  1. Atari Mexico or Atari USA, it more than likely came out of the same factory. So what is the difference?
  2. DCM2ATR is a command line tool. Need to use Command Prompt to open a command box and run it from there. It should work in Vista or Windows 7 32-BIT since it runs in XP but does not work in 64 BIT versions. I have Windows 7 64 BIT so it doesn't work in it. But I have XP installed in VMWare and it works fine in Windows XP 32 bit so it should also work in Vista 32 bit. dcm2atr.zip
  3. A listing for lots of games does not require a product listing, just single games where eBay has a product listing for the game.
  4. Keeping $50 in cash instead of getting a card you have to spend in Walmarts seems better.
  5. PM me the mailing address and I will write the ATR to disk and mail it to you.
  6. Here is Microsoft Basic I, disk based doesn't need a utility disk. Microsoft Basic 1.0 (1981)(Microsoft).zip Here is Microsoft Basic II, not sure but think it is the utility disk.Give it a try and see. Microsoft Basic v2.0.zip
  7. I have a copy of the manual at the link below for Microsoft Basic in PDF format. It is around 10MB. Better to right click the link and download it. http://ravenlist.com/files/atari/msbasic.pdf
  8. It is a combination cartridge disk. You need the disk as an extension to get all of the functions. It is also a memory pig and uses about 32k I think. There are also disk only versions of it. It is not compatible with Atari basic programs. I think the disk only version is Microsoft Basic I and the Cart plus disk are Microsoft Basic II.
  9. I really don't think a political discussion on this is where it should be headed. This is a discussion on PayPal requirement to provide 1099 forms. I doubt that they would put you in jail for not reporting what you sale on eBay. But they would definitely go after you financially especially if you received a 1099 form and ignored it on your tax form. They would hit you with penalties and liens to collect the money. This would mean attachments on paychecks, property, whatever you have. Fixing it after the problem comes up would be much harder than dealing with it up front and taking whatever deductions you are entitled to take. Nobody should ever suggest that someone take that risk.
  10. Both eBay and PayPal let you create monthly reports from their sites. If you pull eBay records once a month you will have records of eBay sales, along with listing fees, final value fees and shipping cost if you shipped through PayPal. A PayPal monthly report will give your totals received, refunds, shipping cost and fee totals. You can pull them as PDF files. That will cover a lot of your expense work with little effort. If you buy shipping supplies and other items used in the sales on line and pay through PayPal, that record will also be in the PayPal reports. If you use a credit card to pay for supplies, just keep a copy of the credit card bill. The rest of the expenses for packing materials, boxes, your cost of the item sold and anything else related you will still need to track. As Potatohead points out above, this can include mileage, etc. Even a computer and any office equipment used for the sales as long as the main use of those items is related to transactions. Don't know about PayPal, but eBay will interface with Quickbooks and track a lot of the expenses.
  11. Neither PayPal nor eBay can deduct their fees, shipping costs or anything else. For them to do so would violate the IRS regulations. It is up to the individual or business to keep track of expenses and declare them as deductions. While I might agree with your sentiment, that is not possible. The wording below is direct from the IRS publication: The gross amount of total reportable payment transactions exceeds $20,000 and The total number of such transactions exceeds 200. That IRS publication is at the link below as a PDF spelling it out. http://www.irs.gov/p...-pdf/i1099k.pdf
  12. You can log into paypal go to the history tab and select tax documents. If there is no 1099 listed there, you will not be receiving one. You have to have both $20,000 in receipts and 200 transactions to get one. You could have $2,000,000 in receipts and less than 200 transactions and not receive one. You can have thousands of transactions and if they don't add up to more than $20,000 you will not receive one. You can also log into paypal and go to the history tab and select Reports and then click on 2011 financial statement. That will download pdf file with all your information for the full year. At any rate, selling thousands of dollars worth of merchandise without reporting it is risky to say the least with or without a 1099 form.
  13. They announced this several times last year after congress passed it. They also demanded a SS number back in September. Anyway if you are trading to the tune of $20,000 a year, you are taking a big risk by not tracking and reporting it.
  14. Tested and working. Power supply is hard wired type. One of the later models without expansion slot. No RF box but have included a cable and converter as shown. No Joysticks. Asking $30 plus shipping. Weight boxed is close to 4 lbs so figure 4 lbs shipped from zip 94109.
  15. $10 shipped if someone here wants it. If not I will see if I can find someone local to give it to. Good cosmetic and working condition. Uses 4 AA batteries which aren't included.
  16. 800 looks the best and is great machine to use but for everyday use it is the 130XE.
  17. I have mailed over 1,000 packages in the past 4 years and not one has been lost by the post office. I have also in that same time frame received around 400 mailed packages, also not one lost. Sure it happens but based on my experience not often.
  18. The post office has the absolute right to open Media Mail packages, that is one of the conditions of the Post Office accepting it as Media Mail. The reason they have to do so is due to people ripping off the post office by mailing items as media mail that they know are not qualified for media mail. That drives up the cost of regular mail by the way. Has nothing to do with Horribly managed poor service. I disagree, the post office offers great shipping service. How many packages do you know of that they lose?
  19. ALL HAVE BEEN SOLD THANKS Atari Max 1 Mbit Flash Cartridge. Currently has Pooyan, Pac Man, Super Pac Man, Bounty Bob Strikes back and Miner 2049er flashed on it but you can easily re-flash to whatever you like. *SOLD* Super Pac Man Cartridge. *SOLD* Rampage Cartridge made by Atari Max numbered 2/50.*SOLD* M.U.L.E Cartridge made by Atari Max numbered 12/50. *SOLD*
  20. I added it into the First Hard Disk. I left in the 5200 conversion as well. Not really clear on the difference at this point but didn't really spend much time with it other than making sure it ran ok. The 5200 conversion as far as I can tell also does Control-T option.
  21. Atarimax MyIDE + FLASH Cart: 1MBIT Flash cart and IDE interface and 512MB Transcend Flash 40 PIN Flash Module. Flash module currently has some HD images with games on it but you can easily reformat it anyway you like. There are also 3 other Transcend 512MB 40 Pin Flash modules. One has been previously used with the MyIDE and the other two are unused in sealed antistatic. In good working condition, no longer use it so looking to sell. Make offer for all or parts.
  22. Not sure as I have never tried it but I think you have to daisy chain it and I think it only works on some SIO2SD drives that have diodes on certain pins.
  23. Poobah is right, regional Priority for a lot of things is the cheapest. A lot of times even regular priority mail is cheaper than parcel for some reason. For heavier small stuff the flat rate regional or regular priority mail boxes are the best deal. Free boxes and whatever fits in the box for one rate as long as it is under the maximum weight allowance which is pretty high.
  24. Personally, I would have passed without pictures in the auction other than the eBay stock item picture. They do come up occasionally, new in box for around $50 on eBay. That is $20 more than you paid for this one. By the time you buy a cart in good shape from eBay you will be out somewhere between $15 to $30 just for the cart. If you are happy with the box, you could always contact him and let him know that you didn't expect the Cart to be that badly discolored and maybe he will be willing to work something out with you. If the seller isn't willing to work out a discount or return with him paying the return shipping, you can always file an item not as described with eBay. Pain in the butt and draws it out but would at least get it returned for full refund including shipping probably. Not sure, you would have to check but I think in most cases eBay either pays or requires the seller to pay for return postage on items not as described. But always, politely contact the seller through the eBay mail system and try working it out before filing anything. Personally I would ask to return the whole thing and start over but that is a decision you have to make for yourself.
