  1. http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/al-alcorn/ Needless to say, if this guy had ballsed up Pong, the video game industry may not have existed today. Now we’ve blown your mind I’m pleased to see he absolutely smashed Pong so let us introduce the gaming legend, godfather of the industry which we love, Al Alcorn. Enjoy Adrian
  2. Famously bad joystick for sale or trade. I'm not sure the value so I'm looking for offers. There are a few for sale on non-U.S. ebay in $60-$100 range, with high shipping costs. I'm not actually sure of the function of this joystick either and could use some direction on that. I can only test that it is partially functional on 2600.
  3. I have a Electra Concepts Masterplay Interface 5200 in excellent condition, adult games Custer's Revenge and Eat'em & Best'em all FOR SALE... also 2 Wico Command controllers (joystick and keypad)
  4. Hi all, I recently pulled my Atari 2600jr from storage for testing. I only have one cart to play with (Battlezone) and it's not really working. I'm connecting it via RF using the original cable. There is sound but video is very very distorted and from time to time disappears altogether. Basically it's unusable in this state. What could be the culprit? Thanks
  5. Swordquest podcast: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-march-3-2018/ Hi guys, Please see above link to listen to my tribute / story of the infamous Atari competition; Swordquest for Arcade Attack's latest podcast! I also have a few exclusive quotes from Tod Frye (the games creator) thrown in for good measure. A proper podcast interview with Tod is scheduled for the near future! I look at the main drivers of the competition, the history of the four games, the comics and prizes, the winners and losers of the competition and what could have been... FYI: Sorry about the sound quality of this particular podcast. We had a few issues with the file export and rather than scrap the pod completely we wanted to give our listeners a warning. This is not out usual sound quality. Sorry. Kind regards Adrian
  6. Data informs our decisions it helps us keep track of what we have and what we may want to get. Some people are creating database apps for managing their collections but these rely on outside data providers. I want to add an extra game provider section to Telllico my collection database app of choice as it already can manage everything from movies to book or your own custom collection. I am wondering are there any mostly complete databases of Atari 2600 games that can be downloaded and used? If not are there any open APIs for querying any existing databases that can be used in an Open Source database app? Any information or experience is appreciated.
  7. Could not locate sed.exe. Please copy sed.exe to C:\Users\User\Downloads. This will improve DASM error reporting Precompilation failed, aborted at 2/9/2018 11:11:46 PM can anyone help???????????????????????????????????????????
  8. Here are some pictures of my game room. Took about two years to complete from start to finish. I built it up from scratch, framing the walls, running electricity, etc. Hope you guys enjoy.
  9. What are your Must Own and most Overrated games in your collection. You know which games tend to be played the most or are the shining example of what makes the Atari 2600 great. You also may have heard hype about a game, played it and was underwhelmed what are your choices for the best and the overrated. Homebrews do count so feel free to post you favs and you disappointments.
  10. With MGC being about 3 months away, figured now is the best time to send out my feelers for helpers for Jagfest section there. I am hoping to make it this year to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of this event that started in chicago on july 12th,1997(working on getting my license to drive instead of taking megabus or relying on going with others) if anybody is interested in helping let me know. Side note: we also looking for some help on the section for VGS in July as well while we can't do much with space limits, but any help with jagfst section is good. so let me know about that as well.
  11. Hi Guys Just thought I would share a friendly link to a nice interview with the Atari / Pitfall! legend David Crane: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/david-crane/ Please enjoy. Adrian
  12. Hi guys. I am a new member here, but I wanted to give the AtariAge members first dibs on this Kiosk before I list it on eBay. I have looked through the forums, and it appears the last Kiosk sold in 2014, but I don't see what price it sold for, and one in 2013 for I am assuming $750. I don't think one has popped up since then. This kiosk does not have the built in brain board. I purchased this from an older couple who got it from a K-Mart in 1986. It has been sitting in their basement ever since, and does show some signs of wear, but nothing major. Most damage as you will see in the photos is along the front control panel laminate. There is some moisture damage on the underside at the base in the rear, but you can't even see it when up against a wall. Also, it appears to be missing two of the bottom shelves, but a piece of MDF would suffice in replacement, it is pretty basic. T-molding all looks pretty decent, plexi has some scuffs but not too bad. Around the control panel there is some staining from what looks like Pepsi or something, but not too bad. I tried to clean it the best I could but with a little extra work I'm sure it could be restored further. The controls work great. In fact, it makes playing 2600 enjoyable lol. The paddles might need a shot of electronics cleaner, but they both still function fairly well. It is currently stationed in my garage, up on pallets. The featured photo shows it all decked out with merchandise (and photoshopped into a nicer looking room rather than a garage, lol) - sorry, games not included. Please click the imgur album link to see more photos. Included is the kiosk itself, the gnarly Sony Trinitron, and the 2600 console. I am in the Springfield/Dayton area in Ohio, and I assume most of you would prefer to pickup so you could see it in person first - but if I can get close to my price I might consider doing a delivery, make a weekend out of it. It would be delivered disassembled of course (assembly is like 12 screws). Here is my eBay user account if you'd like to check my feedback/whatever; http://www.ebay.com/usr/poisongoomba Link to imgur album with more photos: http://imgur.com/a/auJBu Please feel free to ask me any questions about it. I don't have a lot of room to store it, and I would love it to go to a good home where it can be preserved. Thanks! EDIT: I currently have a standing offer for $1500, the buyer wants to meet me in September. So I will put a hold on until then.

  14. Dear all, please check out a recent, truthful and insightful interview with Atari Jaguar legend B.J. West: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/bj-west/ I have also recorded a special Atari Jaguar CD podcast for Arcade Attack where I discuss the ill-fated peripheral, why it failed and whether Black Ice/White Noise could have helped save the Jaguar and even Atari! Please give it a listen if you get a chance: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-july-2-2017/ Kind Regards @Arcade_Adriano

  17. I was hoping to find some information about if the Atari Flashback 9 firmware is able to be modded to use something like the Genesis Game Manager. I can't seem to find any information about the Atari FB9, only info about the 2018 Genesis HD. Anybody more knowledgeable than myself able to shed some light on the matter?
  18. Hello guys! This is my first post and English is not my first language, so please forgive any mistakes. So a few days ago I found this little guy in a storage room filled with broken pcbs and other junk and i decided to try and fix it. First i noticed that the top part of the power switch was missing so i closed the circuit by putting jumpers on the switch, then plugged in a 9v adapter and tried hooking it up to a CRT to see if it was working...nothing came up so the first thing i checked was the 7805 regulator which was dead. I replaced the 7805 and i made a rough RF to AV mod (just video. no sound) from a schematic i found online. I plugged it in (AV) and this time it worked perfectly, even when i connected it through RF, it had a bunch of built in games on it, it was great! But sadly after 10 minutes or so, the picture went crazy all of a sudden with flashing colors of all kinds of patterns (see attached photos). Also when i plug it to the RF connector the picture is blue-ish with static and there is a high piched sound in the background. I really hope i didn't fry it or something, because i wanted to make a case for it and give it to my brother as a birthday present... Any ideas what's wrong with it, or how to troubleshoot it? I'm not really good on electronics but i know a thing or two... I also attached the AV mod i i did (not my photo). Thanks in advance!

Maybe closer to the end of the week for cash. I have my wishlist along with the other stuff in the attached link. 22. Ok so i have been working on a variation to this thread http://atariage.com/forums/topic/231131-flashback-to-colecovision-controller/?hl=%2Bflashback&do=findComment&comment=3805492 i have gone through and fixed the issues with the code pasted in the above link and rewritten it to allow a jaguar joypad to be used the current working prototype runs using every usabe IOpi on an atmga328p-pu microcontroller using its internal 8hz clock before i would decide where i should go from here i would like some feedback i cant add any more functionality using this processor becuase it is being fully used, so say if i wanted to add 2 players it would mean using another processor of the same settup to control joypad 2 an option would be to use at atmega 2560 which has many more pins that could be used. unfortunately this is a surface mount chip so it i a bit of a pain to make your own boards with it attached especially for prototypes i have hopfully attached a poll to this for everyone to provide some feedback before i decide what to do next
