmed down quite a bit, which can only help. Anyhow, have fun!

  8. i received the stuff the other day. Everything worked great, thanks!
  9. I'll give you $5.00 if you bring them to me.
  10. I'd say a commodore 128 with disk drive, those games mentioned, and all of the other games that it comes with is definitely worth it.
  11. I found Space Raiders quite enjoyable myself. The play mechanic brought back fond memories of when you used to play a game to master it and get a high score, not just beat it. There are so many horrid ps2 games, it's hard to whittle it down to one....most of the obvious ones have been mentioned...3DO released so many games, and they are all contenders...I'll go with GTA. Horrible controls, camera, and graphics. The emporer has no clothes people.
  12. can't help you out much, because I have pretty much the same problems. if i take the module out, discs play fine, leave it in, and nothing wants to work. really pisses me off considering what I paid for it, and how little I've actually used it in the four years I've owned it.
  13. Every 32X that I've come across has had only the mono cable. To my knowledge, the only hardware that the stereo cable shipped with was the CDX. The 32X does get a lot of crap (and rightfully so), but I find its library on the whole more enjoyable than some other failed consoles...roar.
  14. I just noticed there is a whole thread devoted to this kind of thing, so i apologize for posting here if it offends anyone. I was just really excited. As an aside, I didn't know what they were worth at the time, I just don't like paying $3 for an atari cart, especially when the guy more than likely paid a quarter a piece for them if that.
  15. i think it's better if you tell what you traded them for, and then got $14 back on top of it. All in all, some good games that only cost you $4.31 all said and done.
  16. On a whim I stopped into a "trading post" today, and amid the vastly overpriced systems, I found a box of Atari carts. I expected to find the usual assortment of Space Invaders and pacman, but I noticed a cart I hadn't seen before. Digging through the box, i found nine more titles. I asked the guy how much the carts were, and he said $3 a piece. i asked if he could do any better if I bought ten. He said $20 for all. I said I could live with that. I got Mountain King, Sky Skipper, Private Eye, Lost Luggage, Space Canyon, Tac-Scan, Taz, Name this game, Miner 2049er Vol II, and Cosmic Commuter. I know most aren't all that special, but not a bad find I thought, and certainly the best I've done in years.
  17. no all of the above option?
  18. I too have bought the oldergames CDi releases, and they all suck (well, i hven't played go, so maybe that one is ok, but based on jack sprite and the pinball game, I doubt it). I kind of liked mutant rampage, but then again I'm a sucker for Final Fight clones. the animation of the characters is choppy, but is is playable at least. When it comes to the CDi library, that is not a small accomplishment. I tried to like Appretnice, but I prefer horizontal platformers, not vertical. Solar Crusade was decent (sequel to Chaos Control). Some of the game shows are fun with a crowd (but stay away from name that tune). CDi games were made to play on any system from any country, so as previously stated, as long as you have the right power cord, you are good to go. Most VCDs will work on a CDi, but not all CDi videos will work on a VCD player. I find the quality to be ok. large areas of solid color (especially black) get quite pixelated, but it's not unwatchable (to me anyway, but then again, I also watchthe old RCA selectavision video discs). I have the CDi 690. It has the DV cart built in, and I believe the most NV ram out of them all for saving games. It's a tray model, but I've had it for quite a while with no problems.
