  1. Dear all, please check out a recent, truthful and insightful interview with Atari Jaguar legend B.J. West: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/bj-west/ I have also recorded a special Atari Jaguar CD podcast for Arcade Attack where I discuss the ill-fated peripheral, why it failed and whether Black Ice/White Noise could have helped save the Jaguar and even Atari! Please give it a listen if you get a chance: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-july-2-2017/ Kind Regards @Arcade_Adriano
  2. Could not locate sed.exe. Please copy sed.exe to C:\Users\User\Downloads. This will improve DASM error reporting Precompilation failed, aborted at 2/9/2018 11:11:46 PM can anyone help???????????????????????????????????????????
  3. http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/al-alcorn/ Needless to say, if this guy had ballsed up Pong, the video game industry may not have existed today. Now we’ve blown your mind I’m pleased to see he absolutely smashed Pong so let us introduce the gaming legend, godfather of the industry which we love, Al Alcorn. Enjoy Adrian
  4. Here are some pictures of my game room. Took about two years to complete from start to finish. I built it up from scratch, framing the walls, running electricity, etc. Hope you guys enjoy.
  5. What are your Must Own and most Overrated games in your collection. You know which games tend to be played the most or are the shining example of what makes the Atari 2600 great. You also may have heard hype about a game, played it and was underwhelmed what are your choices for the best and the overrated. Homebrews do count so feel free to post you favs and you disappointments.
  6. Please enjoy my 2nd Jag review for Arcade Attack. This time I look at the awesome Tempest 2000: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/tempest-2000-jaguar/ Best game on the console? Kind Regards Adrian
  7. Prices do not include shipping. SOLD! Vic20 Lot (Non-working Console, 14 Boxed Games, Unused printer) - $150 The console doesn't appear to be fully working. The red light turns on and I get a flicker in the video signal but no other activity. Boxed Cartridges (untested since I don't have a working console): Cosmic cruncher, Jupiter Lander, Mole Attack, Number Nabber/Shape Grabber, Omega Race, Pinball Spectacular, Raid On Ford Knox, Road Race, Seawolf, Speed / Bingo Math, Super Alien And what appears to be two copies of: The Sky Is Falling, Vic Avenger and Radar Ratrace SOLD! Commodore MPS-801 Printer APPEARS TO BE UNUSED! I got this in trade along with my C128 but I don't need it and am including it with this lot. The box is falling apart but can be included or left out at the buyers request. I wasn't told that it was unused but it appears to be as far as I can tell and is further evidenced by the tag pictured below attached to a tube that is meant to be removed before use. SOLD! Pentium Pro server parts $100 I believe these came from a Compaq Proliant server I used to have. I have no way to test them but I believe they were working when removed. 3 Pentium Pro processors (two SL22z 512K and one STB32 256K) 8 32MB EDO memory sticks (compaq part # 228468-001) 6 Processor Voltage Regulators SOLD! Vintage Pocket Computers SOLD! Compaq 2015C C-Series Pocket Computer (Complete in box!) $10 This was my wife's computer, bought new and barely used. When I checked it out it looks like one of the hinge covers has cracked so the lid doesn't stay in place. I saved the other half in a ziplock back inside the box so it can be repaired. Doesn't boot off batter but that may be due to dead button cell battery (usually Cr2032). It does boot on AC. SOLD! Compaq Aero 2180 (Complete in box) $20 I bought this brand new around 1999 when I was working for Compaq and got a deal good enough to make me upgrade from my Palm Pilot. It was the first color pocket computer of this form factor if I believe. This was the deluxe top of the line package that included a spare battery, largest storage capacity, and charging base with spare battery charging port. I used the pretty regularly and even used it as a music player storing MP3 on a CompactFlash. I charged both batteries and was able to boot to the setup screen from battery. SOLD! Boxed Atari 7800 Baseball (no manual) and Chiplifter! 8. Hey all, We are NewWaveToys (the creators of Replicade) and we just launched a Kickstarter! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/529306246/replicade-mini-centipede-arcade-machine-replica-12 We are going for a truly authentic feel with our Centipede machine, just in 1/6th scale. It is completely licensed through Atari, which allows us to use all the original art as well as the original ROM. We posted on the Replicade thread, but we also wanted to create our own. If you have any questions about the Centipede machine or anything else, feel free to ask! (although I may not be able to answer everything).
  9. I'm presently in the market for an Atari XE game system. The bare minimum I want is the console & keyboard with any accessories for TV hookup. If anyone has the whole setup - console, keyboard, joystick, light gun, Flight Simulator and Bug Hunt Cartridges, hookup accessories - that's even better. I reside in the USA. While I am willing to pay for shipping in the USA and Canada, I will not pay shipping costs for any units from elsewhere (UK, Europe, etc). Anyone who has the above and is willing to part with it can either reply here or contact me via DM. If we decide to do business and close the deal, I'm willing to cut a check but can negotiate other payment terms.
  10. Hi guys. I am a new member here, but I wanted to give the AtariAge members first dibs on this Kiosk before I list it on eBay. I have looked through the forums, and it appears the last Kiosk sold in 2014, but I don't see what price it sold for, and one in 2013 for I am assuming $750. I don't think one has popped up since then. This kiosk does not have the built in brain board. I purchased this from an older couple who got it from a K-Mart in 1986. It has been sitting in their basement ever since, and does show some signs of wear, but nothing major. Most damage as you will see in the photos is along the front control panel laminate. There is some moisture damage on the underside at the base in the rear, but you can't even see it when up against a wall. Also, it appears to be missing two of the bottom shelves, but a piece of MDF would suffice in replacement, it is pretty basic. T-molding all looks pretty decent, plexi has some scuffs but not too bad. Around the control panel there is some staining from what looks like Pepsi or something, but not too bad. I tried to clean it the best I could but with a little extra work I'm sure it could be restored further. The controls work great. In fact, it makes playing 2600 enjoyable lol. The paddles might need a shot of electronics cleaner, but they both still function fairly well. It is currently stationed in my garage, up on pallets. The featured photo shows it all decked out with merchandise (and photoshopped into a nicer looking room rather than a garage, lol) - sorry, games not included. Please click the imgur album link to see more photos. Included is the kiosk itself, the gnarly Sony Trinitron, and the 2600 console. I am in the Springfield/Dayton area in Ohio, and I assume most of you would prefer to pickup so you could see it in person first - but if I can get close to my price I might consider doing a delivery, make a weekend out of it. It would be delivered disassembled of course (assembly is like 12 screws). Here is my eBay user account if you'd like to check my feedback/whatever; http://www.ebay.com/usr/poisongoomba Link to imgur album with more photos: http://imgur.com/a/auJBu Please feel free to ask me any questions about it. I don't have a lot of room to store it, and I would love it to go to a good home where it can be preserved. Thanks! EDIT: I currently have a standing offer for $1500, the buyer wants to meet me in September. So I will put a hold on until then.
  11. Here is my list of spares, for sale, for trade: http://www.classic-consoles-center.at/s__tradesell.pdf Prices are in the list. And I will be happy to trade.
  12. Before anybody starts trolling about using CRTs over PC monitors, I just want to know if anyone on here has used a modded Atari with the Enko Composite to HDMI converter or something similar and had it work on a modern LCD/LED PC Monitor. I need to record some gameplay, so its important that I can use a PC Monitor. What I have currently is an ASUS VE247H. I know the converter works with my SNES and Sega Model 1 (but only with the 32X hooked up to it). I do not have a modded Atari though, and was wanting to know if I got mine modded, if it would work as well.

  15. For those of you still needing to fill that Tigervision hole in your 8-bit Atari collection, there's a 'Matterhorn' up now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Matterhorn-HOLY-GRAIL-for-Atari-8-bit-Computers-400-800-XL-XE-ONLY-SEVEN-KNOWN-/111629975616? Not the crème de la crème, but rare as sin nevertheless.

  17. Well, over the next couple of months I'm going to do some spring cleaning, as it were. (this will make my better half so happy I may have to tie her down!) I've got doubles of almost everything I have and sometimes in triplicate. Can't see any reason to leave some of this stuff stored away in a closet when someone might be able to get some mileage out of it. On top of that, I'm in my 50's now and I honestly don't have as much time to do what I want to any more (isn't that a sad thing!). Anyway, here is a 4 meg, TOS 2.06, 40 (approx) meg hard drive Mega STe for sale. It's got a few cosmetic blemishes, some slight yellowing, and the floppy drive gives the usual "data on floppy drive a may be damaged" error. I'd always meant to work on this one and bring it all the way back up to par but never got around to it. An Atari mouse, Mega STe keyboard, and power cord are all included. It does not include the SC1224 monitor in the pictures/video. First reasonable offer gets it - PM the offers to me please. Buyer pays S&H. Paypal would be the preferred form of payment. I'd rather sell it to someone here rather than fool with Ebay, if at all possible. Sold "as is". Short, horrible video of it booting up is here:
  18. Here's a list of my current 8-bit collection, starting with the working units! One working 400. One working 800. One working 600xl. Just put together a working 800XL out of two junkers. One working 1200XL. And one working XEGS. Just enough 'safe' power supplys to go around for the XL's and the XEGS. Along with these, I have a couple 1050 disk drives, an 810 drive, and some other pieces parts floating around that I need to gather up again. I also have parts 400, another 800 that MIGHT move up to working status if I can get a keyboard, and another 1200XL that is in beautiful shape, but the keyboard currently does not work at all, not even the option buttons. Might have to try and take that keyboard apart like I did my first 1200XL and clean all the contacts. A very TEDIOUS process! Oh, I also have ingots... three or four so far.... Bleah...
  19. Hello everybody:) I just downloaded to latest version of Stella onto my laptop and got the ROMS for it. I was wondering if anybody had any joystick advice for me. The USB sticks that look like Atari knockoffs on Amazon have pitiful ratings. I'm surprised that their isn't more of a selection for vintage gaming enthusiast. I wanted to get two joysticks so my Wife and I could play together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott
  20. The bitmap brothers in action with XENON II They are one of the biggest heroes of the 16-bit gamescene on atari st/amiga (and then snes) in those time with XENON, SPEEDBALL, XENON II, CADAVER, GODS, CHAOS ENGINE, Z etc. and now they are collecting money for a book about the bitmap brothers. You can see preview on the kickstarter site. Time to support them and bring the bitmap brothers to print. Make it possible on kickstarter! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darrenwall/the-bitmap-brothers-universe > The book cover: You don't know them? than it is time to jump into their fantastic worlds: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bitmap_Brothers

  22. I recently bought a working Light Sixer and after 4 days the B/W switch went out. It works some of the time, but it can get stuck on B&W very easily. Sometimes it just goes to B/W for no reason. Typically when this happens if I leave it alone for a few days it'll be working but other times it won't. Also the reset switch sometimes does not respond. I have a second light sixer with a burnt out video capacitor on the MB. Would it be possible to use it's switches as parts for my newer system? Could it just be dirty contacts on the new system? Any suggestions? I can't solder to save my life but I feel comfortable opening stuff up, cleaning, and replacing easy parts. I have some friends that might be able to solder for me if that's my only option. I guess the other option would be to replace the "Chicklet" capacitor on the broken atari and hope that fixes it, but I tried to buy the part from Radio Shack a few years ago and just got shrugs. Anyway just throwing this out there looking for advice/suggestions.
  23. Hello everyone, I am looking for a Joystick Y Splitter Cable (2 controllers into 1 gameport) for my ColecoVision, Atari and Genesis. Its a DB9 type plug and Loose would be fine. Not looking for CIB ..but if one is available cheap enough, i may be a buyer still.. Here's some names of the companies that produced these cables: - Wico - Dynamics - Newport Controls - Questar Controls - Gemini Industries I don't prefer one company over another.. ANY brand will do and have been looking for one for months now. Never thought it would be this tough! Anyway.. If anyone has a working one to spare, you will be rewarded handsomely. I might even consider non working cable since i might able to repair it but it would have to be very cheap. Please PM me if you are able to help in any way, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks for looking and for your time.. -Todd
  24. So just got my Arcadia supercharger in the mail but even after extensive cleaning of the pins it still just starts black and flashes yellow. I have no idea what to do. Im afraid there's a blown capacitor or something inside it. What say you? Any ideas? BTW before I forget Im using an Atari Jr so its not a 7800 issue.
  25. I have an ebay auction with the following Supercharger related stuff: Arcadia (Starpath) Supercharger (tested works) Original Stella Gets a New Brain CD that is Numbered 154 (Excellent Condition) Original Booklet (Some minor wear on binding - the glare in the image makes it look worse than it is) Original Jewelbox with Artwork Starpath Tapes: 2 copies Phaser Patrol, 2 copies Suicide Mission, 1 copy Escape from Mindmaster, 1 copy of Fireball Manuals for Communist Mutants from Space, Phaser Patrol, Killer Satellites and Escape from Mindmaster I also will include an adapter that I've been using to connect the Supercharger to my iPod. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F161114297321%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMESELX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1555.l2649 Thanks for Reading!
