  1. Was this legit? Any chance anyone saved the photos or remembers what this sold for?
  2. Haven't been on the forums there recently but he (or someone claiming to be him) had quite a bit to say in the comments section of the nine part "Video Game Fraud of the Century" piece on Billy Mitchell's perfect Pac-Man score. (Specifically Dot Five, Dot Six, Dot Eight and Dot Nine.) I always thought it was majorly screwed up how Sczerby was marginalized and his then world record score was basically completely ignored in the King of Kong, but at this point that film and that whole ordeal are ancient history. He just comes across as a lunatic if that really is him. I imagine the stuff being posted on TG is more or less in the same vein.
  3. I have an extra copy of Dead Angle for SMS although I'm pretty sure there's some scores written in the back of the manual. Not sure if that matters to you. PM if interested.
  4. Pretty sure I have an extra loose Pastfinder cartridge. May or may not have the manual. Send me a PM if you're interested and I'll take a look.
  5. Bought some boxed VCS games from him through Facebook Marketplace. He shipped them out the day I paid him and they were well protected in individual plastic sleeves inside a sturdy box. My highest recommendation. 👍
  6. Both were available at the 2001 CGE directly from the author. https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=1139 https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=1138 Although the memorial ribbon on Vault Assault would mean that particular cartridge was purchased after September 11, 2001 (which occurred a month after CGE).
  7. I was literally just watching that video. This whole saga just gets more and more comical (to the point of being outright bizarre) the longer it plays out. You really couldn't make this stuff up.
  8. If there are any doubts, I would add that all prototypes by U.S. Games that I've ever seen are in the standard shells.
  9. Some guy posted a picture of one on Facebook last year as well.
  10. Any chance of this still happening? I realize that the market for it would be rather small but I would love to see a version of Pac-Man Plus.
  11. The standard cases came first, as evidenced by the fact that the black label Vidtec games used them. The beveled cases were the same ones used by Amiga for Mogul Maniac and Off Your Rocker. This is no coincidence, as both Amiga and U.S. Games were located in Santa Clara, CA. Obviously, there was a connection there that resulted in both using the same suppliers. The Color Bar Generator by VideoSoft and Eli's Ladder by Simage also used that style of case.
  12. I guess you guys didn't see this one. I'm sure glad that I did. 😉 There's currently a beveled case Gopher listed here if anyone is looking for that one. Not in the greatest shape but it's a tough one to get ahold of.
  13. What Shawn just posted above is probably your only option. Or honestly...just play the Game Gear version. I'm not sure exactly what the goal is here given that Woody Pop was a Japanese exclusive, and neither the original Sega Card nor the associated OEM paddle will work on a Western SMS unit without a BIOS swap. Or do you own a Japanese unit?
  14. I don't know about portraying the war accurately and it's not exactly recent at this point, but I remember the Vietcong series being pretty good at the time. https://www.mobygames.com/game-group/vietcong-series
  15. Will Wright had nothing to do with Fortune Builder. He claims to have come up with the idea for SimCity while using a level editor during the development of Raid on Bungeling Bay.
  16. Being that the Harmony Encore is available, is there any reason people want this apart from the fact that it's old and no longer in production? I know why Andrew Davie wants one, but for anyone else, is there some specific appeal I'm not aware of?
  17. Yeah, I know. I've had a Harmony Cartridge for quite a while too...I'm just long overdue in checking those games out.
  18. Are the lines all sharp or does the printing look like it came from art that was scanned? How about the quality of the paper as compared to your other original? If you own both original and repro boxes for reference, you would be a better judge than me or anyone else here as to whether it's real or not.
  19. A very well known (re)seller. Looks like they might be cleaning house and dumping everything.
  20. Probably not worth the trouble but thanks for the explanation. Did anyone make a multislot expander like the HesCard 20 that was released for the VIC-20?
  21. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Secret Quest, Riddle of the Sphinx, Quest for Quintana Roo, and of course the Swordquest games come to mind. DragonStomper and Survival Island are a couple you may want to check out also, although I've never played them as I do not own a Supercharger.
  22. Yeah, I know about the hacked ROMs. I was wondering if the rumor of some factory cartridges being compatible had any substance to it.
  23. Over the years, I've heard people make the claim that there are copies of GORF (and Demon Attack) that will work on an XL/XE machine, but can I assume based on the conversation here that it's just a rumor? Does anyone actually own an original cartridge of either title that works?
  24. This guy was reporting a problem with certain Parker Brothers cartridges not working, but I've only ever heard of a problem with Astro Chase in the past. Frogger II should work fine.
