Here are the features and quirks of the Commodore SX-64 - the worlds first color portable computer. And it just happens to be a GREAT gaming machine too! This is a brand new video I released in the style of Doug Demuro, who famously covers features and quirks of sports cars on YouTube. The SX-64 may not be a 70s Italian sports car, but it certainly has it's share of hilarious quirks!

C64 Commodore 64 Deluxe Power Supply Saver bought for $50 will sell for $40 C64 Commodore 64 Deluxe Power Supply Saver Protect your vintage C64 by Ray CarlsenRay Carlsen, veteran Commodore repair technician, made this Computer Saver. The Computer Saver functions as a voltage limiter when plugged in-line between the C64 and the C64 power supply. The two LED's on the Saver case are indicators of the Power Supply status. The LED on the left monitors the 9VAC from the supply and it should be on all the time the Power Supply is plugged in to AC power, whether the computer is on or off. The other LED (marked "failsafe") is normally off. It only comes on if the Power Supply fails due to a shorted internal regulator. That fault is what damages chips in the computer, most often the RAM.

So, I recently got a Commodore 64 from one of my neighbors along with a 1541 disk drive, Commodore 1701 monitor, and I found a psu for it at a local vintage video game store. I tested the psu and the 9v and the 5v lines are working. So, I plugged it in the Commodore 64 and turned it on. The LED did not turn on and the screen was a solid black color. I took a look inside and everything looked visually okay. So, next I poked around with my multimeter and found only 1 volt on the cassette port. I know the 5 volt line makes it to the board because I measured the voltage on the power switch and the input and output voltages were 5 volts. So, I let it sit for about 3-4 minutes and then checked the voltage again. For some reason, the on board voltage was at a healthy 5 volts, but the screen remained a solid black color. I don't know what to do at this point. Could it be a bad capacitor, chip, voltage regulator, or something else? --Other info-- Board Revision: B Using RF output for the display Z key missing Thank you.

I don't usually post into the Commodore forum here on AtariAge (I think that this is my first time), but my friend Chris and I created a short video overview, about thirteen minutes long, of Ultimate Wizard for the Commodore 64, a game written in 1984 by Sean Moore and Steve Luedders for Progressive Peripherals & Software. This Jumpman-like game was published in 1986 by Electronic Arts. If you're a Commodore 64 fan, then you've probably heard of this game. This is not-quite-my-first-time playing it, but it's obvious in this video that I'm not familiar with this game anymore. We created this video as a test to see how good it would turn out. All our comments are off-the-cuff. This isn't perfection, but it was fun to make and, I hope, to watch too. Chris and I are astonished at how the quality of the C64 emulation held up in this video when "captured" using OBS Studio. Along with Adobe Premiere Elements and Audacity, we were able to put this video together pretty quickly. You can watch the video on YouTube : You can also watch or download the video from Archive.org: https://archive.org/details/UltimateWizardCommodore64ElectronicArts1986 If you have memories of play Wizard, then please post them here, as I'd love to hear about them. Hi Im trying to fix this Commodore 64 but so far no success. When I power it up I get a line on screen (look at picture), after about 3 minutes the chips are slowly getting worm except for the PLA,SID and Kernal they get hot but just enough so that they can still be touched, i probed with my scope pins 1 and 39 on cpu and the clock seems fine ,how do I proceed from here I am suspecting the PLA but dont have another Commodore to test it I heard that I could test the chips using a arduino but probably would need a code for that.

Wanted: Commodore 64C (NTSC) Power supply, box, etc would be great to have, but not required. Looking for a clean, non-yellowed, tested and working Commodore 64C. Please PM me if you can help! Thanks, ISB

Found a nice priced working unit on Ebay for a price I was willing to pay along with the drive. Thanks for consideration! A Commodore 64c was the first gaming and computer experience I ever had as a child, and I'm looking to obtain my own now. I'm looking for a working Commodore 64. I am not particularly choosy on the specific model, though I do prefer the 'C' model. (The sleek, white one, as opposed to the brownish/tan 'breadbox' C64.). I am also looking for a working cassette/tape drive with it. A more complete list of what I am seeking just to be sure is as follows: * Commodore 64 computer, 'Breadbox' Model or 'C' Model, with a preference for the 'C' model. - Working, all keys, etc. * WITH The Power Supply. * Commodore Tape Drive, Working - That I can use to pipe in MP3s. Anything else I may or may not be interested in! Thank you for your time!
