  1. I'm interested in seeing how Halo 2 has turned out. I just won't be in a rush to buy it until it comes out on the PC. Why oh why can't MS release a mouse/keyboard combo for the Xbox???  :x

    well MS didn't but.....

SmartJoy FRAG is an adapter to use a mouse/keyboard on the Xbox. I have no idea if it works good but I have read that it does. I just wish they'd do away with the right analog stick and throw a trackball in there instead......

i like that right analog stick :) its in the perfect spot for my thumb :)

  2. I hope your Xbox's arn't modded  ;)

kudos to the sales figures in that span of time - a friend at school couldnt believe the popularity in video games today when he saw the other other day a huge line xtending blocks here in ny for halo 2 - vg's are kick ass ;)

cant wait to play halo 2 soon :)

    Hi Foxy! :D

  3. My Pioneer LaserActive is definitely bigger than the Xbox. But then, it was designed to fit into regular rack stereo/home entertainment systems, so it's built to those specifications. Just like the CD-i. From what I have read, there were portable LCD versions of the CD-i by the end of it's life cycle, so they didn't need to be that big. But the home versions of the CD-i needed to look the part, so they had to be a certain size and shape to fit in with contemporary electronics. That's why I always thought it was a bad idea for Philips to make the CD-i into a game console shape later in it's life. It made it look like a game console (which was a market it just couldn't compete in) instead of a CD player and VCD player.

my fav version of the cdi is probabaly the 450 - its that grey flatish one with the push lid to open - the magnavox version. nicest one i think. and ive always wanted one of the of portables - lately they've been springing up on ebay a lot but i can't afford one :(

  4. Also if i don't get any offers by Saturday ill probabaly be ebaying them.

For those who have no clue who i am, ive been around on this site for awhile and have plenty of people who would give you their word to trust me :) i don't screw around :D

I can also provide pictures - not a problem.

and if anyone is curious about my ebay record dragonoftragedy is the name on ebay.

  5. For sale only, no trades - only because im completely broke and need cash badly, so its time to start sellin off the goods.

I have 6 games so far (probabaly more soon enough)

Would prefer 10$ or more for each, but am willing to negotiate since these probably are 15$ and cheaper on ebay and such.

    PM me if interested.

Id ship free of charge but i dont even have the cash for that! And i desparatly need cash for my metrocard, gas for my car and money for my bills :|

  6. JagMX, I'm not sure I understand what you did.

I too am amazed I'm having problems. I take very, very good care of not just my consoles, but everything I own. But I did say before here that these modern consoles - PS, DC, GC, XBox, etc. - just aren't built to last like the old stuff - 2600, 5200, 7800 - and certainly can't withstand the abuse those machines could.

My first rediscovered 2600 had been stored in a shed for who knows how long. Full of dead bugs, dirt, cobwebs. Cleaned it out and it worked like new.

But a perfectly-cared for DC that's only four years old just up and malfunctions.

i had a feeling you might not understand what i mean - its kinda hard to xplain - and even harder right now being that im xausted and my brain dont function that well with words and thoughts when im near sleep :) - so later on when i wake up ill put a better discription (maybe with pix) on what i mean

  7. My very first Dreamcast, the machine that introduced me to a whole new world of gaming, apparently has died.

The system's restarting problem is becoming more frequent. In a final effort to save it, I took it apart to clean the connections on the power supply unit - as I was told this is the common cause of this problem - but despite cleaning the pins twice it keeps restarting.

I bought a brand-new backup DC for a reason, and I guess it's a good thing I did, because I need it now.

Dealing with this restarting was starting to affect my desire to play DC. As in not wanting to play at all, and wondering why I bought so many games lately. I need to get this restarting problem out of the way, so my backup DC is no longer my backup - it's now my main system.

    If I had a shovel I'd be outside digging a hole...  :(

Now I'll be wondering if I should get a backup for my backup.  :ponder:

P.S. Slim chance I know, but if there's anyone here who lives in my area who thinks they could fix my DC, let me know.

i had that restarting for awhile (not that long actually) but it got so frequent that i figured out that the problem mainly was the cdrom piece. I had pushed it back and in and then it stopped - when i let go it restarted on its own

so i opened it up (cleaned nothing by the way) took it apart, but it back on and made sure everthing was tight and never had another problem since and its been over a year and no more restarts :)
