  1. Thanks, I thought it might be worth asking here, since I haven't found many good emu for the ds
  2. I don't have any money to donate, but the game looks and sounds interesting!
  3. I'd love to hear some recommendations for good emus I can load onto my flash card for the Nintendo DS. I've tried a couple and never had very good results except the NES and Game boy emulation. I would love to be able to emulate Atari 8 bits, Turbo Grafx16, 2600 and it would be nice to do Amiga, ST, SNES and Genesis, but i assume those emulations would require more horsepower than my DS could give it. I'm interested in anything that runs full speed with sound on the DS, every platform has something interesting for it.
  4. Nice to see you are posting here. This is a very interesting group folks if you like Facebook. Lots of interesting comments/discussion about Amigas past and also current. Im still waiting to install Morph OS on my Powerbook G4!! My address on Facebook is Facebook.com/kev242 please consider adding me!!!
  5. you know there is an option in the Jaguar version to be more faithful to the original arcade version.
  6. I'm sure I am not the first person to pick up one of these, but yesterday I was killing some time in the mall and noticed they were selling atari joystick replica tins (with an actual rubberized stick) at Hot Topic for $2. They also had Mario and Yoshi mario kart pez... that is all!! Here is a picture, the joystick is really well done for a tin!
  7. Any interest in a mint condition graphite GBA with the box totally mint condition with adpater etc.. I also have a DS Lite also in mint condition it has had a vinyl skin on it so there are no blemishes with adapter, both are adult collector owned and include original box. Both systems include aluminum attache style cases to store them in and the DS comes with a special stylus that fits in the slot but telescopes out like an antennae for bigger hands (and better precision) I have 3 flashcards for sale one is EFA LInker for GBA games, the other is a TTDS DS flash card and Supercard SD (for GBA or DS games) also included is a passme card to use the Supercard SD with the DS. ] I will post pics etc when I get to my parents house where everything is stored if anyone is interested let me know. I am willing to accept your fair price. thanks
  8. wondering if one of the 3 games is better than the other two? I want to know which one to try first.
  9. I agree, but i think it's great the prototype was released in it's original form first. If someone wanted to (and had access to the code and the ability) then why not release a new "finished" version too? I wouldn't hold your breath waiting it took many years since it was discovered to get this version released. Anyway I remember drooling over the 8bit version of this game way back when, so for me it's been a 4 decade wait for it's release and I am just happy to see it. If i really want to play Sinistar I could always play the arcade version anyway.
  10. You can already play DS games on your tv. Get a laptop with good TV output, download DS emulator, now plug laptop into tv and viola DS games on your TV. That's probably as good as it will ever get.
  11. is this an XE game system? if so does it come with keyboard?
  12. Successful or not this game is a lot of fun. I haven't taken it out of my Wii since I picked it up. The learning curve is kinda steep, but worth it. The online is fun. I am gonna pick up a Wii speak just for this game. If online is any indication, people are playing it! Altho how many of them actually bought the game (the Wii is rampant with piracy) is up for debate. I would like to see more games like this for the wii.
  13. After playing the real game last night (as opposed to the lackluster demo) I am of the opinion this will be popular!! It's a great game with great playability and the online looks awesome. I am thinking of picking up a Wii speak now too!
  14. i was thinking the same thing, but i am single. I need to know the location of that nerve right away!!!!
  15. I have very good to mint cond libretto perfect lcd and keyboard with external dvd drive, wireless network card, power supply, case, win98 disc and a battery that holds a charge that i want to get rid of if anyone is interested pm me. I haven't tried any emulators, but it runs Doom, Wolfenstein, and other gamesfrom that era very well. I assume it could run old emulators from 95/96 pretty well, so you could prob get a NES, atari 800/5200, or c64 emu that would work if you look hard enough.
  16. Just over 1 mil (MHT) copies sold is decent for Japan. Based on what you just said, That is that it'll sell less in America if true I'd expect it would be a bust!! Although the market in America is much bigger than Japan. Maybe that will make up for it. I hope it does well. It looks pretty good. Like you say, you need to take into account the size of NA compared to JAP.
  17. Monster Hunter already is successful. Will it be successful in North America? Probably to some degree but it wont be as big a hit as it is Japan.
  18. I wish there were more games like this. It's really like being inside an animated feature.
  19. I would go, but what is the deal with the 15 admission? It seems a little high, maybe I am cheap, but I have a whole museum full of consoles in my closet and cellar, I'd go just to meet and talk with other retro gamers.. but maybe it's necessary to pay for the room? I have no concept of what it costs to rent a hall..
  20. Cool thanks for the info. I heard there is a lot or repeated running back through stairways and endless halls along with control issues. It seems though that everything else is pretty outstanding like the environment, the characters etc. I'll still probably get this one and put up with some of the frustrations cause it seems there is no other game out there like it. When you say "you've heard" do you mean you read in reviews? This is typical, a Wii game unfairly reviewed by someone(s) not familar with Wii controls. I started playing it last night and I was blown away. The visuals are awesome AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CONTROLS!!! The only thing I can see is someone who is not used to using a wii-mote and numchuck might have issues. The controls work beautifully and the game is quite good although I could see it being too slow paced for someone who is coming into it looking for a dungeon crawler style RPG. I like RPG's, but I also like adventure games. It's kind of like an Adventure game without so many puzzles with some RPG elements. This is the perfect combination for me. The visuals, atmosphere and mood are amazing. You really feel like you are in a animated feature. Like another poster said, sometimes the voice acting seems slow, but pressing A can advance. This is to be expected from an translated game. Along with Boy and his blob and Marumusa this a game that shines graphically without HD. Now maybe it's me, but I do have issues with most FPS's on the Wii because of the controls (which is ironic considering the Wii seems designed for FPS's). I don't think I am biased in favor of the Wii, but I see others who are not reviewers have problems too... don't get it. If you think the reviewers who claim the game has control issues are right, then I submit this: Why is this not an issue in Japanese reviews of the game?
  21. well it is a "DS" since it is ds compatible and it won't strap to your face so I guess you're out.. maybe you should lower your standards :-)
  22. I like the official one too. It just feels good and the way i play (with it on my lap) the weight is just right.
