Vectrex Carry Case Folding Instructions and Photos for GCE / MB Vectrex Logo cases See Folding Instructions and picture in my Google photos album https://photos.app.goo.gl/XYYGgxRZpmy3J5F6A Vectrex Carry Case Collapsing and Folding Instructions: Instructions below are used for the Vectrex Carry Cases shown with branding for General Consumer Electronics (GCE), Milton Bradley (MB), and unbranded Vectrex logo only carry cases.: There were two methods GCE and MB folded the Vectrex Carry Case at the factory. I think this might have been due to different production runs. Both methods are outlined below. The better method "A" is show first in the list. This is also the most common method used even if it was not used in the earliest Carry Case shipments. Please note the first method "A" assumes the carry case side have the creases and folding. If your carry case has the creases and folding in the front-rear then use the other method "B" that follows below method "A". Please note all Vectrex Carry cases have two user component parts to the Carry Case. Component Part 1: The large Carry Case itself. The main body of the Carry Case is made mostly of a fabric similar to Cordura. All carry cases in include a top flap with an attached Velcro strip to hold the closed. All carry cases in include carry handle straps on each side of the case that are sewn in place with rivets for strengthening the strap attachment points. Component Part 2: The Baseplate support. The Baseplate support is made of a carboard flat that is covered in either fabric, or plastic. The baseplate a square, or slightly rectangular, shape. The baseplate is inserted into the inside bottom at the bottom carry case. The baseplate is used to shape the carry case after unfolding. The baseplate also provides some cushioning and structure to the bottom of the carry case. A majority of the Baseplates are covered with a with sewn grey nylon fabric. Other simpler Baseplates were covered with silver colored plastic with heat sealed edges. Vectrex Carry Case Folding Method A (Case with creased sides): Assuming the case is already unfolded and in use, Remove the fabric/plastic baseplate from the interior bottom of the Vectrex Carry Case. Stand the carry case vertically with the bottom of the case up. Ensure the top flap is unfolded from the case. The sides of the Carry Case are creased vertically at the middle between the carry handle strap attachment points. Push sides slightly inward ensuring they are both folding inward at the crease. At the same time as folding inward, tuck the fabric bottom inward into the folds. Continue folding side and tucking in bottom until the carry case is fully collapsed. Tuck the carry handle straps into the side folds. After collapsing the carry case place the baseplate over the front logo. Fold the top cover over the front front of the carry case covering both the baseplate and logo. Vectrex Carry Case Folding Method B (Case with creased front and rear): Assuming the case is already unfolded and in use, Remove the Fabric/Plastic baseplate from the interior bottom of the Vectrex Carry Case. Stand the carry case vertically with the bottom of the case up. The front and back of the carry case are creased vertically at the middle with the crease running through the front Logo. Fold the top cover up to the bottom of the carry case to cover the rear of the carry case. Push front and rear of the case slightly inward ensuring they are both folding inward at the crease. At the same time as folding inward, tuck the fabric bottom inward into the folds. Also tuck the top cover into the carry case rear fold. Continue folding the case with tucking in bottom and ensuring the top cover is folding into the rear crease until the carry case is fully collapsed. After collapsing the carry case place the baseplate over the front logo. Fold the top cover over the front front of the carry cases covering both the baseplate and logo. For people shipping a Vectrex Carry Case some extra details. Fully collapse a folded back by placing inside of a plastic bag and using a vacuum source to draw out the excess air. After collapse you will be able to fit a bagged carry case inside one of the following boxes for shipment • USPS Priority Mail Regional Rate Box B2 SKU RRB-B2X, • USPS Priority Mail Box 1095 SKU O-1095X, • UPS Large UPS Express Box. (snug fit) Shipping weight should be 3 Lbs (2 Lbs 12 Oz) or about 1.3 Kg BTW, I DO NOT recommend shipping a Vectrex carry case only inside a polyethylene mailing envelope. Those envelopes have no support and can easily rip, offering little protection against crushing and stains. Instead place the folded carry case inside a pouch or Ziploc sliding channel storage bag before placing it inside the mailer. And if you decide to use a plastic envelopment mailer, then make it a large bubble cushioned mailer. These Vectrex carry cases also carry the Bandai Vectrex (バンダイ 光速船 / Kousokusen) but do not have the Japanese logo or language. The Bandai Vectrex only had an unpadded and unpocketed carry bag for the Japan region. Below is an album with pictures for that regional bag. https://photos.app.goo.gl/qQcRydzp1MfxLzI62

EDIT: Thanks to INTVCruise and Zeptari, I now have manuals for the 5200 Space Shuttle, and the 2600 Atari Video Cube. Many thanks again to the both of you!!! So all I'm still lacking is the 5200 Mario Bros., and the 2600 Tooth Protectors (which I realize is very rare). If anyone out there has either of these instruction manuals (in good shape, with no tears or writing on them), and is willing to let go of them for a reasonable price, please let me know. Thanks so much!!!

SELLING ENTIRE COLLECTION FROM 1980's. I worked as a sales rep for Activision in the early 1980's and have a LOT of prototypes (14 total - 8 for 2600, 2 for 5200, 4 for Intellivision), used games in boxes (40+ and mostly Actiivision titles), a 2600 and a 400 game console and even typed original drafts of instructions for 5 games. I want to sell it ALL IN ONE LOT. According to these blogs the protos should be worth about $80 each, no idea of the value of the instruction manuals, and we all know the value of the other games and consoles (not much...). I also have two unopened, sealed ROBOT TANK by Activision for the 2600. Check out the pics. I live in San Diego and YOU will pay shipping. First $600 (plus shipping) can have it ALL, right now! Or make your best offer. and highest bidder just may get this Collection. I had trouble uploading the pics from Google so here's a link top the pics - just copy and paste... (Sorry, I am a salesman, not a tech!!!) LOL https://photos.app.goo.gl/WN5DyyNTrGApAnec7

This is by no means comprehensive, but I have compiled several 5200 game manuals into one list. I have attached it here as a Word document and as a PDF file. Please add to this if you have some that I don't. I want to print this out and bind it together to keep beside my system as a handy-dandy reference. 5200 game manuals for printing all.pdf 5200 game manuals for printing all.docx

In times like these it is becoming more important, urgent, even vital, that when going about your business and engaging in daily activities and hobbies such as our favorite pastime like vintage computing, that you keep an eye out for a complete set of manuals for your system. Including reference cards. They really add to the nostalgia factor and may even have information you don't know about. If you're an expert with your favorite machine and have no use for manuals get them anyways. They look good on a shelf and add a level of seriousness to your setup. And they're not getting any cheaper, but there's there's still time! Reading a vintage manual that you read decades ago can take you back just the same as playing with the actual hardware. The manuals and books add flavor and "detail" to the experience. I would even go as far to say they're more important than the boxes if you're messing with computers. The manuals and 3rd party books help shape today's experience in the same form as yesteryear's. They impart a sense of what was going on back then. What was important back then. It can be a real joy to work through the programming examples that illustrate various aspects of the hardware. And this applies even more so to 3rd party books - because authors not directly associated with the computer manufacturer had other goals in mind. Think experimentation and real working practical examples and projects. And different perspectives not shaped by corporate culture. Artful expressions and all that. And consider a folder of text files and .PDFs almost as valuable. You may be able to find a ton of stuff online today, it won't be there forever. Stuff goes missing on the internet all the time. Especially the suddenly important stuff that you just started looking for. While book and manual prices have remained cheap for the past 20 or so years, they are beginning to rise in price. It isn't too late to fill that bookshelf with goodies!

Has anybody gone through the arduous process of typing up the Intellivision game manuals to be 20 characters wide for the LTO Flash? I did a few a while back, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel here.

I briefly posted about these earlier, but a while ago I picked up laminated Intellivision game instructions. These are likely from an in-store display, possibly a playable station. Below are 4 teaser photos just to show what they overall look like and show the order that they arrived in (might be the original order or maybe someone re-ordered them). Yes, there might be 1 instruction card missing that went between Football and Chess, this is not definite. There will be a follow-up post today with each side digitally scanned so everyone can get a good close look at these. The posted ones will be at 150 dpi, but I can make 600 dpi copies available for individuals who want them (a 130MB download). If you take a close look at overlays, you will see that they are re-drawn versions of the original overlays we know and love. This likely optimized them for black-and-white printing. Interestingly, the Astrosmash overlay appears to what it would have looked like if the Meteor game had been fully included as original planned. Has any other image of the Astrosmash + Meteor overlay been uncovered before? A minor difference also spotted is that the Utopia overlay building image over the "2" button is missing its windows (viewable in the upcoming digital scans). I have not fully read or analyzed these yet. There likely are more differences so feel free to point them out (once I post all the detailed scans).

Hi Everyone, I am not a collector of Atari paperwork. I do appreciate it and know there is a market for it, but I'm personally not a CIB or completest collector by any means. I just enjoy playing the games on classic consoles. To that end, I'm selling off my collection of manuals and catalogs that I have. I have commons and some more rare ones, each one has been cataloged as best I could on the spreadsheet below. https://db.tt/Bd2iyisAfw PM me if interested! Willing to sell or trade! Thanks!

Hello again, y’all! I’ll need INTELLIVISION game controller overlays (or (at least) the graphics files for those by that guy from England...), as I plan to get myself an INTELLIVISION (or (preferrably) a rare TUTORVISION) video game console to convert it to an ULTIMATE INTELLIVISION FLASHBACK unit (with a Raspberry Pi 2B+ and extra ports...). Please send PAIRS (preferrably 2 PAIRS) of overlays (or the package of graphics files for those), as I’ll be needing them for use with my new ULTIMATE INTELLIVISION FLASHBACK console. I’ll also be updating content on the INTELLIVISION Archival Materials Thread on the AtariAge Forums. Thank You!

Solaris for the 2600 is my favourite game on the system. I've been playing it since it first came out but was only able to finish it a couple years ago with help from people on this site. Back then we didn't have the internet, and I was hoping to find a decent map so that I didn't have to start drawing it from scratch. The best I found was an infograph created by John Russel Ernest (I've included it below), and although it's good, I was sorely disappointed. So I decided that if a decent map of the Solaris universe didn't exist, I would have to build it myself. So I did. I re-wrote the awful instructions, included my map and the solution I used to finish the game. Created a topic and gave everyone that guide. Years later I'm back. Why? Because the map wasn't finished. No one had ever mapped the wormholes or figured out how many keys are on each of the Corridor Planets or how many Cadets are on all the Zylon Planets. So I included it. Since I was already in there, there were strategies on Zylon Fleets I didn't include, or a section on Phasing, that I use through out the entire solution. So here it is....everything you ever wanted to know about Solaris but were afraid to ask. Included below is my new guide and the map (also in the guide). I want to see others do as I have done and complete this awesome game. Good Luck! Solaris Solution 1.5.pdf
