  1. GALACTIC CHASE... saving results to MapRAM and disk 🙂 after finishing the game session, press RESET and xBios will write data from MapRAM to disk hsc-galactic.atr
  2. you can also check whether one of the custom E: drivers with standard Basic is not enough...
  3. Mario Bros XE with saving results to MapRAM and disk - the game requires 130xe or memory expansion by the way, the file is in compressed binary file format - xB loads game and decompresses on the fly... over 2x shorter file, with only 7 blocks compressed 🙂 (after finishing the game session, press RESET and xBios will write data from MapRAM to disk) hsc-mariobrosxe.atr
  4. SuperCobra with progress saved in MapRAM 🙂 hsc-supercobra.atr
  5. beautiful Score what's next game? Galactic Chase? Super Cobra?
  6. here's Zybex, saving the scoreboard to disk is also added as before - after finishing the game session, press RESET and xBios will write data from MapRAM to disk. #2 Zybex hsc-zybex.atr
  7. Of course xB supports turbo by default. by repeating rumors you become as ignorant as those who have not even checked what the reality is 🙂 but there is a grain of truth in it, but this grain of truth is the fact that xB allows the programmer to influence and even replace the communication module on the fly - something that no other system has 🙂 on YT I showed a video on how to smoothly change the baud rate 19K, 38K, 57K using xB ... I know ... it doesn't tell you anything what's next game? Zybex? Mario Bros?
  8. An example of a patched game that uses MapRAM to store HiScore and achievement on disk. the operation is simple - after the game session is over, press RESET to make xBios save the achievements from MapRAM to disk. the new xBios using ZX0 decompressor during loading by the way if there is interest, I will convert other games as well #1 Donkey Kong hsc-donkeykong.atr
  9. you are wrong as usual. Adepts of the real tin scene could design a device called a freezer. what's more... real magicians could use this memory to read the contents of read-only hardware registers... magic.
  10. why are you so high. that u1mb can't handle 2KB under SelfTest is not its biggest problem. Take it easy. MapRAM is a great example of hardware lock removal. You get 2KB RAM without installing RAM
  11. you're right, this popular extension, in addition to blocking half of the D3 memory page, also blocks access to RAM under SelfTest (MapRAM), but that doesn't mean that everyone has to agree with it and here is an example of using MapRAM to write score:
  12. none of the existing memory extensions conflict with MapRAM, only the U1MB modification. Here is an example of memory expansion with MapRAM on an Antonia board with a 6502 processor:
  13. about 10 years ago I also started with saving hiscore in a separate file on disk in old games but in retrospect I see that this was not a good idea.... fujinet can improve this by downloading the saved hiscore in a shared file on the network. ps. tokens counted how many extra lives the player gained in all sessions - game launches were also counted.
  14. thanks for in-game greetings 🙂 next step will be textured floor in shooters
  15. Why is there no support for the HiScoreCafe system. Why play if you can't compete and crush the weaklings.
  16. direct such requests to the author of the sysinfo program 🙂
  17. speed test: standard Atari, Rapidus 65816 Turbo, Eclaire 6502 Turbo.... so... Eclaire with 6502 is about 12 times faster than Rapidus? 1: 2: 3:
  18. maybe because the vbxe core is not free and someone keeps their hands on the fact that there are no devices with such functionality
  19. Just configure xB like this: - address $c000, - rom off - xB i/o - do not run this program from $600 - you can load everything without init in the right places. - you can turn off the screen for more drama while loading
  20. the same people tried to do the same thing in a thread with PoP but fortunately the author proved assertive
  21. in the case of limited space in the ROM, you add information that is completely unnecessary - such information is provided by any test program. A new ROM should increase the utility value 🙂 - S: update - K: update - 😄 update - E: update - update interrupt recognition system, - adding the ability to run Basic scripts from the machine code level there's more...
